Delicious breakfasts. Pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, and breakfast all were gorgeous.

Food is an ok standard but overpriced for the quality on offer

Stopped here for lunch with my hangry partner and initially thought the price was a bit high. However, the food was extremely fresh and there was lots of it and on reflection it was not at all dear. Excellent food and lovely staff. Throuroughly recommend . PS. My hangry partner is no longer hungry or angry. Just stopped filling her face. She approves 100%

A great little stop-off for lunch! The Cottage Kitchen has a really cosy, country feel with a nice selection of homemade options on the menu. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. It’s a bit of a shame that dogs aren’t allowed inside, but luckily the weather was good enough and we were able to sit out the front. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and fancy a relaxed bite to eat.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but i felt I had to on this occasion. Stopped here on the way to Macclesfield. Absolutely lovely food, very friendly staff and great prices. The toilets were very clean and hygienic-even had sanity products in the ladies you could use 😊 highly recommend.

Great cafe for a quick bite or full menu. Good quality food, good service, coffee was hot, food was tasty. Quite busy for Monday lunch so it must be good. Plenty of parking and has a small gift shop. Definitely recommend and worth another visit.

Absolutely pathetic place. There is NO sign that dogs are not allowed, I went to the shop was ready to pay and they Didn’t even allow me to pay and leave???? Zero common sense and zero customer service. Put a sign and learn how to run a business.

Visited for a family brunch. All our meals were excellent and the service was fast and friendly. We took two cakes home and they were lovely as well. Can't wait to visit again

The food here was delicious, I would strongly reccomend the braised beef. The staff were very friendly and prompt in serving us, thank you. We had to sit outside as we had our dog with us, it would have been nice to sit inside as it did get chilly. We took our deserts back with us, really tasty!!!

We went for breakfast 4adults 2 kids. It was excellent, food and service very good.

Called in today on our motorbike ride.. 5 minutes after the half past four finish.. We needed a warm drink inside us, as we were clearly frozen.. They said, they stopped serving food at half past four, that's fine, can we just have a coffee to warm us up.. No.. the secong girl said we've stopped serving.. Amazed, so we just sat there for 10 minutes while they finished up.. I have daughters their age.. I hope their fathers are proud of them, we just needed a warm drink before we set off again, that's why we stopped for a warm and hospitality.. Shame really, looks a lovely place.

What a fantastic place. Have just finished eating here for the first time and am wishing we lived closer! Very friendly staff, great food, reasonable prices. A delicious meal in a peaceful setting. We were very well looked after and the food was superb. Even a coffee and slice of Victoria sponge when alone is blessed by a warm welcome.

Brilliant breakfast. Met up with friends, excellent in every way.

Would have to loved to have tried it, but they didn’t allow dogs inside, despite saying dog friendly on Google. Only dogs allowed outside. A shame to not be able to try it. Parking is good and a nice location.

Food not quite as special as I remembered for the price.

Found this cafe on the way back from a visit to the (very) nearby Peak Wildlife Park, and am so happy we did! The food was really good hearty portions that were very reasonably priced. We had beef lasagne, minced beef and onion pie (a special on the day) and red onion rings. Everyone was very friendly and the little shop within was also stocked with great gift items. Will certainly be back!

Let me tell you one thing - this place is racist. The owner is racist and they say they got no tables to people of colour. It’s got to be shut down as it’s still in the primitive ages.

A lovely spot to stop when travelling cross country, good quality food served with a smile. Much nicer than some soulless fast food chain. Now we know it’s here we will probably plan our journey with this place in mind.

Came in on a very busy Saturday afternoon 1pm, they found a perfect spot for the four of us (two young children). Took about 10 mins for them to take our order which was ok, then the food came out really quickly. Had the soup of the day with chips- best chips I’ve had in years! Family had chips, fish, quiche, everyone very happy. Paid up and price felt good value for the lovely meal we had. Thanks team!

We stayed in the area for a few days and came across this lovely place by chance, always on the look out for a good eatery we returned twice, once for breakfast, and once for lunch. Both meals were delicious, reasonably priced and served by pleasant staff.

Great place to stop for breakfast. I had oat cakes and my wife, a small English. Quality ingredients and excellent service. The small shop also has a fantastic range of specialty foods (chutneys, jams and sauces) and beers. Well worth a visit.

The cooked breakfast was delicious and good expresso.

This really should be 5 star but honestly they are not doing themselves favours hiring young staff that don't care . They attempted to make 2 lattes twice, both sent back and we ended up opting for tea. While the lattes were hot, the coffee tasted like they had reused coffee grounds or not cleaned out the machine properly. The young girl was tapping the used grounds into a bin lightly and not ensuring that it was clean of used grounds. The second attempt was to just add one shot of coffee and add lots of milk, Lol.. The supervisor did sort it out and we did see them cleaning coffee machine out later on. I can't stress enough that hiring trained barristas and serving well made coffee can make and break businesses. They were prompt in sorting out issues and handled the situation well. The food was hot and delicious. My other peeve; Placing a family with 2 toddlers (one mid tantrum, in the table next to us, where every one else there were older couples eating quietly. This was despite having another area to use but they chose to close that part of the cafe off and start cleaning it! It doesn't take much to spoil the atmosphere and they should be more observant about customers space and enjoyment in their cafe.

I was on holiday with my husband and his mum. We stopped at the restaurant for breakfast. We were very happy with the service and the good quality of food. So, I would recommend 👌

So lovely we visited twice. We had breakfast the one day, best hollandaise sauce we've ever had. Then a gorgeous lunch the next day. Fish was fresh, chips chunky. Sweet potato curry was tasty. Great selection of kids meals and dig friendly outside (with some covered seating to shelter from the rain). Nice little play area for kids.

All day breakfast not so all day, having rang to order a takeaway box the staff advised that they had stopped doing the all day breakfast contrary to the menu. Update your website or your staff!

Called a couple of times, whilst on a short break, food is absolutely excellent, breakfast spot on, nice thick bacon, thick tasty Lincolnshire sausages and superb scrambled eggs! Highly recommend a visit!

Don't get me wrong, the food is usually great... I just didn't get any. If busy it can be very slow. Arrived at 09.30 and left at 10.15, as even if breakfast had arrived there would have been no time to eat it. They were still happy to charge £18 for an orange juice, coffee and no breakfast.

We received a voucher as a Christmas present and decided to use it on a High Tea. We booked a time for the tea as the website recommends booking in advance. The whole experience from being greeted by a lovely young lady and being made to feel so welcome right through to paying the bill at the end was lovely. The high tea itself was absolutely delicious, the sandwiches so fresh, the savouries warm with the most delightful pastry and the cakes were lovely. I would definitely recommend this place , it suits all palates and we will most certainly be returning .

A great place to stop for lunch with the opportunity to sit inside or outside weather permitting. There is ample car parking and they offer an extensive menu for food and drinks all of which is beautifully prepared and served at your table. The staff are kind and helpful and the prices are very reasonable for the high standard of food on offer. Oh and there's also a shop for extra delights!

So glad this has reopened after the fire in January. The staff are lovely and the food is great too!

Had a lovely breakfast here this morning with my mum. Food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced for what you get. Lovely atmosphere and staff very friendly and smiley. We'll definitely be back, well worth the drive out.

Really enjoyable lunch. Daily special pod beef and onion pie was rich and very tasty. The daily quiche with side salad also very good. Perfect recovery after hiking about the moors. Prompt service for a well organised team of servers.

My husband and l came here for a high tea for my birthday, it was fabulous, well presented and eve tasty, couldn’t eat it all but took some home. Very good value for the high tea. Very busy, but a good selection on the menu. It was warm enough to eat outside, but would have struggled to get a table if the weather was bad

Good place to go for food, 4 people, 4 mains, 2 desserts, 4 drinks (1 alcohol) £80. Always busy at meal times, it's best to reserve ahead to avoid any disappointment.

We had the Staffordshire Oatcakes with sausage and cheese. Came with a healthy salad the guilt was offset

Turned up without reservation on a busy sunday morning but was able to phrase the farm shop ahead of being seated. Great service and wonderful food, was a tough choice from a great looking menu.
