Stopped for a light lunch. A beef cob and beer. Both fresh and excellent There is a car park but you will need to do a sharp turn left from the town.

A nice BCA pub off the high street up a hill thats dog friendly. Just think its in the wrong location with knock on effects. Sad to see only pale, citrus or NZ ales offered so had a cuppa char in a dirty cup and a cob each. Hope new gaffer does a better job.

We had been walking with our dog on kinver edge then popped into the town to see if it had changed much as we hadn't been back there for about 15years spotted the Cross Inn and there were customers out front enjoying the sunshine,we were able to take our dog in and there was a lovely courtyard at the back where we sat we ordered hot pork and apple sandwiches plus cider the sandwiches were delicious and packed full of pork on thick crusty bread ,there was a good atmosphere and the staff were so friendly we will definitely return

We came today after a lovely walk around Kinver edge and the Rock houses. Service was friendly and quick. We had samosa’s which were incredible and warmed for us, pork pie, crisps and drinks. We felt totally welcomed and enjoyed a nice pint of real ale and glass of wine. the dog and children were also welcomed staff spoke to the children and didn’t blink an eye when my daughter accidentally dropped her drink, they replaced and told her not to worry. We will definitely be back thank you 🤩

Great place and atmosphere good beer and cider but what about the wine? We live nearby and would love to visit the Cross regularly but Jack Rabbit wines are seriously unacceptable. Perhaps we could bring our own wine and pay corkage if the brewery can't be bothered? A lot of neighbours would also frequent the Cross regularly but the wine is an issue. Is this women being discriminated against?

An ok experience. What really spoilt our guest experience was the Barman. Never said hello, goodbye, thank you… nothing. He didn’t even smile and quite unwelcoming. Pig ignorant!! His vocation certainly isn’t working in hospitality. He wore a t shirt with cut off arms exposing his wet hairy arm pits whilst his t shirt was soaking in sweat. Quite repulsive!! Won’t be visiting there again until there’s a change of bar staff.

Another one of the Black Country Ales pubs. Tucked back off Kinver high street it was pretty busy on my lunch time visit (after a healthy canal side walk) which gave it a lovely atmosphere. Well-kept beers - the Fireside Ale is my favourite - and decent cheese and onion rolls. Not quite as good as other BCA pubs which usually have larger and crusty cobs, but still good value.
