We sat outside for a quick pint/pakora and had such a chilled afternoon. Lovely staff, really tasty food. So great to have such an awesome Indian restaurant right in our favourite local park. Booked to come back for dinner soon

A welcoming restaurant, good atmosphere, very good service and excellent freshly cooked food. Place has a nice buzz to it, well laid out. Nice staff.

We always order takeaway from here (try the Egyptian tikka its lovely) and not had the opportunity to sit in. I've given 4 stars as the fish pakora was a bit stodgy and not as light as I imagined...this might just be my expectations but I didnt really like it. Butter chicken and chicken tikka were delicious as was the naan. Would recommend.

As an expat returning home to Glasgow for a family vacation, we decided to try this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the staff and owner were amazing. We were a large group, the service was tremendous and the food was simply incredible. Highly recommend it!!!

Best Peshwari Naan bread here and King Prawn Curry was tasty <3 Staff are very friendly, great customer service specially Satti :) The mushroom pakora was a bit dry and needs improvement including the garlic chili naan but overall, the food was lovely and the atmosphere was cozy. Surrounded by nature as well.

My friend took me here on Monday for a birthday treat & what a treat it was we were welcomed at the door by the lovely lynne we were served complimentary poppadoms & dips etc we both ordered mixed pakora then omg mouth watering lamb bhoona the best we have ever had! Then finished off with a lovely surprise sticky toffee pud with ice cream to the chorus of 'happy birthday to you' ! By the excellent waiters..excellent service! This restaurant has the best indian food in the uk. Best fish pakora courtyard tikka with any sauce. Excellent rice. Even the fries and spicy fries. Roti and nan are amazing. Wrapped in foil while delivered to keep warm. Staff are great. Delivery staff great.

Came down from East Kilbride for a takeaway last night for the first time got a new dish from the menu chicken mirch masala very tasty medium to hot curry up there with the best curry’s I’ve ever had flavour from the spices was amazing thanks Mick for the recommendation. My father in law who is a retired Indian chef said his lamb curry was up there with the best lamb so tender was my first time there but definitely be back thanks again Mick.

Love coming to the Courtyard Sat always looks after us and the rest of the staff food absolutely amazing now going to be our regular place every week. The service is amazing and friendly and the food is outstanding always so fresh and I am very fussy with chicken haha! It’s taken me a long time to find an Indian restaurant we have now found the ONE.. but must thank Debbie for introducing us. Amazing place and couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

A very average place , dishes are not “ authentic “ , yes the service was ok, and presented well, over priced for the food they offered ... Much better places to eat in Glasgow and better priced ...

While I appreciate the current situation in regards to the lockdown and making the best of this I feel really disappointed with The Courtyard. Last night I tried for over an hour to get through , my call was put in a queue were I was left on hold for ten minutes only for my call fo be cut off, this happened continuously, it may be better to have the line engaged rather than the customers being charged for being on hold only for the call to be rejected, my wife tried ordering on line which seemed succesful at first only for us to receive a text message five minutes later saying my order had been terminated, I am aware that the restaurant decide who's orders get rejected as I had placed an order weeks ago for pick up only for me to be on my way to the restaurant to pick up and received a text message saying my order had been rejected I mentioned this when I arrived at the restaurant and was told when they are busy they reject orders from names which are not regulars , I accept they are extremely busy at this time but this is very frustrating especially when the restaurant encourages you to order online .

We've so far only managed to have (several) takeaways from here - we can't wait to visit the restaurant! We've tried a variety of dishes - and they've all been exceptionally good - fresh, delicious and great value.The customer service is fantastic too - Lynn is superb - thoroughly recommended and always our first choice for an Indian meal now.

Visited the courtyard Indian restaurant ( food to take out only at the moment) this restaurant has got to be one of the best in Glasgow, excellent food top staff and very good service. Will return again and again.👍😁

Just had a takeaway and I can easily say it's the best I have had in a long time. Very tasty fresh food, Good naan bread. Very happy to recommend and I'll be back.

Excellent birthday celebration. Welcomed on arrival and the attentive service continued throughout. We had starters, main course and coffee from the pre-theatre menu - great value and the food is excellent - all of it. Drinks are not too expensive either.

Gave The Courtyard a try for the first time. Had high hopes as the menu looked really varied and a bit different from the norm. The food arrived lukewarm but this genuinely wasn’t much of an issue as the distance was reasonable. However, the chicken pakora batter tasted old/not fresh/as if it had been cooked hours and hours prior. The other dishes didn’t taste or look very good. Thought Begun Bharta sounded amazing, the description is in the photos. Compare that to the tasteless mush that arrived in the second photo. It was meant to be aubergine but truly there seemed little trace of it, just a mush. The lamb was an oily, salty mess. The mushroom rice was dry also. The photos are what was left after we’d finished/had enough. Almost the entire meal binned and I had a bowl of rice crispies instead

Out with friends for a curry and drinks where everything from the meal through to the service was 5*. The staff made us feel really welcome and we all had a great evening.

Visited again very recently. Food and service cannot be faulted. Plenty space and never pressurised to finish.

Came here for my birthday meal night out with friends. The food was excellent,cooked perfectly, and the staff were amazing aswell, very friendly, very helpful and we had a good laugh with them at the table side. You could tell the genuinely wanted to give you the best service and time in their restaurant and they did just that, we had a great few hours in the restaurant. I would recommend the courtyard to friends, family and colleagues and I'll definitely be back again in the near future! Great food and amazing staff!

The Courtyard isn’t located on a main road, it’s in Rouken Glen Park next to the garden centre, but it’s worth a visit. I’ve been a few times and like the free starter of popadoms and spiced onions, very nice. Each visit I’ve also had a lamb curry, and the meat is melt in the mouth, which must be slow cooked - very good indeed.

Wonderful experience from start to finish in this first class eatery. At last a restaurant with space to breath rather than the claustrophobic atmosphere often found elsewhere. Extensive menu with a very accommodating chef who will if possible tailor to specific preferences before producing exceptional food which tastes even better yah it looks - and it looks amazing. Brilliant staff one and all, thanks Leo, but most of all huge thanks to our fantastic host (the owner) Sat. You have created wonderful dining experience so obviously committed to making you guests feel at home and part of the Courtyard family. A definite for any special occasion, you should find out what I mean - just let them know what you are celebrating. See you soon guys

Having eaten here in the past and enjoyed the food what a different experience we had a few days ago. We arrived at 7pm for a special birthday celebration. We were served the usual poppadoms. Starters served after a little while then we waited and waited for our main course. Eventually it arrived at 9.10pm . The food was just okay but the service was awful. The restaurant was busy and takeaway orders also busy. The treatment we received on our exit from the restaurant was awful. No wonder you were ashamed to come to us and apologise!!! I settled the bill in full rather than cause a scene but I can assure you we will never be back.

Didn't eat in the restaurant, just had a takeaway. The food was excellent and the portions generous,will eat in the restaurant next time.

Travelling from Australia, our family took us to their favourite local restaurant. We were welcomed as soon as we walked through the door. The food was served with out delay and was absolutely amazing. So different and superior to other curry dinners we have had. The staff were attentive and friendly, it was a wonderful experience, I recommend this restaurant without any hesitation. Thank you for such a memorable evening.... Maree

I was part of a group of seven friends getting together for a catch up night. Food was excellent and staff attentive, although some of the younger staff could do with some training. However, once it got to 10pm it was evident that they wanted rid of us. Music was turned up so loud for a minute or so at a time that we couldn’t hear each other and then they started sweeping the floor. One of my friends was sorting out the money and the waiter practically grabbed it out her hand. So from all of us saying that food was great and that we’d come again we all changed our minds and sadly based on this experience will not be returning.

Visited restaurant tonight, food was very good and staff attentive. Main issue was the very loud music which significantly impacted on having a conversation. Did ask for it to be turned down was advised customers at other end restaurant wanted music loud. Thereafter the music was turned up and off intermittently mid song for the remainder of the evening.

Been wanting to try this place now that its opened (think it was a chinese restaurant before this), and friends living locally said it was very good. We arrived very early around 5.10pm? and another 3 couples eating. Seemed very nice with a seated area at the bar then the restaurant tables the other side. Not as grand as I had thought it would be, but nice none the less. Waiter seated us and came with the menus where I asked (as we were early) was there a pre theatre meal or early bird meal. Yes there was and he took away the main menu and brought back two scruffy/torn bits of A4 paper with the early menu from 4pm to 6pm. Good enough menu if just out for quick bite and not making an evening of it. Chose poppadoms/onions and mixed pakora so we could share both. Then I chose lamb bhoona with basmati rice and husband chose a chicken dish (which arrived with a garish pinky sauce), and nan bread which arrived cut into segments which is easier to eat with and it was thin and crispy just how we like it. Bhoona was very good and hubby says chicken dish tasty too but will see how his tummy reacts with the obvious colour through the dish?? Food was good for an Early Bird menu and would definitely go back for that. We intend to go one night also to try the main menu. I would recommend it and would go back. Staff were polite and friendly and the waiter kindly bagged my left over bhoona and nan as could not finish it all.

We booked this restaurant for our annual boys curry night (!4 of us this year), having moved around various Glasgow curry houses for the last ten years. The Courtyard did not disappoint. Great value, generous portions, and fantastic food. None of us had ever been before, but I suspect we will all return. Highly recommend!

truth my wife and i are curryhollics we have eaten everywhere shenaz,shiesh,mother india,ashoka.mr singhs the list is endless this place is up there with the best quality meat properly marinated nice starters (love the orka fingers) good portion sizes well informed and polite staff nice clean restaurant

Wow. Just visited for the first time and was thoroughly impressed with everything. Fantastic friendly efficient staff. Absolutely amazingly fresh Indian food. Veg pakora is fantastic. Ordered uncle Js king prawn curry and desi lamb. Both dishes were wonderful. Best Indian food I have tried in a long time.

We went here having a night off from the kid and were not disappointed. The service was attentive without being overbearing, friendly and efficient. The food itself was terrific, worth every penny and in no way expensive. There aren't lots of beers in tap but still enough to enjoy with dinner as well as bottled beers and the usual spirits and soft drinks. I would highly recommend a visit here and we will definitely be going back.

Satnam and his staff have created what’s possibly the next best Indian restaurant in Scotland. A unique venue and atmosphere, the food is fantastic and it’s my new local favourite. I’ve never found such a creative tasty variety of vegan options at an Indian restaurant either! Will be back non stop

Satnam, of the New Turban Clarkston and Turban Tandoori Giffnock, has certainly created a brilliant restaurant with seemingly an excellent chef creating some of the best Indian food you could ask for.

This is our second visit to the Courtyard in the last month and we have just booked to come back again on Christmas Eve.

Did not have a reservation. Fantastic welcome by the management for me and my wife. Amazing food and portions. Had lamb Jafrezi , meat was so tender and delicious. Much better than Mother India in Glasgow. Will definitely return.

I got a takeaway from here over the weekend and I’m so impressed with this restaurant. The food was amazing and so fresh. The staff were also so welcoming and attentive. The restaurant is lovely, would probably come here to sit in as well. I have tried many Indian restaurants locally, and so glad I have found the courtyard. Will definitely be a returning customer.

Went here for my mums 50th, staff went above and beyond had banners set up for us. Food was also incredible highly recommend, best indian by far. Alex went above and beyond especially to guarantee that we had the best night.

Despite arriving at The Courtyard over half an hour early for our table booking tonight, from the moment we stepped through the doors until we left with full tummies, we were made to feel very welcome and that that nothing was a problem to the team. Service was superb and the food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. We are already looking forward to having the left overs for lunch tomorrow! Well done to Satnam and his team. We will be back for sure!

14 of us went to the Courtyard last night, some for the first time, others have been a few times. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. Considering the restaurant was full, the service was great and staff constantly made sure drinks were topped up. It was my in-laws’ 50th anniversary and the staff provided lots of lovely touches including a gift of Prosecco and beer for the happy couple. We had children in our party and the staff were fantastic with them and so friendly. Can’t wait to go back!

When this place first opened it was lovely. Food had a really unique flavour and you really felt it was being cooked especially for you.

We recently ate at the courtyard after reading the great reviews on trip advisor and hearing locally how lovely it was. It was even better than expected! As foodies, we genuinely thought the food was excellent and my husband, who couldn’t decide what dish he wanted, was asked what he liked in a curry! They listened and came back with the perfect combination specifically made for him. Good value and a warm cosy atmosphere with booths and candlelit tables. Highly recommend .

This restaurant was so highly recommended and had great reviews. I was so disappointed me and my friends went for an evening meal, got ignored by staff, sat for 15 minutes before we got attended to, the drinks came after another 10 minutes just before our order was taken, the food was ok but iv had better in other restaurants in this area. I understand it was a busy evening but the service was appalling. We then explained there was a wait between our meals and the food didn't taste fresh and lacked in flavour. Just so let down, we were then offered free drinks to compensate, I refused then offered free drinks again, as a whole we didn't have a great fine dining experience, service was slow, staff ignorant. I wouldn't return and I wouldn't recommended.

Went to the courtyard after seeing and hearing the reviews on Trip advisor. We were a party of 4, on first impressions it felt more like a cafe than a restaurant. The food was very mediocre at best, I had the chicken Tikka which was very dry and didn't taste fresh, my wife had the South Indian Lamb which was chewy and not that great. The drinks were so over priced, all in all not one that we will be going back to or recommend.

Once again the standard of food and service was second to none. Great location, value, atmosphere and friendly service we will be back again. We have also had take aways from here which were also fantastic

Whilst we were enjoying our food and drinks the staff were hard at work to give us the best customer experience. My wife and baby daughter decided to check out the Courtyard and we were impressed. Starters were fantastic; tempura prawns, grilled vegetables, vegetable pakora to die for!

Our first visit here what a lovely place was very busy too got a booth was made very welcome by the owner food is totally amazing really outstanding best restaurant by far will be back again. Also cocktails here were lovely. Can’t wait to come back again. .

Visited here on a Saturday night at 8pm , 4 couples and we had booked which was just as well because it was full . Very well set out in a lovely setting within the park . Food was excellent and was well matched by the service . Sat on after our meal and had drinks and were never hurried out , first class and a most enjoyable night , would definitely recommend .

Visited with my better half for a birthday meal, we fancy ourselves as curry connoisseurs...this was the best curry we’ve had in Glasgow comfortably. Food was class, service was class. Don’t know his name but the guy on front of house was brilliant, really made you feel welcome and like a special customer. Will definitely be coming back.

We visited on a Friday night at 7.30pm. It was busy when we arrived but quietened as the evening went on (maybe people had been in for the highly rated pre-theatre)

Tucked away in beautiful Rouken Glen Park, this restaurant is a must to visit. We were welcomed by the owner and shown to our table. Straight away we were handed menus and asked if we wanted drinks! The pre theatre menu is good value for money and there is a good choice of dishes. Bombay potatoes and veg pakora were both tasty. The south Indian garlic chilli chicken was also excellent. The drinks waitress was very efficient, asking if we were ok for drinks on a regular basis. This was great as it's a pet hate having to try and grab attention for another drink. After our food, head waiter Mick came over for a chat which was nice. Overall great food and service in a very attractive setting inside and out!!! Highly recommend and we will definitely return to try the main menu!!!

Our first visit to this amazing Restaurant was a bit of a surprise as you don't often get near perfection in Indian cooking...this place is the exception, a wide and varied menu with choices of all the ranges of Indian spices and flavours served by a very knowledgeable and fun loving team of servers. The meal for four was excellent value and I would recommend with no reservations that you give this place a try, you will not be disappointed

Really enjoyed our family gathering here with warm and friendly welcome from everyone and most enjoyable Indian dining experience. This is one to remember and return to. Good beers and great food. All five adults had different meal and no complaints from any, expect around £20 per head and be filled.

Visited 27th September, 2019 for dinner. Restaurant buzzing with great atmosphere! We were greeted instantly and because our table was not quite ready offered complementary drinks at a comfortable seating area beside the bar! Food was first class, served in lovely dishes and tables set with high quality glasses, linen and cutlery.

Went last night with some friends, the foods fantastic and and the staff are all very friendly. The courtyards 1 of the best places to eat in the Southside, will be back again soon!

Great meal tonight delivered by john the friendly delivery driver. Chicken tikka was best I've had. Staff were really friendly and so glad they deliver to barrhead.

Went here today 24/09/19 for a pre theatre. It was recommended to me by a friend. The food is outstanding.

Best Indian I have been to and i have been to many ! Restaurant is comfortable and clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming . The owner/manager tends to your every need and most importantly the food is outstanding !

Brought some visitors from Manchester for dinner, one a vegetarian, one special diet and me. Left it to satnam to choose starters what a selection. I have to recommend the Goan tandoori prawn. These will blow your senses with explosion of flavour. For the main courses chicken biryani, managers special recommended curry and paneer. Excellent choices. The best bit is that there was no wastage what we couldn't finish was packed away to take home to enjoy later. Great attention by staff to detail and seeing that guests are being looked after. Well done this restaurant is going from strength to strength and hasn't even been open for a year and is a local landmark!

This place has the best curry I've had and a great selection of drinks. You get what you pay for here. Hands down love it.

My family and I have eaten at the Courtyard a number of times, and had at least as many takeaways. When choosing to eat out as a family of 5 (which includes 2 teenage boys), this is rarely an inexpensive exercise! As such, we want to choose somewhere which delivers both first class Indian food and a quality experience, as eating out is more than just food. The Courtyard nails both.

We have been to the Courtyard many times before and the experience each time we go just gets better and better.

Hugely impressed with such high quality food and drink available. As a regular customer of a number of Indian restaurants in the southside of Glasgow, I would recommend the Courtyard to anyone.

We have been coming since the restaurant opened. Consistently the welcome is warm, the staff is knowledgeable about the many dishes on the menu, the atmosphere is great and of course the food remains so very tasty. We have tried a variety of dishes for various courses and never been disappointed.

Great food and the staff are attentive. There is great fusion in the meals and nothing is too much for Sat and his team.

I have so many good things to say about this fantastic restaurant that i don't know where to begin.

I absolutely love coming to the Courtyard, the food is outstanding and the staff are lovely and helpful when ordering! Been a few times since its opening and we are planning to go for Christmas day! Would 100% recommend to everyone, you can't go wrong with a night in the Courtyard.

Wow what an amazing restaurant! The menu is so different as is the spicing. I choose from the street food menu and was not disappointed. The staff are so friendly and will offer choices to suit the strength of curry you prefer. There is a lovely warm welcoming atmosphere in this fantastic find. I have now been a few times and will definitely be returning many more!

There is more to a good restaurant than just the food, and in The Courtyard you don't just get to experience delicious freshly cooked Indian cuisine, but you also get the friendliest welcome from Satnam and his wonderful staff. Whether as a romantic night out, or with a group of friends, the atmosphere is second to none, and the food is heaven on a plate

Family meal was superb made welcome as soon as we arrived all staff are fabulous and so welcoming couldn't do enough!Especially with children our baby was so popular with the waiters he loved the attention thanks so much!
