Hidden but what a great establishment. The staff are lovely and the vibe is great. Not too loud and can hear each other talk. Would recommend. Not a rush

Me and my friend where looking for a local place for breakfast in Blackburn, I've always found it hard to find a nice breakfast place in Blackburn. This place is a hidden gem. Breakfast was nice good value for money. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. I will be going again.

Just had lunch with my Granddaughter and Great Grandson,excellent home cooked food,I had the cheese pie and it was lovely,my Granddaughter had a children's chicken nuggets and said they were the best,we also ordered the children's fish finger,nice fish,just too much for a very little boy,the only reason anything was left was that we were all full,I only wish I had known about it sooner.Lovely staff,I thought it was a shame there were not a lot of people eating there,I didn't know it was there and found it by chance,I will be going back.

I looked for somewhere different to have lunch (not a fan of American fast food!) and found this lovely gem. It is a well run, clean and value for money cafe. I had homemade cheese and onion pie, chips and mushy peas, my daughter had homemade meat pie. A large jug of gravy was a treat! It is great that the cafe provides apprenticeships for young people who are deaf and we were served by a fantastic young lad with a lovely personality! I would highly recommend the cafe if you get chance when next in Blackburn shopping!

One of the only places I’d give 5 stars too. Great food and the staff are brilliant. If I’d have a guarantee that I wouldn’t put an ounce of fat on my body, I would eat here everyday!! 😁

This place is everything you want for lunch: food, service, value and atmosphere! IT IS WELL DECORATED, not for profit restaurant. There was a large table of us and we all enjoyed our meals. I would defiantly come again. The place looks so expensive!

To celebrate our final day of training, I booked a table for 11 for lunch, based on a word-of-mouth recommendation and after seeing the reviews on Trip Advisor. What a great place! Staff were really helpful, the menu was extremely varied, the food was good and great value! Three of us had homemade cheese and onion pie and loved it. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Great place to do lunch. Menu is varied and great value for money. It's near farmfoods so isn't far to walk. The meal portions are generous. Staff friendly and service efficient. Can't fault the place and would recommend.

found this place by chance, and wow, great value for money, very reasonable, table service. Been back 3 times so far and it doesn't fail to impress, from decaf Tea to healthy options, small menu but still great, with a fab specials board

Definitely get your money's worth. And the prices are so cheap. We've used this service for catering as well and they charge £2.50 per head and such friendly service. Highly recommend.

El pastel de queso El queso es realmente no como la mayoría de puré. El budín de carne rag está llena de macizos. Todo estaba bien caliente, lo cual es raro en estos días. Conseguimos una taza de té cada 2 había bolsas de té en cada taza, así que conseguimos agua extra y tenía mucho té casi un salto.Pagar la cuenta, nos dimos cuenta de que cualquier beneficio de la caridad, que hizo su hizo incluso agradable. Lugar encantador, limpio, visitó el inodoro absolutamente impecable. Bien hecho a todos nos podrá admirar!

We visited for a spot of lunch having spotted The Courthouse in a vegetarian guide (The Courthouse has enough veggie options but isn't a veggie cafe.) It is slightly out of the way of Blackburn town centre, but well worth the walk. This is a pleasant cafe with plenty of decent lunch options for under £5. The staff take your order at your table which is nice as some other places in Blackburn don't. I had nachos with veggie chilli and cheese. There was lots of it and it was tasty. Grear value.

Three of us; myself, hubby and grandson went to the Courthouse for lunch. Lovely meal good value and plenty. Would definitely go again

If you are hungry then I challenge you to a kings breakfast it's massive.this restaurant is run by deaf society and work very hard.

Best breakfast this side of lancashire top quality food at cheap prices. Will definitely be coming again 10/10

I was invited to lunch by family who alrady frequent the cafe often, as they need to go where the wheelchair can fit not only through the front door but comfortably around a table, and this was provided with no fuss. The meals were a bargain price, not too much but enough. Waiting staff all friendly and efficient. would visit again.

Been to the Court house a few times, had Christmas Lunch with friends and there mentally disabled son, had a fabulous lunch, extremely good value and the staff were very kind patieant and accommodating to the disabled neighbour

Beautiful food, lovely staff and exceptional value for money.Atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing and would definitely recommend. The size portions are massive, needless to say you won't be eating for the rest of the day after a visit here

Many people just don't seem to know about this great lunchtime venue.The main course meals are all under £5 and the range and choice on the menu is amazing.the portions are always generous and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. A must if you are visiting Blackburn town centre.

Good food and value for money. Nice decor in the centre of town. Only downside was no baby changing but they do have high chairs. Needs a bit more publicity as it's one of those plans you go to because someone else tells you about otherwise you wouldn't know it was there.

Lived and worked in Blackburn town centre all my life and had no idea this quiet, ambient and fantastic coffee, breakfast and lunchtime eating house was here. Take a look, you won't be disappointed.

I have been to the courthouse a few times, the staff are friendly and obliging, the food is generous, fresh home cooked food at a reasonable price.they have tables and chairs also comfy sofas for a relaxed coffee.its near the college and convenient for meeting friends on lunchbreak.

We both ordered the steak candienne one lunch time and got loads of good quality food for under £5 each. Surprised it wasn't busier but it's out of the way.....For all you ladies visiting Steals/Johnny Monks, give this one a whirl - it's just opposite

AS you walk the atmosphere is wonderful and food are up to its standard and price wise. Enjoy going there when am in the area.

You get generous servings of food despite how much you pay as most meals are under £5. Staff very friendly and some are deaf which was brilliant to see. Nice atmosphere, definitely coming back when I need a big lunch

The food is always lovely and fresh, and got many choices to choose from. It actually served best cappuccinos/lattes as well as hot chocolate with cream! Staff are always helpful and friendly and always do feel at home every time I come. I actually do come few times a week, so that is how good it is!

Well worth a visit. Food is a high standard as with the friendly service. I booked a lunch meeting at their busiest time staff are more than happy to help and always came to ask if their was anything required. Definitely recommend to others to try.

A bit off the beaten track. We found it by accident by coming out of the town centre the wrong way! I'm very pleased we did though. We'll be making many more 'accidental detours now.The staff are very friendly making us feel 'at home' right away. The food was delious and the prices are unbelievable for the quantity and quality.I would definitely recommend a visit.

The cafe is very good, as it sells good honest food and caters for all age groups, the soup of the day and hot roll are very tastyI like the fact that you can have a drink with your meal as well as the normal beverages.I would say this is well worth a visit as the prices are good and the range is nothing fancy and good honest meals

Actually used my gourmet society card to get 50 % off food, though th prices are reasonable. We ordered the kings breakfast, make sure you are hungry cos you get a plate almost the size of a wheel trim, the food was delicious,can recommend 100%.

Yum! The menu is excellent, ranging from jacket spuds, wraps, hot sandwiches, pie, gammon and so forth! I had the cajun chicken wrap which was so big it kept me full all day, full of flavour! Friends had a spud which was very tasty n steak canadian n chips which they loved, all came with a side of fresh salad. Only cost us around £5/£6 each and a BARGAIN!! A table near ours ordered a giant yorkshire pud with sausage and mash and it looked very tasty!!! Lovely attentive staff n lovely food! Will definatly be heading here on a regular basis as they also do takeaway sarnies! Defs worth a try if in town :-)

went there for lunch just before xmas ...we had with us a very fussy vegetarian who managed to find something she like and would eat on the menu...good variety of food for everyone.....excellent service...
