A fantastic evening of delicious food in a welcoming environment. We were met by warm smiles from staff and locals. Locals up for a friendly chat, which we appreciated. Food was served hot, plentiful and YUM YUM YUM! We all had different dishes; garlic mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, crab cakes (starters) double burger, crispy chicken and steak pie (mains). Best steak pie I’ve eaten anywhere (England or Scotland). Nobody was disappointed, in fact, we all were so full after our meals, not one of us could attempt a pudding which was a shame as I so wanted to try the sticky toffee pud! Bonus…the price…such value for money. We had travelled 6 hours to visit a friend who was passing through the area. If I had spare hours in my days, I’d happily drive the distance to enjoy an evening at the Crown Hotel. If you have the chance, you’ll be glad you did, enjoy 😊

Called into Crown after a long walk, Eileen really friendly, good cold pint enjoyed. Locals who came in were welcoming and a great laugh. Scampi is the recommended dish by the locals. Would visit again.

Extremely courteous very helpful and a pleasure to have visited while staying at nearby campsite. Eileen was an angel in disguise taking us back there after wee session

We were a party of 6 staying at nearby Castle of Park and booked The Crown as it was local and dog-friendly. Eileen, who took my telephone booking, could not have been more helpful. One of our party is vegetarian and Eileen ensured there was a good choice of food for her. The hotel was warm, welcoming with traditional "pub grub". Huge portions, well cooked and with lovely waiting staff, this place is a little gem. Our dog was made to feel welcome too, and I cannot thank Eileen and her wonderful staff enough for making this meal so special. We even had Christmas crackers and chocolate mints with our coffee! The Crown gives real value for money and I would go back again in a heartbeat when in Glenluce again.

Anyone know what has happened to this company? It had rave reviews, I had friends who had ordered from them but poof they now cease to exist. No media explanation. Web site closed with no message. Very odd as they seemed to be doing a roaring trade.

Great wee cafe in the centre of Dumfries and my go-to place for a morning coffee. More character than all the other "chain" establishments in town put together. Table service. Dog friendly. Lovely staff. What's not to like 👍
