Probably the best brekkie in the area! Excellent quality and brilliant, friendly service. Note that some have given only one star because its not very vegan, which is very shortsighted and very unfair. Another had to wait in a queue for their coffee! - perhaps the fact there is a queue is an indication of its popularity! Still, you can't please ALL the people I guess. I've used on numerous occasions and always been very happy, as have my guests! Keep up the good work!

What an amazing experience! I had an appointment with Braybrooks a vehicle installation specialist around the corner, I thought I'd look around for a local breakfast cafe, found The country Bumpkin, ordered the full English or equivalent item as it was called something else, the food was amazing cooked to perfection, high standard of sausage and bacon. The chef brought the food over he was very polite. Also, the toilet roll in the toilet is on a deers antlers. Highly recommended 👌

Absolutely fantastic food. I've eaten a lot of breakfasts, this is the best in memory. Fresh local produce, perfectly cooked. Great mug of tea too! The parking is plentiful, the surroundings are gorgeous. It's a real hidden gem. It's worth it. Go here. Seriously. Oh the staff are lovely too, it's nice to hear laughter in the workplace. They seem like a fun team

Disappointed to find now shut on a Sunday, regularly visited on Sunday and food always excellent, was always busy, any plans to reopen on Sundays?

Met up with a friend and had an excellent breakfast for lunch. Only open between 10am and 2pm but a super little cafe for drinks, cakes and lunch. Well worth a visit on your walks if in the area.

What a find! I had a sausage and egg bap with chips which was fit for a king! Very friendly people! Will definitely be back!

The cafe is popular with walkers and cyclists. The staff are friendly and the place is located near stables which is great if you love horses x

Discovered this lovely little farm eatery which served delicious, locally sourced food. Our breakfast was yummy and the staff were so friendly. We will be definitely returning!

Superb, had the bumpkin special, delicious, tea served in lovely china pot and cups, only dilemma is next time would i ask for extra bacon rasher with the special, not sure it needs it, guess ill just have to try it again to check.

My Partner and I stopped for for breakfast...! May I say it was the best breakfast I have ever purchased. My Partner who normally complains at any eating establishment, cleared her plate as did I. If you ain't been GO, Food to die for also free range eggs to buy. Definitely going again.

Nice little place, good menu and they sell eggs.

Went for the wild food night, really enioyed it. A six course menu based on wild British food. Highlight for me was the venison tea and cheese and chive scone. Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere. Will come again!

Fabulous breakfast (we had the “vein cleaner”). Decent tea, too (nice and strong). Very reasonable pricing for excellent quality food. Lovely staff. Would definitely visit again.

Been to country bumpkin numerous times over the years always great food service. Not today ordered bacon baps drinks and cake, waited ages the teas and chocolate both just warm waited another 20 minutes for three cold bacon

Absolutely no vegan options or even plant based milk for my coffee. The environment is under so much stress and nothing towards kindness on the menu. At least try, even avocado on toast would be great.

Lovely breakfast, delicious sausages and bacon and the granary bread they use is excellent. A proper strong mug if tea as well.

Excellent breakfast with quality food cooked well. Coffee is ok. Very busy and popular with bikers and cyclists. Inside and outside dining available. On the day we visited it was cold inside.

Tucked away down a country lane. Very nice outside seating or plentiful inside. Order and pay at the counter then take a table number. Food is freshly prepared and brought to you. I've visited several times over a few years and food has always been great. Prices reasonable. Staff pleasant. Recommended.

Well established country cafe next to stables. Closed Monday and Tuesday though.

Been here twice and really like the scones!! Once we got a tea cosy on our teapot, but the second time we did not. We loved the knitted cosy; please bring it back. The salmon and cream cheese sandwich was also delicious.

Was out for a country drive and come across the country Bumpkin Cafe, what a fantastic place, out in the countryside no noise from traffic, seating inside and out, the breakfast was top notch as was the service, if you are out for a walk or a drive I highly recommend popping in you will not be disappointed.

Lovely, bit of a wait for the food but it was freshly cooked and they were so busy holding a baby shower aswell. staff were so friendly.

We always get just what we want: friendly service, nice, basic, country surroundings, breakfast up-until-2pm which does nicely as a lunch. There's a few other items on the menu - omelette etc, and there might have been venison burger but there were none left today. There's footpaths across countryside for short or long pre/post meal walks.

It's been very nice over there. The prices were also reasonable for English prices. We've had a lot of fun! It was party time! Good place to celibrating a birthday party!

I went there just before lunchtime on a Sunday. It was very busy and the staff obviously couldn't cope. So I left before I was even provided with a menu!

Great cycle friendly traditional cafe

Gem of a cafe in the middle of farmland. Attached to a livery and riding school, there is a nice buzz of activity going on. Decent coffee and some delicious scones on offer. Breakfast is highly recommended and will no doubt full the belly. Lovely walks in the area to burn it off afterwards.

Love the olde worlde charm here. The staff are fab u lous, nothing is too much trouble. The Vein Cleaner is just enough after a morning ride on the ponio 🐴🦄🐴
