We visited last year and have been going to this little gem for some time now. Since changing hands a couple of years ago I do feel it's lost its quaintness and touch as a little tea room. The decor has obviously changed with the new owners own taste but some of the touches that made it what it was are no more. Plastic utensil holders on the tables remind me more of a Blackpool cafe and the lovely fresh cool gravel area are no more. It is patio and more modern tables that for me take away from what it was. Tea was 'ok' but I believe the cake was still nice and home made. I wrote this review now as visiting Poole again in July and wanted to see what everyone else thought. It's just my opinion and i am comparing how it used to be. I see lots of people are still enjoying this place...will we visit again this year though...sadly I don't think so x

Only a message board would reveal its whereabouts down a narrow alleyway in a quirky slightly down-at-heel area near Poole Quay. Two ladies were attentive and had clearly run business for some years. Tiny seating area which also led to more seating in adjacent Snug. Subsequently saw favourable reviews after my visit and could not disagree.

Very welcoming family run business with great staff. Dog friendly, spacious, warm ambience and great food, plus many quaint other shops on the complex to visit, free parking, and a favourite treat of mine us a must to gobinto the old curiosity sweet shop. Outside seating also available. Great for those visiting from outside the area.

Amazing tearoom hidden away in Poole Old Town. The 2 ladies that run it are lovely, very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is really nice and the cakes are amazing. My favourite is the Pottery Pannini and most of the cakes!! All at very reasonable prices. If the weather is nice there is a lovely little courtyard area you can sit out in.

We were taken here by friends for morning coffee and cake and found it was a lovely place with a lot of character. The cake was lovely and the coffee and tea were fine. Staff were attentive and we were impressed that it is obviously well liked- you need to book- even for coffee! There are plenty of other attractions in the courtyard as well, if you wish to explore ethnic art products.

Came in today 17/8/22, Walked past many times as it is easily missed.. Two very attentive ladies with very welcoming smiles. Good choice of menu dishes and all food is freshly prepared. We decided to have sandwhiches and a drink. First, forget your previous experience of sandwiches. Sandwiches here are practically a meal on their own . Plenty of filling and a fair amount of choice at a very reasonable price. Had a cup of tea with my sandwich. This arrived in the daintiest cup I have ever used. Back in the day my Nan in Dagenham would have been afraid to give me a cup like that in case I dropped it. A notice on the menu says they would prefer cash when paying your bill but cards are accepted.. It's not the biggest of places but definitely worth a visit, we don't think you would be dissapointed.

Visited with my mum last weekend after a break from visiting Poole for a few years. The business has been taken over by lovely new owners who are extremely welcoming and friendly. It was nice to see the menu had stayed the same with what was on offer. Particularly recommend the warm dorset apple cake with clotted cream! Delicious! We went two days in a row and had a toastie as well as the dorset apple cake the second day. We were pleasantly surprised at how lovely the sandwiches were presented. Very good value for money and hidden little gem down the alley way! There's something very refreshing and relaxing about sitting in the little shady courtyard there. Visit... you won't be disappointed.

Lovely little tearoom, with fantastic service and lovely food. Visited The Courtyard Tearooms with my mum for afternoon tea for her birthday today and can't recommend this lovely little place enough. Great selection of finger sandwiches, beautiful homemade fruit scones served with jam and cream and lovely selection of sweet treats. The staff are so welcoming and friendly too.

This place is amazing. Tucked away off the High Street an amazing experience awaits you. Not ya big brand name coffee shop, but a real genuine independent establishment run by staff who really shine in the way they enjoy their work. You will not be disappointed when you come here!

We popped in for a quick tea and were offered a choice of home made scones - fruity scone and chocolate scone for Easter were both delicious - served on pretty china and with a very warm and friendly welcome. Our dog was allowed in the parlour area - too chilly to sit in the courtyard - and made very welcome too with water and biscuits. Next time we are back in Poole we will definitely visit - wishing the 2 lovely owners much success.

When I was last here the tearooms had just changed hands from its longstanding and excellent owners. Then Covid hot and we all know about that. Now it is open again, having changed hands again, and everything is looking - and tasting- good. Best wishes....

Good option on busy evenings, great pizza and delicious pasta. Good cocktail list. Not the most welcoming of walk-ins later in the evening.
