A great coffee shop with a fabulous selection of cakes and homemade jams inside the village shop. We enjoyed our elevenses on the picnic benches outside. The gentleman who served us was very friendly and his wife makes the cakes. ‘Ann’s’ jam was wonderful we enjoyed it every morning of our holiday!

A hidden gem of a cafe situated within the small post office and village shop. Wonderful cakes and bakes , friendly service. Also has a book exchange where you can take in a book and swap for another

Found this little coffee shop purely by accident and very pleased we did. They offer everything from sandwiches (fresh and toasted), paninis, soup and freshly baked cakes. We stopped for a break, having tea and cake. Very clean and welcoming, and would certainly return if we are in the area.

I needed somewhere to get some work done and have a breakfast roll, and the staff were really welcoming. Food was great quality and had decent Wi-fi and hot drinks, so I ended up staying for lunch too. Was good to see they cater for kids and families too, a great find. The boss was even in on his day off and said hello.

We love our local deli and are so lucky that it's in our street! Delicious sandwiches, salads, soup and cakes. We always recommend to our guests when they are looking for a packed lunch or picnic. Really friendly folk with Roddy at the helm.

Recomiendo.

Very impressed. Jenny and partner who run it are very sociable. Both very knowledgeable about everything on the island and were keen to talk me through what there was to see and do on Rum and all aspects of living there. The shop also operates as a community hub and is a great place to meet and hang out with whichever islanders happen to be there. Everyone without exception was very friendly and welcoming. You can get a tea or coffee there. Jenny didn't have any soup on but kindly said I could buy a tin and she'd heat it in the microwave. The shop itself is really well stocked. Wish I'd known just how well stocked and I would have saved myself the weight and capacity of bringing things from the mainland. Things I bought included a box of grapes, crisps, a tin of sweetcorn, soup and roll, a coffee, a laminated OS map of Rum, a pie, ground coffee, an Our Wullie gift box and tablet. Things that were available included eggs, cheese, milk, fresh fruit and veg, bread, all manner of tinned goodies, pasta, rice, soft drinks, alcohol. The shop also operates as a post office some of the time. Perhaps best to get in touch if you're not sure whether they will stock something. Definitely the place to head to when you land and to meet some really kind and interesting people as well as stock up.
