Lovely cafe with a range of brunch and lunch options. Visited a couple of times now for brunch and cake, both delicious!

What a fantastic place. Have just finished eating here for the first time and am wishing we lived closer! Very friendly staff, great food, reasonable prices. It is how the service industry used to be! It feels like someone who runs the place actually values creating a good experience for customers. Very rare these days. Credit to them all. Thank you. 🙏💜

A delicious meal in a peaceful setting. We were very well looked after and the food was superb. Even a coffee and slice of Victoria sponge when alone is blessed by a warm welcome.

Brilliant breakfast. Met up with friends, excellent in every way.

Would have to loved to have tried it, but they didn’t allow dogs inside, despite saying dog friendly on Google. Only dogs allowed outside. A shame to not be able to try it. Parking is good and a nice location.

Food not quite as special as I remembered for the price.

Found this cafe on the way back from a visit to the (very) nearby Peak Wildlife Park, and am so happy we did! The food was really good hearty portions that were very reasonably priced. We had beef lasagne, minced beef and onion pie (a special on the day) and red onion rings. Everyone was very friendly and the little shop within was also stocked with great gift items. Will certainly be back!

Let me tell you one thing - this place is racist. The owner is racist and they say they got no tables to people of colour. It’s got to be shut down as it’s still in the primitive ages.

A lovely spot to stop when travelling cross country, good quality food served with a smile. Much nicer than some soulless fast food chain. Now we know it’s here we will probably plan our journey with this place in mind.

Best place I've ever been in lovely food highly recommend.

Came in on a very busy Saturday afternoon 1pm, they found a perfect spot for the four of us (two young children). Took about 10 mins for them to take our order which was ok, then the food came out really quickly. Had the soup of the day with chips- best chips I’ve had in years! Family had chips, fish, quiche, everyone very happy. Paid up and price felt good value for the lovely meal we had. Thanks team!

Great place to stop for breakfast. I had oat cakes and my wife, a small English. Quality ingredients and excellent service. The small shop also has a fantastic range of specialty foods (chutneys, jams and sauces) and beers. Well worth a visit.

We stayed in the area for a few days and came across this lovely place by chance, always on the look out for a good eatery we returned twice, once for breakfast, and once for lunch. Both meals were delicious, reasonably priced and served by pleasant staff.

The cooked breakfast was delicious and good expresso.

This really should be 5 star but honestly they are not doing themselves favours hiring young staff that don't care . They attempted to make 2 lattes twice, both sent back and we ended up opting for tea. While the lattes were hot, the coffee tasted like they had reused coffee grounds or not cleaned out the machine properly. The young girl was tapping the used grounds into a bin lightly and not ensuring that it was clean of used grounds. The second attempt was to just add one shot of coffee and add lots of milk, Lol.. The supervisor did sort it out and we did see them cleaning coffee machine out later on. I can't stress enough that hiring trained barristas and serving well made coffee can make and break businesses. They were prompt in sorting out issues and handled the situation well. The food was hot and delicious. My other peeve; Placing a family with 2 toddlers (one mid tantrum, in the table next to us, where every one else there were older couples eating quietly. This was despite having another area to use but they chose to close that part of the cafe off and start cleaning it! It doesn't take much to spoil the atmosphere and they should be more observant about customers space and enjoyment in their cafe.

I was on holiday with my husband and his mum. We stopped at the restaurant for breakfast. We were very happy with the service and the good quality of food. So, I would recommend 👌

So lovely we visited twice. We had breakfast the one day, best hollandaise sauce we've ever had. Then a gorgeous lunch the next day. Fish was fresh, chips chunky. Sweet potato curry was tasty. Great selection of kids meals and dig friendly outside (with some covered seating to shelter from the rain). Nice little play area for kids.

All day breakfast not so all day, having rang to order a takeaway box the staff advised that they had stopped doing the all day breakfast contrary to the menu. Update your website or your staff!

Called a couple of times, whilst on a short break, food is absolutely excellent, breakfast spot on, nice thick bacon, thick tasty Lincolnshire sausages and superb scrambled eggs! Highly recommend a visit!

Don't get me wrong, the food is usually great... I just didn't get any. If busy it can be very slow. Arrived at 09.30 and left at 10.15, as even if breakfast had arrived there would have been no time to eat it. They were still happy to charge £18 for an orange juice, coffee and no breakfast.

We received a voucher as a Christmas present and decided to use it on a High Tea. We booked a time for the tea as the website recommends booking in advance. The whole experience from being greeted by a lovely young lady and being made to feel so welcome right through to paying the bill at the end was lovely. The high tea itself was absolutely delicious, the sandwiches so fresh, the savouries warm with the most delightful pastry and the cakes were lovely. I would definitely recommend this place , it suits all palates and we will most certainly be returning .

A great place to stop for lunch with the opportunity to sit inside or outside weather permitting. There is ample car parking and they offer an extensive menu for food and drinks all of which is beautifully prepared and served at your table. The staff are kind and helpful and the prices are very reasonable for the high standard of food on offer. Oh and there's also a shop for extra delights!

So glad this has reopened after the fire in January. The staff are lovely and the food is great too!

Had a lovely breakfast here this morning with my mum. Food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced for what you get. Lovely atmosphere and staff very friendly and smiley. We'll definitely be back, well worth the drive out.

Really enjoyable lunch. Daily special pod beef and onion pie was rich and very tasty. The daily quiche with side salad also very good. Perfect recovery after hiking about the moors. Prompt service for a well organised team of servers.

My husband and l came here for a high tea for my birthday, it was fabulous, well presented and eve tasty, couldn’t eat it all but took some home. Very good value for the high tea. I would thoroughly recommend it, cleanliness, lovely helpful staff, and above all good choices and good prices. Well done to you all

Very busy, but a good selection on the menu. It was warm enough to eat outside, but would have struggled to get a table if the weather was bad

Good place to go for food, 4 people, 4 mains, 2 desserts, 4 drinks (1 alcohol) £80. Always busy at meal times, it's best to reserve ahead to avoid any disappointment.

We had the Staffordshire Oatcakes with sausage and cheese. Came with a healthy salad the guilt was offset

Turned up without reservation on a busy sunday morning but was able to phrase the farm shop ahead of being seated. Great service and wonderful food, was a tough choice from a great looking menu.

My first time here. Absolutely amazing place! Food was spot on and service top of the top! I was with my friend and our little ones which obviously made some mess 😉 lady helped us cleaning and nothing was too much trouble for them! Thank you a lot and see you soon!

Tasty soup, bread, butter and tea. Staff very friendly. Just dropped in and were impressed.

We had some sandwiches from here the other day to go and they were really good. I had the ham and cheese and it actually had thick (real ham) which was very good! (some cafes have the super thin deli ham, this has real thick cut ham). Our chips were stale, which wasn't great, but the sandwiches were very good. It is a bit pricier than some other places, but the quality was good and we would definitely eat here again.

I was very pleased with my meal in this bright and friendly cafe . Food was tasty and the coffee was hot , the lemon cheesecake could have had a little more zing but was still delicious and I would like to see more vegan and vegetarian options. I do find eating out poor value generally but here the portion was good and well presented . Well done to the team .I live in nearby Leek.

A really enjoyable place to visit any time of the day. We stayed nearby just for a couple of days and had breakfast here twice and lunch and it was just faultless. We came from London and the prices were comparable to the south, food is high quality and of the perfect portion sizes. Coffee very good. I didn't buy anything from the shop but they had a vast range of excellent jams, chutneys and sauces available. The presentation and cleanliness is exceptional, including the toilets, and the staff really bring everything together. Very friendly and attentive, we even returned from a walk in the Peak District at 4:10pm and they still happily welcomed us in and served us food despite closing at 4:30pm! This would be unheard of in many kitchens so close to closing, so big appreciation to you guys. We would definitely visit again if staying nearby or driving through on another occasion :) Thank you!

We went today for Birthday celebration lunch,as usual we were given a warm welcome, exceptional choice of high quality food, exceptional staff and the added bonus which was sheer genius was the wonderful desert of warm chocolate cake and Cauldron Custard (mint)mmmm in our opinion was one of the best deserts ever 😋

Cracking spot. We were staying just down the road in the Colourmill Cottage and decided to pop in for breakfast. There is a very large car park and plenty of seats inside. We had Eggs Benedict, Eggs and avo. The kids had pancakes. The service was excellent, and we were not waiting long. Food was spot on and the coffee was good ☕ There is a small shop selling local produce and gifts. Great spot we will be back.

This has become a must-visit stop when we head south. It's a convenient hour away for us and makes a good breakfast meaning we don't have to.

Called in today on out way to Alton towers waterpark got our son’s birthday. Ordered American pancakes, came out so hard they snapped when I tried to cut them. I asked to swap them for a small breakfast, half an hour later no breakfast, had to cancel the order as it made us late, lady on the till was so rude, had such a bad attitude, said when I sent the pancakes back I went to the back of the line, she was very confrontational and didn’t seem at all sorry. Very disappointing! My son also had pancakes, not sure what recipe they were using but they looked nothing like pancakes!
