The Crown House Hotel in Uttlesford

The service was great. Been here 5 years ago. The staff were welcoming too.

Had a family wake at this hotel Chris, Claire,Ray and the rest of the team all looked after the 100+ guest very well. They made a sad day a nice one.

We had my father's wake at The Crown House and we couldn't fault them. The staff were wonderful through every stage of organising the event and on the day itself - they were calm, kind, thoughtful and incredibly well organised. The venue was warm and cosy and just the right size for our group of 30 people. The buffet was very fresh and well displayed - the home made cakes were very good indeed! They looked after my mum very well and were very patient, we never felt in the way or hurried. They diligently packed up the leftover food for us to take away and helped us carry things out to the car. Everywhere was clean and comfortable. We were very happy with our experience.

Would definitely stay again. Traveled for business. Beautiful 4 poster bed, large room, the most amazing deep bathtub, garden view. Really recommend.

Attended for a function. Good food and friendly staff. Hotel needs a bit of a tidy up generally

Terrible uncomfortable bed, dated rooms, creaky floors, shower was a dribble at best after running for 5 min to get it warm. Annex room stuffy and too hot, cheap transparent curtains. Breakfast was brill and ideally located for Duxford air show though after a really bad night's sleep

A nice visit, rooms a little tired but the location was lovely, the staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was very nice.
