Friendly, very clean little cafe. Very accommodating to dietary needs. Tasty food cooked to order and specials on too. I had the leek soup and sandwich, husband had the breakfast and both great. Interesting decor with a music theme. Neil, the owner was really helpful. Our first visit to Leigh and we will be back!

Have been here several times now and have always been pleased with everything about it. The food is basic but well cooked and of good quality. The staff are friendly and very helpful and accommodating. The place is very clean and does not smell of cooking. The prices are very reasonable. They offer 2 dairy free milk alternatives and also a dairy free spread, so useful if you have problems with or choose not to have dairy. Had perfect poached eggs on toast. Toast I may add made from proper, hand cut bread. I favour tea, which is a good tasty brew and my daughter has enjoyed their very delicious coffee. My son assured me that the grilled bacon was a lovely flavour and well cooked. I will be going in at some point to sample one of their very many, delicious looking, homemade cakes. This is going to be a regular haunt from now on.

This independently owned coffee shop is well worth a visit,a little gem ....Neil,the owner works incredibly hard to create a great atmosphere, with 60's artefacts including music...lovely food and very reasonably priced.

Visited for lunch and was highly impressed with the place. I'm very particular with where and what I eat but I had no complaints whatsoever with this place. It is spotless, nicely decorated, has pleasant staff and most importantly the food was excellent with lots of choice and all reasonably priced.

Visited today for a late lunch. I moved away from the area over a year ago, and had a chance to visit today. Neil the owner freshly prepared a lovely ham and cheese toastie which was delicious. Had a nice chat with him and then tried his banoffee sponge cake which was superb. If you are in Leigh it is well worth a visit. The individual decor is such a pleasant change from that of the big chains.

After visiting the wonderful Turnpike Gallery in Leigh, and meeting a friend from Berlin, we wanted to find a good place locally for a coffee and snack. Most other cafes seemed to be closed or were serving processed food. Eventually we came across the Coffee Stop. Distinctive 60s design, clean, fresh food, good coffee, very reasonable prices, friendly staff. It's a credit to Leigh, and we were very pleased to have stumbled across it. Apparently they have Thursday evening music sessions. Highly recommended.

I stop by for a takeaway coffee whenever I'm passing, it's real coffee, a world away from the blandness of Starbucks or Costa. Last week I stayed and had breakfast. Eggs Benedict, which had beautiful soft poached eggs and ham. The decor and vibe of the place are completely different to any other coffee house I've been in. The menu is fresh and reasonably priced and the owner makes a mean flat white. I love this place and I hope it goes from strength to strength.

Neil and the team are always good at serving my favourite skinny salted caramel latte and My partners 8 year old would recommend the cheese & ham omelette and milkshakes . We love Coffee Stop at Railway Road. The coffee is extremely good and Neil makes the best cortado I have tasted. The menu is not extensive or fancy but everything is freshly cooked, delicious and very reasonably priced. There is a 1960's music theme to the decor and a real community vibe to this friendly local cafe. The live music night we attended last week (folk rock singer Virginia Kettle) was an excellent evening at £10 per ticket including buffet supper (bring your own wine / beer). We need more places like this in Leigh.

Very disappointed with level of service today. Waiting to be served, loads of staff about, couple sat down after us on next table got served right away, we were ignored. Waved for attention, got acknowledged but still ended up waiting even longer. Ended up walking out after long wait. Can't comment on food today as didn't manage to get any. Regular customer until today. Won't be using again.
