The Corner Coffee House in Barking and Dagenham

My colleague and I enjoyed a lovely meal, a large section of cakes, the main issue is trying to decide which homemade cake to choose.

After a long drive from Cambridge to Northampton and then to Romford we came across this place on tripadvisor for a much needed stop. Exactly what we needed. Crisp hot paninis, home made cakes all washed down with fresh coffee. Lovely food, really friendly. Will try to contrive to stop there again - forget the chains - have something fresh, original and home cooked. Thank you

Lovely little cafe in the middle of Dagenham off Green Lane. It seems to be run by volunteers maybe for a charity. Coffee is good and reasonably priced- they also do cakes and sandwiches. They also sell some other handcrafted items- baby clothes, book marks and earrings to mention a few. Staff are pleasant although sometimes a little disorganised!

Hizo una visita hoy con mi hermana. Preciosa casa de café, un café muy agradable ambiente. Tan bueno como cualquier Costa si no mejor y más personal. ¿Por qué no debería tener una buena tienda de dagenham café como éste? Sin duda vendrán aquí sobre una base regular ahora sé que hay aquí.

Fuimos el sábado por la mañana/tarde y disfrutamos tanto el lugar y la comida y bebida. Tenía un jamón italiano y mozzarella, cappuccino y chocolate panini tiffin. Todo era delicioso. Mi esposa tenía la misma panini, pastel de limón llovizna y una taza de té y disfrutamos cada bocado. Los precios son increíblemente razonable como todos los anteriores llegaron a alrededor de 10 libras y el personal eran la personificación de la amable. Sin duda volveremos.

Charming cafe and staff. Lower mark as no kitchen so limited food options. Slightly weak coffee. Small paninis.

My favourite place in Goodmayes. Quite small though but very friendly! Great coffee, snacks and food. Parking on the High Road is metered so park off it and walk round. Enjoy!

I was really pleased when this opened as Dagenham is overdue a decent coffee shop. It looks good if you appreciate shabby chic styling. It was a while before I managed a visit because the opening hours don't fit with my lifestyle but when I did visit I was underwhelmed. I chose a piece of cake but was told it was reserved for someone else, which struck me as quite rude. Having chosen an alternative from the very limited options, I sat down with my friends and the cakes were quickly served. Unfortunately, there was a prolonged delay in serving drinks, by which time we'd all finished our cakes. A very disappointing experience.

This is my favourite place to come for coffee. There's nowhere else quite like it locally, staff are friendly and remember your name, plus you can pick up a local craft item if you need a gift too!

This is my regular place to relax and enjoy great coffee. The food is really good value and customers and staff are very happy to chat. Great atmosphere.

A real treasure. Brings the village feeling to a busy street. Very friendly staff and excellent value for your money. Love the decor and home made goods for sale.:)

The Corner Coffee House is unique. It is cosy and bright, so being in their shop is a treat allready. The staff are so amazing. They take the time to chat with you, and they always make sure you are fully satisfied with your order. Their hot drinks are fantastic. Makes me doubt what gets put in the coffee of chain coffee houses. And the cakes... They are heavenly. My favourite is the Oreo cake. Lighter than air, just the right kind of sweet. Yum! But also, Victoria sponge, lemon drizzle, jamaican cake, brownies... This place, I don't need to pass by it to stop there, I will get out of my house and walk there just for the purpose of the experience. It is well worth it. Come on and visit them, you are in for a treat at a very affordable price 😀

The Corner Coffee House is great value for money and its warm atmosphere makes you want to go back for more coffee and panini! It's probably the only café I can find these days that offers great welcoming customer service x

I have had a caramel latte a few times now and it has been better than Starbucks and Costa each time. Rich, smooth with a lovely intense espresso kick - love it!!

Lovely little coffee house... Home made cake, amazing coffee and lovely atmosphere. I work around the corner and a whole bunch of people go for lunch frequently- I can't... As I can't resist the cake!! A must see and a must experience...

I come here all the time - great coffee, cakes & lunches. The staff are always so friendly & very accommodating of young kids. This place is one of a kind in this area & with the art on sale too has a very unique edge. I love it & best of all it's really affordable (especially with a loyalty card!)

Well guys if you appreciate the art and craft life style then this is a little treat. The coffee is fresh and hot with a large slice of Jamaica Ginger cake to make my day. Thanks to the staff that made my first visit special. I will definitely visit again.

Great coffee, friendly atmosphere and lovely cake! The staff are attentive and helpful. Good place to meet up with a friend during the day. Display of work by local artisans which can be purchased adds to the ambiance.
