Nice pub with some good music on.Sadly Loserpool won while we were in the pub but it's not the pubs fault the Nazis of the premiership won.. until society takes a stand against that menace we are all at risk. Plus good prices for the drinks.

A nice little pub in Barnsley town centre. Good service and atmosphere with DJ. Drink prices are very good. Two bottles of Old Mout Cider for £7.

Getting served here is dreadful, I started to notice week after week that two members of staff spent more time standing outside smoking than serving people on a Saturday night that is. Dj seems ok. However, I think numbers have fallen due to a few members of staff slacking. Therefore, we now avoid this place.

A very busy pub, a bit wild west, but it always has been, Could have done with another member of staff behind the bar, one young man wasn't enough, but to be honest he was coping very well with the pressure he was clearly under. (Pat on the back)

Great place, good service. Great mix of music and customers. Clean toilets. Could smell lovely food but didn't order anything.

they have taken Coors off to be able to rip the locals off with bottles of budwiser at £4.80. Peroni at £5.. most of the staff work hard one or two disappear now and then for a smoke out side while punters que for drinks. i made a note that locals who use the pub daily get preferential serving, Que Jumping i would call it. i brought my concerns up with who i believe could be the manager and received childish comments via Facebook. who ever this is needs replacing and get someone in that as people skills, i suppose they get what they pay for. Pubs in town are very competitive and the people are no fools numbers will fall tills will decline.

Just left the corner pin bar maid wanted to close at 10pm after Barnsley match rang last orders bell at 10-43 and took our drinks when we went to toilet and even though we went to toilet her response was that the manager told her to do this , with working in the licensing trade this is out of order and totally wrong , craft union need to respond to this not the manager .

Enjoyed afternoon in pin with family. Bar staff were brilliant. The karaoke was amazing.

This must be the crazyiest, friendliest, wierdoist pub in Barnsley. Absolutely rammed on a Wednesday lunchtime/afternoon with some of the greatest noises you will ever hear on the Karaoke. Brilliant place, price of John Smiths is not bad too, got to be one of the best value pubs in the area. If you want to go in for a quiet drink then this place is not for you because total friendly strangers will come up to you and have a conversation with you whether you want to or not. :-)

Out of date old pub. Nothing to write home about. Not one for the younger generation, ok if you like the oldies.Drinks average and staff rude.

Love this place. 😀 fantastic entertainment, DJ plays all the great dance and sing along music. Plenty of seating, small dance floor and an enclosed outdoor area. Management and staff always friendly but sometimes gets a little too busy for the amount of staff but they cope really well and get through it. Fantastic atmosphere everytime, if you like good music and a good atmosphere this is the place to be..

The service is absolutely disgusting they do an offer free for the price of two drinks I only wanted 2 drinks not 3 I've got kicked out. Could not understand why, so if you're going with your other half, it is not a place to go to, staff are very rude,

Old fashioned and out of date decor. OK for older generation and quiet night. Same old. Drinks OK. Tood bland. Average menu and entertainment.

At last they got rid of the female dj for a better one, however the new year's eve DJ was better he spoke clear and built up a great atmosphere. The male toilets smell bad and are dirty. Some nights there isn't enough staff serving. I have also witnessed a few bar staff bypassing who should be next to serve regular punters. Other than that it's a busy fun day on Wednesday with a kareoke. Again maybe get a DJ that is going to belt out a few notes to create a better experience.

They do a cracking deal on Irn Bru WKD so I just had to go in.

Very rude DJ female who wouldn’t take requests and said she couldn’t play songs that she thought may offend others (is that some kind of joke) even the hen party were disgusted with her - then there’s the heavy handed door staff who thought it was ok to knock a drink out of my hand and swear at me when I questioned them,tried to talk to someone in charge about it but no one wanted to claim that special honour,avoid the corner pin Barnsley

Ok but very quiet for a saturday night. Barnsley not a very good night out

My view went down hill last night,usually have a fantastic night and drinks are reasonable but £9.10 for 2 single vodkas & diet coke which tasted disgusting..Asked to have them changed as only had a sip tasted like tonic or soda water not a sign of vodka.Had to leave them n won't be spending nearly £10 again on the worst drink in town..Dont think everyone is drunk outta there minds by over charging on lousy drinks. Check your mixers in future would have been an easy fix.

To meet the regulars in the pin on a Friday night is really a excellent experience My favourite night by miles

A wonderful place with wonderful people, a place where you can find music for everyone's taste. All the people are friendly and come to dance, drink and have fun, I have been and will go every time with the same pleasure for a dance party, karaoke, or just to play a game of pool with friends. A place with a pretty good variety of drinks and with perfect prices for every pocket, with a garden where you can enjoy your drink and smoke even if it rains. I highly recommend The Corner Pin if you want to have fun, make new friends or just get rid of the stress from long day at work.

WELL, when i no longer want to stay in my so called home, its merely a inn. Its a home from home, to be around a lot of wonderful characters who are often criticized for all the wrong reasons, by folk with no good reasons. Those thinking their better, referring to it as the zoo? Paint a in correct picture of the place. Give everyone a chance, take a more intelligent glance, the corner pin is a good place to be. Afterall, you may actually meet folk, who will astound and surprise you. You will realise you are not all you pretain yourself to be. Its a down to earth area with plenty of humour. Review all the outakes or footage, its banging!!! When everyone's enjoying being with one another. Great staff, best management. If your right with them, they will work a miracle for you x The corner pin will amaze you if you just get over yourself. Enjoy the time you spend there. Have fun and i guarantee you a laugh. But i wont laugh at those around me, we laugh together, pleny of banter!! Love a laugh, like most in the pin!! Come have a laugh, do not come to criticize etc. Enjoy your life, in this 5star place. 1st time in town for a night out in a while. This place as never changed, good service and always busy

Good beer, friendly staff. Drinks menu for everyone from beer to cocktails and prices aren't to bad. Will visit again, maybe the next time they have live music 👍

Been going here some years now amazing pub with amazing owners and staff. Pool table and a new dartboard setup great choice of beer too including carling and staropramen. Highly recommended.

The Managers here couldn't do enough for me and my party, Great staff, Great music, and drinks prices spot on too, will be returning soon.

Great place for an afternoon drink or an evening out with friends, reasonably priced and friendly bar staff. Nice outdoor beer garden too with separate booths for non smokers. Great weekend atmosphere too.

We don't go out much, but when we do we always visit the Corner Pin. Incredible atmosphere and staff always go above and beyond. Management are second to none. Fantastic establishment.

The staff need basic training in all aspects of the Service Industry. The “management” need training in how to manage within the Service Industry without actuating a vindictive approach. Poor basic bar skills, no understanding of customer service and an embarrassment to Craft Union standards. This review discounts the allowance of transient staff. Poor customer focus.

The guy who is head of security is jacked up on steroids he has a very short fuse and is known to beat up women

Cheap pint, and okay for a call in for a pre match drink. Some of the clientele are characters to say the least. Staff need to monitor the condition of the gents toilets on a more regular basis.
