We ordered chicken biryani a couple of days ago which was fantastic 😊. Portion size was enough for 2. Tasty food with plenty of spice

Just ordered here today, must say! I enjoyed it lot! But, The daal was a-bit watery and plain, and the chana curry was a-bit bland. My biggest disappointment was the paneer with spinach, the paneer was melted into the spinach. I thought paneer didn’t melt so I’m not sure what they used, however to my surprise. This was very nice but sickly as cheese would be. The veg korma was verrrry nice. My peshwari naan was burnt but flavours were there. Poppadom was one on its own broken up to look like there was more. To be honest I would be fine without it than having crumbs. Price wise it was worth it and as much as my review sounds down the overall food was nice and flavoursome just small improvements, I would definitely order here again.

Ordered takeaway!! Value for money. Didn’t want to spend too much and was craving for biryani. I would say what can you get in £8 now a days.

Amazing food from Mr Hussain and his family who have been looking after us for many years now. Anwar is kind and genuine and generous and the food is incredible value - most dishes take me two or three sittings to finish 😁 and The Coriander will tailor any dish to suit your needs - more / less spicy, add some spinach or chickpeas, swap the vegetable curry that comes with a biryani for your favourite side dish I love asking for my naan bread to be well done and crispy, and my dansak to be less sweet and hotter. It's like they can read your mind. Fantastic, thanks so much 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Very Nice food value for money good service delivery

I have been a very happy customer of this restaurant in the past. However, today I was very disappointed in the food, which had absolutely no flavour whatsoever, even after adding more salt and pepper. Out of courtesy, I called the restaurant to complain and the guy said that there was nothing he could do about it and just offered a discount for a future order; which is never going to happen. Very disappointed, I hate throwing out food and being hungry.

We ordered chicken kormas, vegetable biryani, naan, sag and Bombay aloo. Everyone said it was among the best curry they'd had. Korma not too sweet, biryani packed with delicious vegetables. Would definitely go again.

My favourite for curry been eating here for nearly 25 years and the food is still as good as the 1st time i ate here

I placed an order via uber eats and specifically asked for it to be as mild as possible. Instead it was so spicy as to be inedible

Did not give any stars as the delivery was 30mins late so the food was not hot or warm, and its not the first time, so will not order again from them, and hope that others don't have the same experiences

1st experience of The Coriander. Ordered via UberEats this Saturday evening. Prompt delivery, good communication, and very tasty and generous portions of food. Highly recommended, I will ordering again from this great place!

Ordered butter chicken which wasn’t butter chicken looked like daal with chicken didn’t taste fresh at all

This is my local Indian takeaway and I use it regularly- I feel sorry that this is my first review when I see the negative reviews :(. I haven’t had a bad experience and the one today was excellent as always!!! I order directly from the restaurant which may help.. huge portions, excellent food, great service, wide selection, honestly can’t fault it. Please note: pics are after we have eaten…..so what is left over, we have lots left over due to massive portions!! Couldn’t wait to get stuck in so couldn’t wait. Pics are. Chicken tikka bhuna, garlic naan, onion Bhaji, mushroom, rice.. Yummy!!

This is my usual local chinese and find the portion size and food great and have no issues with prompt delivery.

Made an order on the phone, they said they was going to call me back once I made the order and they never. I didn't get the food.

Got the Takeaway from the The Coriander is Bangladeshi Restaurant fooling people by selling Indian food with too much unhealthy oil please avoid eating there and kitchen has yellow oil strains which cannot be removed easily

I have ordered takeaway 3 times from this place and twice I have got sick. In my last order, the onions were raw in my Balti Chicken.

Ordered during a busy Friday night, and food was ready within 10 minutes. I collected the food. I ordered two Lamb Seekh Kebabs - delicious! I also ordered Saag Aloo (Spinach with Potatoes). The reason for giving 4 stars is because there was way too much potatato; there should have been more spinach. anyway, the curry was really delicious. I called the manager afterwards to thank him for delicious food To the reviewers who complain about late delivery with Uber Eats, Just Eat or Deliveroo orders - the late delivery is not the fault of the take-away - you should be complaining to the delivery companies and stop giving low ratings to the take-away; it is out of their hands! I've heard stories about these delivery people, and it's not the fault of the catering company

Quite possibly the worst Indian both in food and customer service, if there were 0 stars I’d give that. Ordered butter chicken and chicken korma turned up, when I called to tell them they told me that chicken korma and butter chicken are very similar to which I am completely baffled by as butter chicken is tomato based?! Anyway the manager continued on to say that their butter chicken is a korma sauce but with chicken tikka pieces.. absolutely awful.

It wasn't so tasty... They don't know how to cook keema naam. Vegetables were hard and too much yogurt sause in vegetables korma. Doesn't worth the money. It was my first order to try once but Sorry!!! I'm not ordering again.

The chotpoti they serve tastes no where near a traditional chotpoti. All theirbtheir tastes the same. Never ordering from them again!

Just moved to the area and wanted to try this place as it’s nearby. Possibly one of the best Indian takeaways I’ve had. Every dish was flavoursome. Would highly recommend their special king prawn (golda chingri) and their special lamb (mishti kodu) - honestly the tenderest lamb from a takeaway I’ve eaten.

Ordered via uber eats. Was supposed to take about an hour. Two hours later food turned up and was quite average. When I was calling to find out where food was, no one answered phone. Will never order from here again. Stitch up!

Lamb was incredibly chewy and not high quality, poppadoms soggy enough to bend without snapping, and the tandoori was very dry.

Fantastic Indian Food --- I have been a curry fanatic for the last 35 years, and this takeway has consistently been the best indian food that I have ever had anywhere in the UK. (and I had tried a lots of Indian food out all accross the the whole southern half of the UK) The food is top quality, richly spiced, and perfectly salted. The Chicken Tikka Balti is fantastic - not too hot, but very spicey and rich, the Tandoori Chicken is nicely charred, and spiced and salted, the Bombay Aloo is lovely and spicey, and is so good I could happily eat it as a main dish. The Chicken Madras is fantastic, the Chicken Dhansak is fantastic as well, and so is the Chicken Patia, (which clearly has tamarind and jaggery in it, just as it should do, (instead of lemon juice and sugar and too many chopped tomatoes like many other places do it), The Rajpoot Zool is amazing too (but quite a hot one), And every other dish I have ever tried from here has been great too. Nothing comes close to the Coriander for my personal tastes. And I hope you give try it and enjoy it just as much as I do.

We ordered a lamb jalfrezi and madras (both with Lemon rice) from The Coriander last night using UberEats. It was really delicious and probably the best takeaway curry we’ve had. I would highly recommend their food! The food also came in sustainable packaging - NOT PLASTIC 🙌🏻

Top Class family run Indian / Bangladeshi takeaway in South Croydon CR2. Food is always fresh, consistent and piping hot... Guy on the telephone is mega polite and always remembers your order too... Delivery guys are friendly and always spend a few minutes asking about your life and holidays... Reasonably priced, good quality, well established (+15 years!) and local! 10/10

Always order from here when I'm in the area, pleasant staff, very welcoming as soon as you walk though the door. There is a good variety of dishes on the menu and priced very reasonably. Food is cooked to order and fresh and always hot when collected or delivered. Food is always tasty and can always taste the fresh herbs. Very good quality food, never had a bad meal from there. Keep up the good work guys and will see you soon when I'm next in the area again 👍🏽

I have ordered from a handful of favourite Indian takeaways over the years but Coriander is a diamond in the rough! Every dish ordered was hot and fresh and the chicken and lamb both tender. I will definitely be ordering from Coriander in future when I want a fabulous curry!! Best Indian food I’ve had on London. So delicious! Generous portion sizes and really good value for money!

Ordered a vegetable curry tonight. Waited ages for it, and it was disgusting! Took it home, the vegetables were hard, the curry (wouldn't even call it a curry) was just basically oil, no flavour at all and then come across a long hair in the curry! This was the first time I have used this place & the last. No wonder it's so cheap. You pay for what you get.

Great local takeaway food. Always delivering the best ingredients and you get free papadom, mint sauce and onion salad. They have a homemade chili sauce which is great with nan or chicken tikka. I love the chicken tikka biryani. Quick to deliver food to your door. Give it try. You won't be disappointed.

I always order take away once a week and love a nice curry meal. I have tried over 50 different asian restaurants.. But Coriander is just miles apart. 1st time we ordered last week and the food was just amazing then yesterday we ordered again. They forgot my coke and saag dhal but as soon as i called them they just apologised and told me that they are sending my missing order.. Thought it would take hours but in less than 10mins i got my coke and food. I highly recommend this restaurant for a nice meal as the food and service is equal to no other restaurant..

Use all the time so was round my sisters got them to order and had a dirty long black hair in my dinner , so rung them up and there reply was, Iv worked here for 14 years and never had a complaint Don't help me Dinner in bin will never use again
