The Counting House in North East Lincolnshire

Tipped up on an old works night out but didn’t appreciate the state of the place until I walked in a couple of days ago in November. Carpets looked filthy roof was leaking internally and no one in at 19:15 just wonder why. Hopefully it gets investment required and sorts it’s decor out as the street needs places like it.

Good atmosphere but the worst zombie I have ever tasted in my 35years of life. Zombie tasted more of sugar than alcohol staff poured measures very sharpley which were likely not full shorts. I feel this reflected on the super sugary un enjoyable taste

Wasn’t impressed could have been better. Staff no where to be found, starter just warm, good pint though

£38 for 4 cocktails served by rude staff that had no desire to be there . Porn star Martin served with a Prosecco in a plastic disposable miniature cup . If selling cocktails at that price possibly need to make it more of a enjoyable experience

Booked 2 months ago for a master class for a surprise birthday. Upon paying a deposit ( which the bar manager stated would be fine to pay 2 weeks prior to the date ) another manager ( who has recently taken over the company) informed me this date had been double booked and that there was nothing he could do .. terrible organisation/ communication. Had to find somewhere else with not much notice. Tone of voice on the phone also very abrupt and rude! Will be sticking to other bars in cleethorpes from now on

The worst place in Cleethorpes! their drinks are watered down and rude staff!!! and a rude RACIST MANAGER that thinks it is ok to enter the LADIES TOILETS!!!

Chef inspired by Italian roots created fantastic dishes. Take a minute to enjoy the artwork within the restaurant. Great food without being overly pretentious. The small plates were perfect to share or as a lite meal. Tip - prepare to wait 45min for the cowgirl ribeye.

Don’t bother going for a meal it no longer serves food. It is now a drink only venue. Very disappointing when it is shown in the restaurant section.

Visited here for the first time on Saturday and will definitely be returning. We heard they had a great cocktail menu so decided to try it and we wasn't disappointed. The cocktails were out of this world. The bar man was very friendly and knowledgeable and recommended cocktails he thought we would enjoy and they were amazing. I would give more stars if I could.

Restaurant set in an old bank with the original vault and modern stylist decor is what we experienced when we arrived and instantly loved this place. We was shown through to the restaurant and was waited on hand and foot by our waitress. She couldn’t do enough for us. Cocktails are beautiful and cleverly made with traditional and modern twisted (lightbulb was my fav) Now the food!!!!! Wow!!!!!! Wow!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!! Super fresh ingredients. Chefs really know how meat works with different flavours! Everything was freshly made with an exclusive vibe but they have managed to keep that homemade authentic feel to the food! We paid £63 for two starters and mains and that included a cocktail and beer. So this place will not break the bank ;)

We have just had the most amazing bottomless brunch at The Counting House! The pancakes were incredible and the lady looking after us was called Chloe and was absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be back!

We moved to Cleethorpes 2 years ago and it was our first visit to The Counting House yesterday. I wish we’d come earlier. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is lovely as is the decor and our lunch was delicious! Will definitely be returning.

Loud music as we entered but the Restaurant area is set back and comfy. We were there with friends to eat before a concert. The wives both had a unique Caesar salad, "all the right ingredients put together in an odd way" I had the chicken berrito special - it was ok but lacking in spice. My mate had Japanese chicken & noodles, apparently tasty. So average food but the experience was spoiled by the over attentive waitress constantly asking "Is everything alright for you today, anything else i can get you" Trust me if i need anything i will ask ! It happened that often we rushed our food so we could leave ASAP.....Wont return.

Took my two daughters for Sunday lunch today and it was absolutely gorgeous! Nothing was too much trouble for the new Chef whose food was a hit with us. Thank you to you all, can’t wait to come back for food again xx
