The Cow Shed in Great Yarmouth

Had a blue cheese and bacon burger and it was gorgeous, people don't expect much from a burger on a seaside town so I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the burger and the quality. The two young ladies who served us on Saturday at 1500 were very polite and professional.

45 minute wait for our order of sandwiches/baps. When we asked how much longer for our order, the response was rude and immature. Would not recommend or ever return. A lesson in manners is definitely needed in this establishment

Got a caramel iced coffee from here earlier it was really nice and the young girl was very friendly and polite would recommend :)

Honestly, the best milkshake I’ve ever had. I love a good milkshake but I’ve never had one as good as here! So recommend going, the staff are so lovely. Will be coming back!

Called in for a snack at lunchtime today. We had burgers and chips.the burgers were so nice, well cooked and juicy. The chips were crispy and hot, Just Perfect. Staff were very accommodating as I forgot to order chips!!! Sonthey rushed the order through. Very good experience 👌

Just shared lunch here and was super impressed. Friendly team and good service. We shared a Cheese Burger and loaded Chips. Halloumi, Chicken and BBQ sauce. It was perfectly cooked, hot and super tasty. The Burger was a really decent sized patty and tasted beautiful. Great Job. Thank you.

Very welcomed by the owner of the cows shed who is a young 20 year old entrepreneur, very polite, very friendly and great service, the girls also enjoyed having a bit of banter with customers. Burgers were very very good and great value for money. 100% worth a visit

We haven't been to Yarmouth for a while as we moved to the city, but I missed the sea so we came to spend the day. As we walked on the promenade we were a bit peckish and decided to have a burger and some chips while enjoying the sunshine. We stopped at The Cow Shed, lovely friendly staff, by far the best burgers and chips we had for a while my partner even said better than most restaurants out there. We will definitely come back when in the area.

Today was the first time we had/visited, we had the cheese burgers and the Hot chocolates! Absolutely amazing! Really nice and tasty! Also it comes with a lovely view of the sea and beech!

Great cafe on the seafront! Baps were £3-4 with bacon, sausage and egg options and absolutely delicious! Friendly staff that helped move tables when a rain shower passed overhead.

Absolutely amazing food at the cow shed, left completely stuffed. My partner had a blue cheese burger and said he's never eaten one that tasted as nice and he's a very fussy eater. Service was on point all served with a smile and happy to answer any questions 5* if I could give more than 5 I would!

Stopped off here for our lunch whilst visiting Great Yarmouth. We were drawn to the beautiful Highland cow on the side of the building. The inside is decorated beautifully, seating available inside and outside. Right on the beach front is such a plus with the amazing view. Our food was amazing, such good quality and wish we could have ate more! Would definitely recommend

Second visit here specifically for milkshakes made with real ice cream as last time was so good. Disappointed to say that the experience at The Cow Shed this time was nowhere near my last visit. Went in to order 2 milkshakes with one of the young ladies (the other one was cooking burgers) and got given ticket number so I took a seat outside to wait. 5 minutes went by and saw the lady who took my order stood there reading something on her mobile phone while having personal conversation with her other colleague (who was still cooking). 10 minutes went by and my milkshakes still weren’t being made so I went up to the till and asked how long is the wait, she then put her phone away and said to the other lady ‘got to go’ and told me she’s now making it. Finally the milkshakes arrived, they both tasted watery and horrible, couldn’t taste any ice cream. We drank a little and bin them in the end. 10 minutes and £10 wasted. Probably won’t go back there again.

Took 45 mins to make our food when we asked how long we got a rude response the food was under cooked when it came I’d hate to see what it’s like when it’s busy to young girls behind the counter have no care in the world and have to customer service skills

Fantastic burger and shake by the beach

Had a lovely lunch. Was restaurant quality burger loaded with blue cheese and crispy onions. My loaded fries were absolutely mega with taco cheese and fried bacon.

i am a regular customer and i will say service and food has improved immensely over the past couple months, the service is delightful and worth every penny. the two young ladies that served me made the experience that much better such a warm environment couldn’t ask for anything else. definitely worth the visit.

This could be a little gold mine. It was quite busy lunch time . Had to wait at least 20 mins for our food. I wouldn't mind that as the burgers were nicely cooked , chips were crispy , but the staff member informed us it would be a 20mins wait for food as we said thats fine..she huffed . Mayb need of help ?

Coffee wasn’t good and overpriced. They open at 10 am and seemed to be in wanting business.

Didn't have any food but the coffee was nice, albeit a little pricy for the size, but if you're on the beach and up for a caffeine fix, then it's spot on. The mural / decor is pretty cool too.

Had a cheese burger with bacon and cheese fries. My wife had a chicken burger. Tell you what it's super tasty food. Great value for money and seat outside were lovely and comfortable. Enjoy the fantastic views and great choice of music. Friendly and helpful staff. Back soon to try the cakes as well next time.

Great location on the sea front, but beware of the seagulls they try to nick your chips lol, staff were very friendly and accommodating.the burgers are fantastic they are thick and juicy and very very tasty this was the first time I've eaten there and I will definitely going back there again. I would fully recommend the Cow Shed to every one I had a great experience there. The ice creams were amazing aswell.

Absolutely appalling don't waste your time coming here. Staff are more interested in gossiping than cooking food, took ages for three portions of chips which were barely warm. Service appalling too, brought out 2 lots of chips waited for 3rd lot then had to go and ask for them. Will not be coming back. Rate this place 0.5 out of 10.

Awful place. Appalling service the staff not really interested in dealing with customers too busy talking unprofessional and when they finally decided to take order it seemed too much effort. We had to wait ages for food, they finally brought out 2 orders and had to wait again for 3rd. In the end had to go inside to get it ourselves. By that time it was cold so goodness knows how long it had been sitting there. The other 2 were barely warm. Do not recommend and will certainly not go there again. Very dissatisfied.

Very over priced burgers & milkshakes. Chips not sufficiently cooked.

Over priced and under cooked. Sticky table. Definitely not worth the money and certainly won’t return. Dogs enjoyed the undercooked chips that we couldn’t eat.

Great little place for coffee and what ever you fancy from the menu, reasonable prices

Disgusted by my visit to this cafe. Extremely overpriced but you could see passed that due to the location. what I cannot look past however is the service and quality of the food and drink. Firstly the cheese on toast! - Or lack of!!! 2 rounds of bread cut in half. 50% of which actually act as cheese on toast. Even then it wasn’t melted properly and quite frankly tasted awful. Then there’s so called bacon fries?? The food came out 1 at a time (4 of us) and so the first was cold by the time the last arrived. No cutlery or serviettes were offered until we had to ask and greeted with a sigh, and there are no bins for the rubbish. We visit Yarmouth regularly as we have 2 young children and this was our first and last visit here.

Burgers took 30 minutes from ordering but were worth the wait. Staff are a bit rough around the edges but friendly.

Best Burger EVER... better than Five Guys... the staff were very friendly and helpful, prices reasonable... it was lovely to sit at an outside table and look at the sea while eating a massive, succulent chilli burger. I've eaten a lot of burgers in my time but this was by FAR the Best. If you are expecting your burger in 2 minutes you might want to stick to McDonald's but if you want an exceptional eating experience then you couldn't do better than a Cow Shed burger...

First time coming here to Great Yarmouth and came into this place, to start off the woman had no interest in us at all and we asked three times to try and get her attention o order and the whole time she was having a conversation with someone else taking no notice of us whatsoever, food came out and was just basically slide across the table didn’t ask if we wanted knives and forks or an sauces, food was lovely but customer service on the other hand was awful.

Awesome tasting burger. Had to wait 20 minutes though and even though I was the only customer there they still forgot the fries. Luckily only waited a couple extra minutes for those. Serving staff not very friendly

Beautiful.position overlooking the beach with all tables outside. Service was slow but they were busy. Apparently the Mexican burger was really good. My cheese toasties.was average, but annoyingly the fries came covered in salt.

We had to wait nearly an hour for our food and when it came the burger was undercooked. We had a slot booked at the Sealife Centre and didn't have time to eat the food. Our complaints fell on deaf ears.

Not quite sure what these bad reviews of the cow shed are all about. Coffee to hot well I like my hot drinks hot. Chunky chips they don't serve chunky chips. Every time I come to great yarmouth I head to the cow shed for a burger I love my food and the burgers are up there. Great location great staff great service . A quirky cafe on the beach just what great yarmouth needed. Its not the ritz . The cow shed carry on the great work .

Ordered 8oz bacon cheeseburger, a cheese & onion toastie and cheesy bacon fries. Everything was well cooked, well presented and really tasty. The burger was especially good, the best I've had in a good while. Service was helpful and friendly. For a beachfront cafe it's good value and well worth a visit but bring a good appetite!

Melted ice cream, rude staff and the milkshake was just warm milk with a dollop of melted ice cream. Please don't bother.
