Great customer service in a warm atmosphere

My 1st review of the Cross Keys, was truthful but scathing, we encountered some very unsociable characters, whilst following some freinds in a band, it was embarrassing as I've actually been visiting the pub for 40 yrs, ha Linda 🙏 was just a teenager,, so was very disappointing to have our nite ruined,,, HOWEVER...... NOW IN MORE RECENT TIMES,,, the new landlords and wonderful staff seem to of completely change everything around,,, its now a warm and welcoming place to visit,, great choice of beers,, 👍👍

Great friendly local with a great selection of beers

Great bar with 2 drinking sections and a small outdoor drinking area. All are kept clean and tidy. There's a great atmosphere indoors, as its usually nice and calm. The staff are friendly and polite, they get to you to take your order quickly at busy times. Drinks are reasonably priced with a large selection to choose from, ranging from ales, ciders, a range of spirits and wines . There's a small carpark which is easy to access from the main road.

Lovely and clean since the refurbishment. Staff friendly.... No children after 6pm though, for us that's a minus point.

An excellent pub offering a choice of cask conditioned real ale. At Low prices. There is also a variety of other beers and lagers. A large comfortable pub ideal for watching sports on many TVs several rooms. The pub is also dog friendly and has a large car park and plenty of outside seating. Highly recommended.

You sell the best Iceland ones tea cakes full of fruits keep stocking them

Very nice pub the food is very good it was a good local pub shame there turning it into a unibar which won't last its to far them to travel plus there's already quite a few already so all I can say is its a shame as it will eventually close

It was quiet and nice, but the heaters don't work so rooms are quite cold. The hot water in the bathroom was okay though and you have access to a guest kitchen where you can microwave or make a toast

Customers made us feel really unwelcome,, won't be visiting again anytime soon,, no wonder its going down the pan,, with meat heads like that spoiling what should of been a super nite,, 👎👎

Cracking Sunday roast and delicious steak pie. Good value. Decor dated but its about thr grub

Been twice in 3 days so excited they're open again with same bar staff Linda love that woman, food was delicious both times. Just a bit disappointed 4things let it down on the no new potatoes, one of the chip pans let them down delay with meals, coffee machine was not working and no toilet paper in the ladies other than great night

I ordered fish and chip s paid for a large fish only to get a small one the waitress took it back to change it so I had to wait while the rest of my friends carried on eating when the fish did come back it wasn't cooked properly I should have stuck with the small one

Food was lovely ..... my only complaint it was very cold..... there was no heating on ..and we had two elderly people with us

Well it was my first time visiting the cross keys on friday 15th July for food because it was recommended by friends food was ok apart from the chips still hard not cooked properly but the rest was good . I felt sorry for the new girl who served us it was her 1st night she told us and very polite and nervous she was asking for help from an elderly member of staff who was very intimidating and rude to the poor girl we was told the older woman had been working at cross keys for years . Poor service from her very rude

Good food again all fresh and hot had a meal and sweet great

Amazing food. Amazing staff, deffo be coming back here again and also the restaurant side of the pub is a vibe. So chill and cool in this weather aswell. Also best meat and soda water on my life.

Having problems with management so not much choice on the menu

Went today Thursday for some lunch with the parents, who loved the authentic home cooked food of this pub. Walked in, it was freezing cold no heating on so sat in coats. The menu is now 2 pieces of photo copied paper, no great choice menu of the past. We where told no Fih or meat pies available?... Hang on Cross keys was renowned for its homecooked fish n chips over the past 10 years. So we went for mixed grill only to be told no mixed grill!.. Only Gammon.. Sorry to say we drank up and left. Its a very sad state of affairs what this pub has now turned into. A great local turned to ruin

Food was inedible, luke warm meat and burnt roast potatoes.....everything was bland and the mash potato was definitely powdered. I honestly don't know how they dare serve it!

Eaten here now on a few occasions. The food here is excellent. The steak pie is to die for and had the fish yesterday. Best piece of fish I have had in ages. Not greasey one bit. Hate fish when all wet and sloppy. Not here it was cooked perfect. Def be back again.

Staff got orders wrong for mains and desserts,no service with a smile we felt like we had put the staff out ,and food was burnt😒we normally always come here for occasions but put us off for future

Really enjoyed the food all 10 of us, great fish and chips and mushy peas, and every who had the meat pie said it was superb, would have been 5 stars but it was a bit cold inside no heating on

I was looking for somewhere to stay whilst I was in Hull for 4days working on Diysos. When I phoned Kris's and explained this he told me I could have it for free. The room was clean,tidy ,with suitable storage and a TV. The pub and it's regulars were very hospitable and I would recommend this establishment to everyone.

Staff go out of their way, lovely traditional pub.

It is what it is. It's not a place I would run back to, but I'd be happy to go back for another funeral. Lovely staff and relatively cheap.

Tried two different beers both off spoke to landlord and all he said was other people were drinking it device slow but the place was full.The beers were both real ales from a local brewery which I regularly drink

13 February 9 friends had a fantastic meal nice and hot and all delivered together staff nice and helpful and all at a reasonable price wood definitely recommend this pub p.s. wheel chair assessable well done and THANYOU
