OMG the food was soooooooooooo hot and delicious. Fireside cosiness, decor par excellence and no music playing!!!!! I was in 7th heaven.

I’ve been here with a few friends for dinner. We had a fantastic server, Sabina, who recommended some great beer and freshly made food. Her knowledge and friendliness were great. We will be back.

Went for the new owners first Sunday roast. Took my two teenage sons who both ordered the chicken. Half a chicken came out and their eyes lit up!! Obviously couldn’t finish but quality was excellent. I had the pork belly and left feeling rather pleased with myself. Might have been the two Guinness I had with said lunch?! Who knows. Service was impeccable. Manager, big ex rugby lad was a great laugh and looked after us like we were in his house for Sunday lunch. Great turnaround for a beautiful pub. Back to being my local

Popped into the newly opened Crown and Anchor and met the publican Duncan , very friendly and welcoming . Opted for the Spicy chicken burger which was amazing would highly recommend, then I took the family on Sunday for a Roast - it was great both the pork and chicken were huge and great size portions of veges and potatoes . Good solid wine and beer list as well. Will be back again.

I have just been served one of the worst meals I've ever experienced in this pub. There was limited menu(which I usually like) We ordered some shared starters which were ok but quite expensive; our mains were mainly roasts which were dreadful. I ordered a vegetarian which came accompanied by a sausage so had to be returned; most of the meals were accomanied by cold side dishes, despite sitting on the seving hatch under lamps for 20mins or so). It wasn't busy so really no excuse. One of us had fish & chips which was edible(but the fish was very small). On entry several of the beer pumps were covered and out of 8 red wines on menu, only 3 were available. The serving staff tried their best and we did receive a discount(above the 2 meals we sent back), but | will never go there again.

Came for Sunday roast, was quite disappointing, powdery roast potatoes, overdone beef, flat Yorkshire pud and watery gravy. Staff were lovely, and replaced some missing items off my wife's chicken roast with stuffing, which she commented that the chicken was good.

Was really surprised given how well reviewed this place was. Food is ridiculously overpriced. We we're also charged for service even though we had to order at the bar. My burger was pretty decent and my girlfriends fish was good to but the chips were so dry and basically inedible. I dont expect amazing food but for the price I'd expect it to be a lot better than this

Nice local. Food reasonably priced decent pub grub aspiring to be gastroesque. Staff friendly. Rarely very busy as location is overlooked despite being on main street. As a result closing soon

We've been booking the room upstairs at the Crown and Anchor for over a decade now, and we've always felt well looked after and experienced tremendous value. This time, we needed a space for an important family gathering, and with the weather turning, we needed somewhere comfortable to relax, eat, drink, dance, and sing. We did all of that for hours with attentive service throughout. Thank you for helping make our event so effortless and memorable!

Go for the nachos! Great little pub on Chiswick High Street. The team were friendly and Dylan really looked after us. Shame we didnt win the quiz though. Will be back!

What a pub! A but gloomy on the outside so not really asking you to go in but if you do you really won't be disappointed! Lovely decor, lovely staff and lovely food. We will definitely be going back. Left a pub close by a it was really expensive and this has more realistic prices and the food was really good - PLUS very dog friendly

Amazing cocktails and service! We had a lovely afternoon/evening in here trying plenty of cocktails. Really nice atmosphere and great service. We only called in for one with the intention of visiting a couple of different pubs in Chiswick but the drinks were so good we stayed! Bertie was our cocktail queen and everything she made was perfect! We will definitely be back as these were the best cocktails in Chiswick!

Had a lovely Sunday roast dinner and the staff were very friendly and welcoming

We went for the roast here on Sunday 28th April, my parents had the chicken and I had the beef. All cooked to perfection and the portions were amazing. Highly recommend the food. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and even put the TV on for us even though there was difficulty turning it on. Truly going above and beyond. Reasonably priced, great atmosphere and food and right in the heart of Chiswick, we will definitely be returning.

What a brilliant place to eat in London! Amazingly friendly service combined with glorious home made food at a fair price. We had nachos to share (not just a packet warmed up - they seemed home made with fresh and generous toppings), moorish halloumi fries and rhubarb + apple crumble. Very generous portion and nothing from a packet.

Great find in Chiswick. Varied selection of drinks and craft beer on tap They even have an upstairs function room with its own bar. Service with a smile, couldn’t ask for more

Sunday 4:30 pm - quite quiet. Concerned that it was quiet and the kitchen looked shut however we were pleasantly surprised when we ordered. We got a Sunday Roast Beef and a fish and chip. Absolutely delightful. The staff was very kind and attentive.

I’ve been to this pub for work drinks and been back a few times since for a Sunday roast. The roast is excellent and all the staff I’ve encountered have been very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed the roast beef, my wife is vegetarian and really enjoyed the nut roast. The pub has a great atmosphere. I’ll be back there soon.

Been here a few times now downstairs in the pub for drinks we then tried the food which was amazaing which lead us to enquire about hiring the upstairs bar for our family xmas meal again your staff excelled theselves catering for all Which lead is to asking for the upstairs bar area for a 40th birthday party again your staffs friendly can do attitude shone through again menu was amazing the presention of the food and the taste was also on point

We came in on an overcast Sunday and were immediately greeted by a friendly bartender, we sat down had some lovely drinks and later decided to get food, the staff were very attentive and polite, the food was delicious too! 10/10 I will definitely be coming back!!

This pub is so odd. Asked for hand soap. The bar tender said he would replace it. I had to ask again an hour later - I got asked not to steal it. Get some wall fixtures.

We fancied some food and loved that they had a fish goujon sandwich (or fish finger sandwich 😉). We’ve been coming to London for 15 years and our tradition is a fish finger sandwich, this has to be the best one we’ve had….and all with service with a smile. One of the best pubs in Chiswick for snacks, full on meals and for an old school pub feel. Staff are very attentive and welcoming.

Popped in for a quick Saturday lunch and were met with friendly and swift service. The food was delicious - the best fish and chips we’ve had for years. Def worth a visit and would have stayed longer for a beer if we hadn’t got the car with us.

Really good atmosphere. The karaoke was very entertaining. My favourite part was when everyone was very supportive of the lady who sang and was very, very bad. The staff were nice too.

A decent pub. Benefits from having TV's to show the football and is very nice on the interior. Downsides are that it is quite expensive for a pint, and there doesn't seem to be much of an atmosphere.

Nice place, friendly staff, good selection of beers. Went there for Sunday Roast and was disappointed with it. Cut was not great. Roasted potatoes were more like boiled potatoes. I would not recommend this place for Sunday Roast.

Staff were warm and friendly. The music was amazing. I ordered steak which was very nice. It was just missing the advertised watercress. House red wine was easy to drink. Sometimes there was no background music between the live sets which did affect the ambience.

We recently booked the Crown & Anchor for my 60th Birthday Party..... What a fabulous night. With over 100 people & 2 live bands....the lay-out was perfect, the staff were AMAZING and the food was delicious. We have received SO MANY positive comments over the following days, particularly relating to the brilliant service....you all really helped in creating a truly memorable evening for very many people. We went to a private party and wow what a venue. Staff were amazing from the original planning stage to making sure it was amazing on the night. Sunday sport nothing better. Pub looked good the team were friendly I think a lot of them were new.. but the manager was making up the difference.. really made our day.: we didn’t get up to get drinks.. he saw we were low and honestly after the match we stayed longer because he kept catching us before we finished our round. Smart haha.

Today, my husband and I popped into the Crown and Anchor, with our son, as previously been welcoming and helpful for a quick baby nappy change or pregnant persons visit to the loo. With the last manager I’d had comfortably had a few frank discussions with him about how the “accessible toilet” doubled as a storage room for boxes of toilet paper and two stinky mops with buckets. A couple of months ago during the first trimester of my pregnancy these mop buckets nearly triggered a bout of vomiting as the musty mop stench is vile. The lights are dim and a couple of months ago the toilet was in no way accessible for a wheelchair user or a mother with a pram. I raised my concerns in a friendly and direct way and the manager took it on the chin as it was simply the truth. When I returned a few weeks later most of the boxes were gone, but the buckets were still there. Today, I hadn’t realised it was under new management - that was a painful discovery. After this visit, our impression I can only describe the new manager Julie as fake, passive aggressive and defensive. Before heading in to the toilet, my husband and son went ahead to sort his nappy, and I just grabbed the key and lightly said are the buckets and mops still in there? Julie said yes. And I said oh dear, what a shame as they are smelly and inconvenient when we use that room. They really should be moved. She (with accusatory eyes and arms defensively folded) then said, “excuse me are you having a drink while you visit here?” And I said no (actually my husband was hoping for a coffee and we were even considering where to have lunch). I added that as I’m pregnant I’m legally entitled to use the toilets of public houses and mentioned that my son needed a nappy change. Julie said, yes that’s right. She gave me an insincere smile, and said as there’s no other space for them that’s where they will stay. She added, and it’s a pleasure to meet you. I replied and said, “I think you’re lying.” As I walked to join my husband, I added “well I’ll remove the buckets as we use the space and I might replace them when we leave…” Who wants to be shunting around musty smelly mop buckets when they are just popping to the loo?! She half followed and was adding excuse me? Then my son was trying to avoid being in the toilet, as it stank and was dim. The nail in the coffin, so to speak, was that as my husband was passing the bar as we exited… she said to him, “My deepest sympathies for your life.” My husband said “excuse me?” I then joined after putting the mop buckets back in the “accessible” toilet to return the key, and saw him looking shocked. And I asked her what she said. With arms folded, she repeated the phrase again. It was clearly a dig at the “struggle” he must have sharing a life with me. And she was happy to see us connect the dots. I mentioned that the vibe of the pub was very different since the previous manager left. She said ‘yes, it is…´ with a smile. My husband works in hospitality serving multi millionaires and billionaires. He is an expert at managing tense conversations with a potential customer. To see such poor customer service and communication, delivered by no other than the manager of a public house was shocking. For a manager to say something incredibly rude to someone (my husband) who wasn’t even a part of the initial dialogue was catty and displayed a huge lack of customer service skills. Ultimately, I was in the right. The mops and buckets DON’T belong in the “ACCESSIBLE TOILET”. She had no grace and definitely no skills with navigating a slightly more complicated conversation. And clearly didn’t feel able to admit being in the wrong. PS. Put some air freshener in there!! And change the lights. PPS. The pub lost custom today… and for the future.

Visited this lovely pub on Saturday to watch football with friends. The place was super busy but the service we received was absolutely superb. Huge shout out to Rick. Not often you come across service he has provided. Very friendly, helpful and funny which made our visit even better. Will be back soon for sure .
