chips and burger both cold. was about 30 minutes late. and couldn't see driver on the map at all. 2nd order gone wrong in 1 day

Lovely staff; three spoke to us and were really welcoming. Five stars for the staff. The food was tiny compared with the totally bogus photos online and on the menus - my 'three-pattie' burger was the size of a quarter-pounder and no more. £4 buys one handful of chips. The place was cold, so we asked for the aircon/heater to be put on and it was, after some confusion about how the remote worked. Being 4pm on a Monday the place was pretty empty and we needed somewhere to rant and we could, in a corner. Toilet was spotless (always a good sign in a restaurant) but I wouldn't return. With a tip we paid £55 for a couple of small burgers and chips, a coleslaw, a coffee and a milk shake. London is obscene sometimes.

Its a good job I don’t mind cold food, otherwise it would have been thrown in the bin. The order started well - ordered @19:20 and the response was to be delivered for 20:10.. nope to dismay the time kept being updated - turned up @21:15

Ordered on Deliveroo. Driver had to wait 50 mins for food. I called up to see what the issue was and I was told ‘we’re going as fast as we can’ and argued about the timing. I was so shocked and annoyed. No apology. Had an attitude and just bad customer service. I wouldn’t have minded if the lady had said sorry but she was very defensive. Then when the order was finally delivered, there were items missing after all that! So we waited for an hour for half an order. Such a shame as the food is amazing. Put me off ordering again.

Ordered a "medium" burger and it was well-done, dried-out, nasty.

We normally order from this location which is typically decent food and delivered in 20 mins top. We deciced to visit the Chiswick location this Saturday at lunch. We had our pug with us and were forced to sit outside as per policy. Fine. But the heaters weren’t working and the staff who tried to turn it on said it hasn’t worked in two years…so why not get it fixed??? It took 40 minutes to get our drinks, mind you we were the only people thats right. The only customers in the whole restaurant. Then 60 minutes from ordering to get our food. No napkins or cutlery provided. Chips were stone cold had to ask for fresh ones. I get it you have a lot of online orders. But have some priority for the guests in your establishment. Your two staff members were sitting inside the restaurant folding boxes! Oh and the male toliets! The door was wedged open so you had to use the facilities with an audience. Managment better train your employees. Your in a service business. I habe seen better service and quality at a fast food restaurant!

Second time in two weeks I am very disappointed and won’t be for a third time. It’s like it changed into a different restaurant as the product has changed in quality size and taste. Really not good at all.

For my fellow vegetarians and vegans out there: I always order the same thing: - Californian Burger - Swap Quorn Patty to Bean Patty - Extra Vegan Cheese - Extra Beyond Meat Patty I have experiences ranging from "absolutely amazing" to "what the hell is this and where is half of my order". And trust me experience I do have, I've been ordering from the GBK generally for like 2 years now and from this specific branch for around a year so I ate dozens of these burgers because I used to be completely obsessed. The bean Patty is one of the better ones I tried, it's super delicious and quite heavy. All the toppings work together very well and make a good veggie/vegan burger. However you never know what you will get (when ordering online). The Beond Patty tends to be burned which destroys the taste. You never know if you will get the Guacamole or not (which is a make or break for this burger) and if you pay for extras the chances you get them are similar to when you throw a coin. Also, it is definitely higher priced but for the Californian Burger I would say it somewhat okay.

Super nice team. They packed our 4 Burger 🍔 so beautiful and Manager made sure we get the toppings we love. Both of Staff was very attentive - excactly what we needed after a long day at work. Thank you GBK - food was top notch

Burger was nice. Place was quiet at the time and the service was prompt. Worth a visit if in the area though though there is plenty of choice.

We haven't been here for years. And it is now quite different. The good news is that the burgers and fries and slaw are just as good as we remembered them. The beers were different, but good too. The bad news is that GBK has been taken over by a conglomerate of some sort. The dead hand of the corporate bean counters has stripped out everything else that made GBK such fun to go to. No free monkey nuts when you arrive, none of the quirky Anzac soft drinks, no mints when you leave, none of the relaxed NZ traveller's vibe that used to make it a mini-destination for us. Will we go again - maybe once more, to check out whether, with time, they can again make it a place you look forward to going to.

The quality of the food is getting worse each year. When GBK first started it was premium quality products used. What I received today was rubbish 🗑 Burger was sweaty and wet tomatoe was not fresh chips poor quality 😢 This is the last time I was order it

I have been a customer for many years. My online order this time was terrible. The meat was pink and underdone. The chunky chips were soggy and cold. Will never go back to this resturant.

Couldn't fault the very prompt delivery. Burger was unfortunately a different story. I asked for a medium burger, advertised as 'pink and juicy'. The burger I got was grey and dry, slightly burnt around the edges, and almost inedible, to me. How hard is it not to overcook a burger? Unless someone orders it well done, it shouldn't be well done.

Lovely food and nice staff but zero atmosphere. Most of their business now seems to be home delivery/takeaway so sitting in has no atmosphere.

We ordered 3 burgers & sides from GBK tonight. All of them were overcooked/too well done despite us ordering them medium & juicy. We live .02 blocks from the store & everything was ice cold & dry. About a month ago I ate in store & it was overcooked then, as well. Looking at the other reviews- I see overcooking the burger is a common occurrence. I wish a manager would read the feedback & tell the folks cooking the burgers.

ordered chiptole mayo sauce, got bacconaise. I am a muslim and i dont even eat meat! I will not be ordering from gbk again. Also, the chicken burger was burnt. I dont recommend this place

I orderd 2 burgers just an hour ago from GBK Chiswick. They were totally burnt. It is very disappointing! Deliveroo already refund it. But It is not about money, it is more than that!!! My dad died because of cancer. Does GBK wants us to die? Please see photos.

Poor experience - been coming for years and now they tell me you can’t have the lunch burger the way you want it cooked when they have always offered this choice before as it has to be cooked well/done only. Not the staff in the restaurant’s fault but a Head Office directive will loose them even more customers!! Experience says that the only reason this would be needed is if the burger is being cooked from frozen - so that’s not great to know.

First time for me to try gbk just down the road from home as i normally go to the one near work but i got Just Eat delivery. It was a waste of money for me. I'm not sure why or how gbk messed this up. Burgers ordered didn't match what was described, missing pickles (not so bad). Should have been med-rare but they somehow managed to incinerate them. Same situation with the onion rings. Just Eat has done nothing about it after 48hrs but they did manage to deliver it on time. Looking at the other reviews my experience seems like a 1 off hence can't understand why gbk have managed to ruin something I have had on a regular basis at another location. Thanks as fries were OK though...

I just ordered a takeaway - vegan burger. I was sent a beef burger. I choose to live a life without animals products and I am disgusted I have been carelessly sent meat. All they offered was a refund.

I’ve visited Chiswick branch today during lunchtime with my family, two adults and a toddler. Our general experience was ok BUT we feel deceived as we were overcharged. There is an offer for 3 sided £9. I’ve mentioned to the waiter that we would like to use this offer so ordered 3 sides, two burgers £8,5 and kids menu £2. In total we paid almost £40 which we felt little bit too much from what we expected. We have noticed mistake when we arrived home and there was no point for us to go back and solve it at the restaurant especially with a little kid around and cost of travel. We are disappointed and as an advice - check your bill twice.

Came here with my partner and we had an excellent meal. Got a variety of sides, all of which were lovely - minor faults aside. The sweet potato fries are too thin, and were soggy, and the coleslaw needs a fair bit more mayo to help it blend. Burgers were absolutely excellent, partner had the vegan one and she loved it, even if it had a little too much sauce. I had the cheeseburger, it was fantastic. Cooked exactly how I wanted, and the size was great. Drinks were amazing, got some lemonade and this raspberry and elderflower (I think) drink which were the stand-out bits from the meal. Service was good enough throughout, and the environment was pleasant. Definitely coming back.

The Cole slaw was disappointing in picture no mention it was red cabbage and did not seem to be cheese , plus salad lacked chicken and to much cabbage

Can be good but not consistent and the takeaway order is often incorrect. Eating in better so you're on the spot to make sure it's what you want. Quality is acceptable but with so much competition GBK needs to watch its standards.

The food arrived much later than was quoted. It took a long time to assign a driver and the food arrived cold. We also found a bone in one of the burgers.

The food here is tasty and good quality but they need to sort out their cooking or delivery system. The food arrived cold and late by quite some time. Nearly an hour. The delivery time kept getting put back.When you are paying over forty quid for burger and chips I expect it to be a lot better than that. They are only 10mins away at best by moped from us

Great milkshakes, chicken tenders were not very crunchy and the fries are pretty good. The seats are sticky (???) for some reason which was a bit off putting

Got the wrong food / missing burger ??

Food was cold on arrival. Delivery driver clearly made many drop before us. Burger did not ship until 40 minutes after order when initial estimate from GBK was 20 minutes to deliver.

The worst experience delivery driver delivered my order to some unknown address and when I enquired about it was told we can only give you back £8. Customer service is extremely poor

Really lovely service and the burger chef is a meat whisperer! I'd drive out of my way to come to this particular location of GBK. Clean, friendly and fast service. My chips were hot. I've never had hot chips before in a restaurant!!! Well done GBK. parking is free on the side road after 7pm.

Great potato fries, salted caramel milkshake. Breaded kimchi chicken burger was delicious.

I'm sorry....but charging people (vegetarians/vegans) £11/£15 for a bean patty is absurd. Ridiculous your going to charge non meat eaters more £ than actual meat. If that is the case go to any grocery store and buy a beyond meat patty and make yourself a vegan/vegetarian burger 100% better than this trash.

i wouldn’t even give a star if i could. the burgers are smaller than my hand and i’m a petite lady. kids burgers are bigger than these. it doesn’t worth for the money i paid for. i won’t recommend it.

The lady who served us was absolutely amazing. In fact, the whole reason I’m writing this review is because of her. She gave us extra blue cheese, just because I said I couldn’t taste it in the burger. She also happily split out one milkshake into two glasses, and in general just had a great positive upbeat attitude. I wish I got her name, but I think she’s Eastern European and works behind the till- she’s fab! The food itself at GBK is okay , I feel that they’re struggling to compete with their competition, I’ve got the Panko fried burger and it just felt a bit oily- I could literally taste oil in every bite, so I couldn’t finish the burger. But the Oreo milkshake was delicious.

GbK CHISWICK HIGH ROAD - The GBK is not how it used to be many Years ago, definetly not worth sitting there for that price. Child's meals were fine. However their jerk thaigh burger b was brought out 5 mins after ordering I did think wow that was fast but then I realized it was pink! I am aware thaigh are pink but this obviously was chewy and needed another 3 or 4 mins. I explained this to the staff member she said she would tell the chef and to be fair did not care just wanted us out, they did not remove from the bill so had to pay for it. Place needs a tidy and broom!

Has the new jerk chicken burger and it was incredible! The tastiest chicken burger I’ve ever eaten. So full of flavours!

The food was alright but very very greasy. I wish they used 1/10 of oil of what they actually use.

Ordered at 19:41, and food delivered at 21:11. I couldn't cancel the order and was told online I would have to pay the full price for it. You couldn't assign a driver so I had to suffer and wait and not even been given the opportunity to cancel. Food arrived and it was cold and awful. Never ordering from you again.

I had a classic cheese burger with American cheese and all the regular trimmings (£10). Fries is an additional £3.50. The burger was tasty and filling. On the smaller size though.

Food is always on point staff like the food top stuff.

The chips were dried out and cold and was given chilled chicken instead of fried.

Friendliest staff ever! Being new to the neighborhood I found myself here one day where I assisted Shantal dealing with a complaint from a client. She has been so professional that I could not refrain to appreciate her behavior. Since then I’ve been coming back every week just to see her and Yazmine (her colleague) and to feast with the best burgers in Chiswick. Must visit if you’re around!
