Amazing friendly pub, the staff were so welcoming! The perfect stop off for a carvery after a walk in Dartmoor. Really generous portions with lots of trimming and really nice slow cooked meats!

Met friends here on a snowy & blustery January weekday evening. This truly is a traditional British pub! Very cosy and welcoming, with plenty of atmosphere and customers, despite the weather.The lady serving at the bar was super friendly and the drink selection was good. We aren’t local, but everyone was friendly and we enjoyed chatting with a few of the locals. Our dog was warmly welcomed and very popular (thank you for the treats!). Can’t comment on the food offerings, as the kitchen was closed. Overall we left having thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and time relaxing here. Thank you ❤️

We have recently moved to the area and we stumbled across this little gem, it's how pubs used to be. Warm friendly and welcoming. The carverys on Sunday are delicious and brilliant value, everything is fresh and homemade and good generous portions. We have been in the week also and sampled their evening menu and again everything just superb. What makes the pub is the owners, so friendly and kind, nothing too much trouble. We have a dog who doesnt like people, but they have gone out of their way to try and win her over with treats. I would definitely recommend this pub, and I promise you will not be disappointed with the food and welcoming atmosphere. Many thanks Ann Jez and Mabel

We booked as a family of four the meals were very large and very delicious, we even had pudding, the owners were very lovely, very inviting and lovely to talk to we will definatley go again

My friend and I went there for Sunday lunch. We both had a Carvery which was lovely. Friendly staff and easy to find. I look forward to going back again. Highly recommended. Just remember to register your number plate. Thanks everyone at crossways Inn.

We booked as a family of 9 adults, 3kids and 2dogs. The owners couldn’t have been more accommodating. They were absolutely lovely. The carvery was awesome, loads of meat and veg, piping hot. We were so impressed with the food and the service, we have booked again for New Year’s Eve. Looking forward to another lovely meal.

Great, 'local' feeling pub. Good pub grub, fantastic friendly atmosphere, and decent prices. Landlady was great.

Quite a quaint old fashioned pub. Food was excellent and well priced. A warm welcome by the Landlady. Warning, do not think of using their carpark unless you are going into the pub. You need to register your vehicle on the screen inside the pub or you will get a £100 fine (ANPR cameras on site with many warning signs)

Delicious carvery, choice of three meats, seven types of veg, prize winning yorkshire puddings and the roast potatoes were cooked to perfection, the best roast dinner in the area. The staff were friendly and welcoming, I will definitely be going there again soon.

Lovely pub we stopped off for a drink our doggy stretched his legs as we were travelling home to north Devon from Cornwall but the sad thing is I received a parking fine which I was shocked that the owners didn’t mention you pay for parking so please be aware even though I appealed still have to pay very sad as I will never go again and make sure people know this very disappointing has the staff were very nice update on my review the landlady asked me to call her which I did and she very kindly sorted out my fine thank you very much Sharon

My first carvery in absolutely ages and apparently only the third that The Crossways Inn have done. It was absolutely beautiful and cooked to absolute perfection. Very friendly staff and quick service. Well done guys, will definitely be back 😊

What can I say about this pub that is bad, nothing... its such a quint little pub, food in lush, service with a smile, beautiful fireplace, and outside is nice with comfy furniture and a pool table... would Highley recommend!!

We happen to come across this pub and stop for a Sunday carvery, very dated inside, food was good but most of the vegetables were frozen , service was good and reasonably priced but wouldn't go again.

Went for a Sunday carvery. Nice food. Plenty of choice of veg, pots etc. Had room for a pudding. Cheesecake got good reviews. Crumble and custard was good. 1 round of drinks - pint of Guinness and a large pinot. All together £44.00. Very good value! Thank you to all the staff.

Great food, good cider and friendly staff, in a clean well presented environment, not much more you could want from a British pub, I had their chilli which was very good, my wife the lasagne, good portion sizes and very tasty. Thank you the Crossway Inn.

Lovely Roast dinner and homemade desserts. They offer but roast too if you don’t fancy meat. Good coffee and Beer. Lovely friendly staff. Relaxed proper pub great atmosphere. Will visit again. Had a look at the weekly menu. And they offer a great selection. Not a stupidly huge menu but then enough variety to choose from.

Service and food excellent, will be back as often as possible.

We booked a party of 6 people for 20:00 on Friday with various choices from the menu. Very quick service, excellent food (REALLY GOOD fresh hand cut chips). Good range of draught beers and Cider. Friendly atmosphere and hosts.

I play in a skittles team and we had a game there,and it's one place we enjoy to go 2,we have a good laugh and the chicken pie and chips after the game was nice👍

A lovely rural pub with easy access and parking. It's our local with a good selection of gins, good grub and regular events. Also benefits from a nice beer garden.

New chef? The current owners seem to have brought it back to its old reliable standard. Cosy, traditional, no fuss, and helpful staff.

New chef, brilliant roast. Potatoes fluffy in the middle and crispy on the outside, lovely tender beef, juicy pork with crispy cracking, tender succulent chicken. Lovely scampi n chips...not all my food...local pub atmosphere with a lovely fire.

Excellent meal and great value. Really quiet and we sat in the garden with the dogs with real ale straight from the barrel and great food. Food took a long time but was worth the wait, will be back.

Good selection of food and drink. Sadly I have to knock a star off because of the overpriced side dishes and slow service. Saying that, I'd go back.

Lovely friendly pub. Our meals were amazing, sirloin steak cooked perfect, and the lamb steak was delicious. Very generous portions for great prices. Don't judge a book by it's cover- it looks very much like an ordinary local pub from the outside, but the food really was exceptional, I would highly recommend.
