Found this lovely cafe on TripAdvisor whilst traveling from Leicester to Scarborough. It was a short journey off the M62, so the perfect stop off to refuel. As a family of four our 7 & 4 year old enjoyed playing with the toys whilst we waited for food. Food was lovely and kids picnic bag went down a treat. The afternoon teas that came out looked amazing! Very happy with our find.

I have read previous reviews & the common theme is hidden gem, I thoroughly endorse this I've been going to Goole quiet alot yet this is 1st time been here. Very glad I did The Breakfast was superb with proper Lincolnshire Sausages. One of the best Breakfasts I've had, was pretty quiete which considering it was a Monday not too surprising. Will be using this on my next outing to Goole rather than my usual Wetherspoons.

went with the British legion today for our monthly Saturday breakfast. The new addition of the mega breakfast was really nice and was enjoyed by those that had it. Will look forward to our next meeting at the courtyard a real little gem in Goole

I went to visit the Courtyard Kitchen Cafe with some colleagues after ordering a buffet to Eat-in, and what a gem it was! The outside seating area is very accessible and peaceful - almost Asian-inspired, and it was the perfect hidden gem away from the bustling streets as it is surrounded by the old Courtyard Walls itself. The food itself was delicious and hearty - And I am a pescetarian, but they catered to my dietary needs very well. The cakes as well are largely proportioned and Anna's brownie is by far the chocolatiest and gooiest goodness I have ever had! Not to mention how cheap the food costs! Can't wait to pop back for the Afternoon Tea! Definitely, a Must Visit!

Visited this weekend for the Christmas fair and had a lovely time. Lots of stalls with a variety of goods. Had a drink and some cake from the cafe and it was lovely. Great place for the community.

Cafe with home made options; salads, soups, quiche, cakes. Very good value. Friendly staff. Open weekdays. Lots of different groups at the venue.

Nothing really too much in the place, a little disappointing seeing as how much must have been spent to achive little! IMHO not worth a second visit,

Lovely place for a civilised light lunch. The menu is restricted, but locally and ethically sourced. Wide range of vegetarian and gluten-free options and fabulous home-baked cakes are available. Attentive and friendly staff; Polish is spoken if needed! Highly recommended.

Delicious home cooked food served by friendly, helpful staff. The perfect place to sit in peace and relax or catch up with a friend over great coffee accompanied by a plethora of home made cakes or a menu full of reasonably priced light lunches. My wife and I often drop by to this not very well known spot after shopping in Goole and always surprised at how many people have still not discovered it.

I planned a naming ceremony here. I have to say how helpful both Gill and Lesley were. They did all they could to put my ideas into reality. I can't thank them enough for all they did. THANK YOU. if you are thinking of having an event here, do so.

The courtyard is exactly that, being smallish but lovely, amongst other places. What I liked it is was not difficult to find.

Shopping opposite from here at Morrisons decided to have a quick lunch at the Coutrtyard. It was ok,food was hot & plenty of it,I had a cheese & onion toastie, hubby had scrambled eggs on toast, both had a pot of tea, strong & hot just wish they had brought us mugs to drink from as I find tea goes cold so quickly in cups. Hubby said eggs were too dry, been overcooked,my toastie was fine but the edges of the bread were hard,I cut my lip on it in fact.At the end of the day we got what we paid for,Would I go again? ,sorry its a no.

There seems to have been a change of management at The Courtyard and standards have slipped. The new 'garden furniture' seating is cold noisy and uncomfortable. The portions are much smaller and it is not possible to get a dressed salad ( or even any dressing to add !!) The menu is not as varied and the cake choice very poor. This is a shame as it was a good reasonable priced cafe with a nice variation and daily specials using locally sourced food. Now its just a bog standard cafe such a shame.

We stopped in on a Tuesday late afternoon. There was only one table occupied so it was nice and quiet. We both had double scoop cones. There were loads of ice cream flavours to choose from. Yummy.

First visit to this lovely little restaurant to celebrate 🍾 both Mother’s Day and my wife's 60th birthday and we were not disappointed! The setting in the window table with background music and plenty of space was perfect. We ate off the a la carte menu and we both had three courses complimented by a bottle of fizz. Each course was food heaven and the service was exceptional so we will be returning for the Sunday lunch to celebrate my birthday in April. Thank you

I've used the takeaway service several times now since covid and the first couple of times was hit and miss. I was not impressed with the plain rather overpriced hot dog. But I persevered and I have now discovered the beef Piri burger which is delicious, their chips are genuinely the nicest I've ever had! However, the 'home made' desserts were really disappointing. They come in a carton with the manufacturer's name on it. Clearly factory made and frozen, very small portion at £3.80 each I feel completely ripped off!
