Excellent pizza friendly efficient service and very reasonably priced. Will definitely return. Definitely great value.

Tinned soup, burnt bread, pricing would be acceptable if the food was good but it was far from it. Received one burnt piece of toast with tinned soup. Avoid at all costs.

Nice coffee but Trading Standards would have a laugh at your Full Fry description.2 Potato Bread does not constitute half a potato bread cut into 2 small triangles.2 Soda Bread mustn’t much bigger.Taking the p!!s slightly!

food tasted rotten, cabbage was definitely cross contaminated with onions, barely any chicken on the chicken wrap. ordered TWO chicken burgers and they were both 1/4 pounders with cheese?? only thing good there were the canned drinks which surprisingly weren't rotten. DO NOT order from here

This is a lovely place with good atmosphere The staff are lovely The foods pleasing to the eye and taste There's lovely gifts to buy, if you wanted.

Visited for1st time recently over a weekend. First appearances cafe looks nice. Ordered a latte and carrot cake, had to return carrot cake as it was stale. Exchange for a piece of cake and it was stale also. The issue is they are not covering their “bakes”, instead they prefer to “show off” their bakes in an open container!!! This is bakery 1-0-1. Baked goods required sealed container to prevent them from going stale. Apart from that a nice venue, couldn’t see a wifi code and no distinguishable wifi located Don’t think would return as there are better coffee shops on the prom!

Excellent breakfast for second day in a row. Friendly staff , great atmosphere Really worth a visit. We will call again.

Called in for 2 takeaway coffees and a pastry. They didn’t seem particularly busy and there were 4 or 5 behind the counter. Once the order was taken we were complete ignored for the next 20 minutes that it took for the coffees to come. No eye contact, no ‘sorry, it will be with you shortly’ etc. Other people came up from tables that were also waiting a long time. Coffee was ok, though they didn’t put in any milk and I had to ask and wait again….

Went for breakfast now that the summer is over. Felt very unwelcome by staff except for one very young waitress who did smile and brought us out the milk we asked for after one other just ignored us. . Breakfast plunked on table by a person who appeared out of the kitchen possibly the cook. No conversation from her not even hello or is there anything we can get you or even a basic enjoy! Nope slammed down plates and walked away. Don’t dare ask for anything if you might have an allergy you get stared at and again the feeling you’re an inconvenience Won’t be back here in a hurry Possibly the most unwelcome place I’ve been in a long time

Have visited on numerous occasions prior to the most recent visit. Party of 2. We both were for ordering the brioche French toast. Advised no brioche bread left. (This was after 12pm on a Friday afternoon). Very strange as you would think they would have adequate stock/food supplies in, especially during the “holiday period” and so close to the weekend. To our dismay, we both order the pancake “stack” with maple syrup and bacon. What arrived at our table was an insult to say the least. (I will add a photo for reference) The pancakes were completely burnt around the edges. Extremely thin. Almost shriveled up. Only 2 pancakes each per serving. In regards to the menu, this should not be advertised as “stack” when that’s clearly not what is to be recieved. When this was brought to the server at the tills attention she commented by saying she didn’t think that was enough pancakes either. Though it took us, as customers having to go out of our way and ask for another pancake each. This was taken down to us. Safe to say we will be in no hurry back.

Lovely cafe , staff very unfriendly . Ordered three breakfasts for family and drinks and a croissant for myself . Croissant plonked unto plate ! No offer of jam or heating it. Coffee came almost immediately and was cold before meals arrived . Very disappointed in service . Shall not be back On the menu ( below fry) it states !!! Apologies no change can be made!! WHY OH WHY ? How difficult is it to change a sausage for bacon or vice versa ??? When everything is so expensive I just do not get it ?? I think owners of Coffee shops/restaurants need to start thinking of their customers .

Lovely personable service. Delicious scones- the best around. A beautiful setting- great views, clean and welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.

First of all I would like to commend the young girl who served us as she remained professional and pleasant in what became an awkward situation. I normally don’t return food when I’m not totally satisfied but sadly I felt I had no choice this time. Very disappointed to say the least. The Coffee Hut for breakfast is one of our musts when we go to the North Coast. This was our first visit this year and firstly we noticed the menu was different. Usually I got Eggs Benedict but that wasn’t on offer anymore so we all got Fry’s. I also got a scone and it was lovely. The coffees and hot chocolate were great too. When I said I don’t eat beans and to just leave them off I was told I couldn’t do that as the kitchen said the orders come as is. She said they come on the side in a bowl. I couldn’t understand why they’d waste them when they could just leave them off completely. Very strange waste of food. When the fry’s arrived they looked very under done. The sausage especially was pale and had a look of being microwaved or boiled. Usually when the skin rolls back it certainly gives the look of this. The Soda looked very underdone. Slightly cooked around the ends but the rest looked like it hadn’t touched oil. I was extremely dissatisfied so returned my meal and my wife did too. A lady then came out of the kitchen to speak with us. Not sure if she was the cook or the manager. She was very unprofessional and defensive. She assured us the food was fried and I said it looks microwaved. She then said I could come and see this kitchen and see there isn’t even a microwave in it. I declined. Then she said the only thing that’s microwaved is the beans (after saying there isn’t a microwave in the kitchen). When she left she then came back with my wife’s plate and abruptly set it down and said I’m not accepting that this isn’t fried so I’m not refunding it. I said its clearly under done and the soda only looks slightly toasted. She lifted the soda and yelled “this is fried” and threw it back on the plate. I then asked if were expected to eat it after she’s put her hands on it and she kept yelling as she walked away. Thankfully we received a refund for the food. They didn’t refund the drinks or scone but I am fine with that as they were nice. I would have still returned in the future to The Coffee Hut for coffee but after the manner in which I was spoken to sadly it’s off our list for visits when in the North Coast again. My previous review of this place was top marks so something has changed drastically since then. Hopefully they can get back to how it was previously.

I am never one for leaving a bad review but I feel I must comment. Ordered sandwiches and coffee to takeaway. Both came with less than fresh bread and no butter/margarine. The ‘ham salad’ sandwich contained just ham and a HUGE amount of rocket. We actually ended up feeding them to the birds. Very disappointed.

My friends recommend this place for pizza so we thought we would try it out over the Easter holidays. The food was even better than expected. I had the Hawaiian pizza… soo good. It’s good but size. One would do two people. The spots of chips are very good too. We will defiantly be back to get more. Lovely treat at the port. Staff very friendly as well. We used the app to order which was really handy to, meant we just had to go collect.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, shocking management and the way they treat their staff. Horrible manipulative staff, barking orders at others, treating them like their slaves as too lazy to do it themselves. Need training not only in coffee making but in people skills generally as have no personalities, no manners and just downright rude! I really don't know who they think they are, a two bit coffee shop in the dog toilet that is portstewart.

Ordered coffee and came in a timely fashion, but the staff clearly need barista training as coffee was burnt. Was also witnessed to a young girl being pushed about whilst other members stood chatting she looked like 16/17 abuse is clearly part of the aumbeance in this fine establishment. Being involved with a large hotel in Belfast team work is a must. Life tips would be welcomed in this cafe

Ordered and paid for soup and coffee. I asked if I could have the coffee after my soup. Had finished soup and no sign of coffee so I went to the counter and pleasantly asked if we could have our coffees. We were sitting in full view if the counter staff but were asked for our number (which was sitting on the table) and told the coffees would be with us soon. Sat, waited and watched numerous people who came in after us being served. I had to ask twice more for our coffee. When it still didn’t arrive I asked a waitress could she refund the price of our coffees so we could go elsewhere. She was apologetic and offered to refund the lunch but I said no, just the coffees. Within a few minutes the male barista, who had seen me at the counter both times, sat two takeaway coffees in front of us and walked off. No apology and no refund. Shocking customer service.

After a romantic stroll on Portstewert strand, my wife and I rightfully thought we deserved a hot coffee and a scone. The Coffee Hut Cappuccino was probably the best tasting coffee I have had but it actually the scones that caught our eyes. The Coffee Hut scones are a work of art, absolutely huge and even better to taste. The service was excellent and what really made our visit memorable were the Christmas decorations and interior design. We will definitely return and thoroughly recommend a visit and a stroll on Portstewert Strand.

Hard to beat sitting looking out at the small harbour, while having a great scrambled egg breakfast. Been a few times and always pleasant staff, prompt, efficient service & good food.
