I eat here regularly with friends as food is generally good. We think Senga is a fantastic member of staff, always has a smile and chats away while doing her work. The younger girls we find to be very rude at times, on more than one occasion they’ve clearly noticed us waiting to be served only to be deliberately ignored. We only come now if Senga is on shift as her customer service is impeccable.

First visit to the cafe and I will not be returning. On first impression the cafe looked nice, well staffed and the cakes on display looked great. On arrival we were told to sit anywhere. After having a read at the menu boards on the wall we decided to go up to the counter to order but we’re told it was table serve and to take a seat. There was only about 4 other tables occupied. And after sitting there for a total of 20 minutes without anyone coming to take an order we walked out. Something I have never done before anywhere. We will not be back.

Had a couple of family lunches here recently. Good coffee, friendly staff and good food. The place is light and airy, has a high roof space and good air ventilation. The tables are well spaced with the staff heeding the current guidelines which helps to make it an enjoyable experience.

I’ve visited here a few times this month and at first the coffee was delicious but lately it has been a bit strong and bitter. My mother always has tea and she says it’s the best cup of tea in Kirkintilloch. Their sticky gingerbread is fantastic and you get a generous slice. We will be back and hopefully the coffee will be back to being really good.

After a few months avoiding this cafe due to dissatisfaction we had lovely soup and sandwich but totally shocked there was no track and trace system in operation we were at a table for two and although there were safety screens up a table of six was set up beside us and man from this table although his back was to me he sat on the bench seat beside me a foot space from me no servers were paying attention and I totally wanted to say something to him in retrospect I should have brought it to the attention of whoever was in charge instead we left not finishing our lunch rather than cause a fuss

We’ve been here several times since it opened and have always enjoyed our food and service but this time was awfully disappointing I usually have an omelette from the breakfast menu which is always lovely I’m afraid I had to send it back so greasy it was horrible and burnt couldn’t even think about trying it I tried soaking it off with a napkin with no success it was more like a crepe only crepes aren’t even that greasy I was offered something else but had no wish to eat anything after that experience,my husband had a roll on sausage how can you go wrong with that ? Well obviously yes ! It was overdone and dry, I have a high sensitivity to caffeine I ordered a decaf coffee it was duly brought just as well I didn’t take a sip the server came back to take it away stating sorry it’s not decaf I’ve given you sorry courtyard but I am definitely hesitant to return

You'd be forgiven for having low expectations of a place in the middle of a shopping centre in Kirkintilloch, but the cakes are very tasty and portion sizes EXTREMELY generous, and the coffee is fresh and tasty. Friendly, efficient and attentive table service and ample space. Try it out.

This evening I took my elderly parents my daughter and grand baby for dinner , I have been going a few weeks in a row with no issues till today, while awaiting table to get cleared my mum tried to signal to a waitress to see if she could clear table she avoided by going round another gentleman so the gentleman tapped her as she passed as he had saw my mother signal to her which she couldn’t have missed her reply to the gentleman was I heard her yes we were aware but you chose to walk past instead of a smile or reassure that your busy someone would get to us however another waitress came over and cleared the table and the young lad wiped it , my daughter ordered our food through the app we got our food mums macaroni needed a reheat and I was given no cutlery none of us had our drinks so I thought I’ll ask for cutlery when they bring our drinks dad was finished his dinner I’m still waiting mum had still to get hers heated so I went up and said to manager John who sent someone with a fork and he brought the drinks saying the girl didn’t bring the drinks cos the people at the table were being abusive to her not only were we shocked to hear this my daughters answer was we ordered through your app all the staff including the female manager was lovely the young boy was lovely and the waitress in the black and white dress was lovely but the tall slim girl in the dark needs to be trained in working with the public to go and lie saying the people at the table were very rude to her calling her a cow is disgusting if that were the case we should have been asked to leave this is the reason we were given to why we didn’t get our drinks !! Not good enough if she felt there was an issue easy solution get someone else to bring them like they did the manager John so dads meal was finished mine was cold and eventually got cutlery then mums had to be heated so what was meant to be a nice wee treat turned into a decision of we will not be back disgusted at the whole situation treated like that let me down terribly not to mention my mum and dad in their mid 80,s belong told that the girl had accused our table of abuse c as my daughter said even if that were the case it’s not right holding back our drinks till we had to go chase them up spoiled our night so all down to the tall slim waitress dressed all in black get people skills and hope she has a better day to treat her customers

Fortunately closed, service is poor, food quality is just a joke. If you’re stopping at the Premier Inn go somewhere else for your food, you will thank me later.

Had a lovely meal, the pate was ok, but the Portuguese prawns were delicious and other guests were impressed with their food.

First time here - attending a funeral purvey. Very nice, pleasant, attentive staff, and the food laid on for the purvey was lovely.
