We visited this hidden gem on Monday and will defintely be back for our next indian fix. It hit all the spots with flavor and definately non greasy! We are local and have been to quite a few restaurants and I have to honestly say that the food was really lovely and probably one of the best in the area. The starters were delicious. I would definately recommend the onion bhaji, mixed grill and the prawn puri. The garlic naan was lovely and fluffy. The curries were just the right spice for a madras as. The menu is really diverse with different varieties then the usual norm which is a great thing and hubby found a new favourite dish. The restuarant have signed up to the 'Help to eat out scheme' although they are under a different name on the govt website but to be fair I would have been happy to pay full price and will definately back.We went in the early evening- so parking was free and they also had air conditioning which on a day where 32c outside. We had a lovely relaxed evening. In regards to Covid. Sanitiser was provided and social distance is in place.

Only a handful of restaurants make you feel like you’re family.First time visiting Coriander and I would definitely go back. The personal touch delivered makes it that cut above the rest. They honestly make you feel welcome, cannot do enough for for you and considering there were 15 of us food came out piping hot. Food is of an good standard, my vegetable curry was slightly plain however everything else and everyone enjoyed their food. The staff answer any menu questions and make sure you’re catered for all evening. Parking was very easy and they can cater for larger parties. We will be visiting again because they’re worth it.

I have recently been to a few local Indian restaurants. I must say this is the best I have visited in last few months. Starters of onion bhajis, samosas (veggie) and hara kebab were all excellent. I love an onion bhaji and these were great. Mains had chicken shaslik, vegetable dansak, and a special that was similar to a chicken tikka masala. Had with rice, chapati and naan. All was really good. Service was also really good. Will be visiting again.

Well, this was my first visit with my wife last night Tuesday 4/6/2019. We were both looking forward to the meal. I must say, I have relatives in the restaurant business so know when food and service is bad / poor.Ordered our food Tuesday 'special meal' £11.95 with starter, main, side dish and either naan or rice. When ordering, we asked our waiter what the deal included and he told us from the menu without highlighting the small print which stated extra charges on some dishes.Having tried the food which was very bland and basic. Come to pay the bill and the restaurant then adds on extra charges for dishes that had extra charges on the menu but not pointed out to us when we ordered. Also, they added another surcharge of £2.00 for 'Takeway' for our left overs. Well that just beats it by any imagination. Asked and queries this charge and was told that they charge for doggy bags!!!Well that was the end of it and will definitely not be going there again EVER. They call themselves an Indian Restaurant, far from it. They are a Bengali restaurant and the restaurant needs to be clearer in its pricing and costings. To not then have complaints after visit such as ours.Would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Thought we would try a different Indian from our local in Southgate. What a load of rubbish! Rubbish service and basic food sums this place up nicely. Korma was more like a soup and naan bread was dripping with oil whilst drinks were warm and soft drinks as flat as a pancake. Poor atmosphere and aging deco just put the icing on the curry. For a curry restaurant that decorates their plates nicely, has a different twist and flavour to your average restaurant this is definitely a good option and one to visit. The food is tasty, has a good selection on the menu to choose from, however nothing to much to choose from dessert wise, but all is fairly priced. However I do believe they use large bottled fizzy drinks and the drinks have arrived with the fizz being lost, they should use cold cans or small glass bottles kept in the fridge. The waiters are polite enough however they don't really go that extra mile to give the restaurant that little something you may feel its lacking. Overall a good restaurant and we will be returning.

It was a big order so you would expect good srevice for such a large bill. The madras was far to mild and not great tasting, the vindaloo wasnt a vindaloo, the sagaloo was ......well....just loo. The restaurant was quiet, but that could have been down to the time I ate (close to opening time). Because of that it would be unfair to comment on the atmosphere or capability of the serving staff. I haven't been on a Saturday evening before and the place was very busy. In fairness, for a first visit we didn't know the menu and chose something fairly 'ordinary' from the card which was easy to compare with other places. Can't really complain - it was alright on the night and we will go back in due course.Oh, and finally, the prices were very fair for North London.

The meal, the service and the ambiance are all excellent.I make no apologies for reviewing this restaurant as a "regular," having eaten here for three years and experienced a consistently high standard of service and quality.I can compare the restaurant with most of the other Indian restaurants in Cockfosters, Southgate and Enfield, and just keep coming back to the Coriander! The seating is comfortable and there is plenty of room for privacy, but with a good buzz when the place is packed on a Friday or weekend. The management and staff are unfailingly polite, attentive and friendly, without being intrusive. The papadoms and pickles are fresh and arrive quickly, as does the wine or beer (try the reasonably priced chilled prosecco). I prefer a medium hot chicken tikka curry dish, and can recommend the Dupiaza, Jalfrezi or Rogon. A special treat is the Chicken 65 which is uniquely spiced dish I have only encountered here. The Pilau rice and Peshawari Nann bread complete a full meal, with a side or two for the larger appetites! There are many desserts or ice creams as you would expect, but I prefer to take a coffee to finish. The hot towels are provided, as are the chocolate mints with the bill, and a complimentary liqueur to follow.I have never been disappointed with my meal here, and look forward to my next visit!

A party of eight of us dined here on a Saturday night. The restaurant was not over busy. Our orders were taken efficiently and our drinks were served quite quickly. Our starters took a very long time to arrive but were all served at the same time. They were very good and the menu has some dishes that I have not seen before. We then had a reasonable wait until our main course was served. Six meals arrived with accompanying sundries and vegetables. After a reasonable wait we asked about the two missing meals to be told that they were on the way. After further enquiries one of the missing meals arrived. Eventually the last one came with an explanation that it had to be cooked again as the first one had come off the skewers in the tandoori oven. The rice that was to accompany this dish had by then become cold and was changed without question reasonably quickly. All the food was very good and tasty. The final let down was teas and coffees. Six hot drinks were ordered and they arrived in dribs and drabs over at least a five minute period. One diner had asked for hot milk. His coffee was served but the milk did not arrive until the coffee had become cold. The remainder of the drinks were then served with their milk at the same time and the cold coffee was changed. We were told that the restaurant had been busy with takeaway which is what caused the delays. We were not charged for the teas or coffees.

We were recommended to visit here after speaking to the management team of Temple in Ware, Herts. Sadly, this restaurant does not even compare. At the time of arrival we were the only twopeople in the restaurant. It took a while to bring one coke and one lemonade over. I like to try new dishes, however the waiter did not inspire me with suggestions and was quick to get back to talking to his collegue. We ordered Chicken Puri and Paneer Shashlik to start. The portions were much less than we have experienced , and the flavours just were not there. Rather than having a tandoor taste, the paneer cubes were soft and covered in a sauce. The mains arrived and I sent my rice back to be microwaved, the mushroom rice appeared quite greasy, my boyfriend had chicken tikka, again the portions were smaller than expected. During our meal a large party arrived and they were sat on the table less than 2ft from us. If they know the reservation was due, why were we sat next to them? This seem slightly thoughtless and spoilt the evening as we couldnt speak due to the noise from The adjacent table. It was clear the party were previous visitors to the restaurant, as we ended up waiting 20mins before plates were cleared, by which point we decided we would not stay for desserts or drinks. We would prefer to travel the extra distance to have been quality food and service from Ware.
