We had a very good breakfast here and also stayed overnight. Everything's fine. We were served an excellent porridge. Thanks so much. Highly recommended.

The taste isn't what I expected.

The barista made a bangin strawberry raspberry milkshake. He took the time to really put in the care and effort. It was the business.

I have been to this cafe before. It is a busy place. It seems they have a regular customer trail which is a good thing. We took advantage of the soup and sandwich deal. You really do get a very good helping. The cafe is quite spacious and it was quieter by the time we left. I like coming here it has real character.

Nice place a few steps from the main street, lovely cake display. Got charged £3.40 for a decaff americano, the display said £2.95 but apparently decaff is dearer! I feel slightly conned and it would stop me returning. Shame as I used to like popping in here.

We returned, as this was our favourite cafe in Aberdeen, still has a great choice of food , cakes and snacks! We thought the coffee is the best we have had in any cafe ,and the apple cake with cream was delicious, staff member is very helpful and friendly, will definitely be on top of our list for coffee etc! Our only comment is , we found it could be warmer

Looked and looked on trip advisor for a suitable cafe for a light lunch. We were a small group with some dietary requirements and this was a perfect choice. It was busy-ish but with some single individuals occupying large tables. The staff very politely asked if someone would move to a smaller table and we were in. Very good home baking, freshly made paninis and sandwiches. Sadly the soup of the day had run out but they were making more which wasn't ready - proving it was actually made there not out of a tin. And - the absolutely best mocha I have ever had. Decently chocolatey, very good coffee, nicely presented. Great food, lovely staff, great location. No hesitation recommending this place.

Went here and was totally disappointed at their lack of allergen knowledge In this day and age . I am lactose intolerant and was given real butter . Won’t be going back . Feel like the staff maybe need more training in the allergen department. This can cause serious harm .

I had the best time here. I went for breakfast and had the jam and butter bagel. Really filled me up and set my day up for a good start. Then I loved it so much I came back for lunch and had the chicken and bacon sandwich. Again was great food and very filling. Everything else on the menu also looked great, the service was fantastic and the vibes in the cafe were so cute. Everyone seemed really happy to be there. I would reccomend this place for everyone whether a couple, families or groups of friends or just by yourself for a coffee. A must see if you're in Aberdeen.

I have visited the place many times but unfortunately after the change of management the place has never been the same. Looks just empty and poor. But thats not the reason for this review. The last visit I was absolutely appalled by the service and behaviour we received from the waiting staff and the manager/owner? We just went for a cup of coffe and a sandwich and didn't expect its gonna take long. After waiting for 20 minutes I've asked the lady what's taking so long and been told that they are busy and short staffed. Ok I understand but the place wasn't even packed and I noticed couple tables who showed up after we did, got served before us. The attitude of the server was also very unpleasant. After that the lady from management (or maybe the owner?) Came to our table being EXTREMELY OBNOXIOUS and basically telling us that we've ONLY waited for the coffe for 20 min so it wasn't that long (??!!) Still they both had time to come to our table to argue instead making the coffe. After expressing my dissatisfaction we've basically been told that if we don't like it we can just leave. At this point we just wanted to get out coffees already. The attitude of both ladies was unacceptable and will definitely not be back in this place . I do not reccomend!

Having visited a few times since my not so great review last year, I really like coming to this place again. Much improved ambience with lovely fairylights now and really good coffee, very tasty proper cakes and interesting light bites. Staff are friendly and it's not a chain. What's not to like!

Filthy, Strange service, lukewarm coffee and annoying set up! Table service but then pay at counter when leaving along with the take away queue. Coffee wasn’t hot The place is absolutely filthy too, dirty floors, counters and toilets.

Opened 15 minutes late, got in, sat down, read menu, waited, went up eventually and was told only soup. Came for breakfast before catching a train so would have been nice to know beforehand as a crucial half hour was wasted! Lovely almond and marmalade cake was had the day before. Would return on a week day.

Tried to got in twice today but the door was closed even though I could see staff inside. What's the point of hanging a sigh with opening hours outside?

went with my daughter's, 7 and 5. Ordered 3 white bread tosties and a can of diet coke. The tosties all came with a handful of crisps and mine had salad leaves and a tiny pot of coleslaw. £25.

Been to the Coffee House several times during recent visits into Aberdeen. Located on a side street off Belmont Street so easy to miss, but only a minute's walk from Union Street. Main positives - never crowded (good for customers, not so good for business!), great selection of cakes and dishes on the menu, friendly and quick service. Food is great - as is the coffee. Much better than the big name coffee chain cafes nearby. Definitely worth trying if you're in the area.

A wee gem of a place, found when weary and left cheery. Fresh food, friendly service no frills but taste thrills. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.

Called in here on our final day and we found the staff very pleasant and the atmosphere very relaxed. Only thing with the cafe latte is it was way too hot and perhaps they need to get some training from the roasters how to combine the milk so the coffee doesn't float round the edges. Otherwise, the soup was delicious with lovely fresh bread.

I am so pleased this place has opened up again! It's like it never left. I really missed it when it was closed and I struggled to find anything else like it. They still do home made cakes, coffees and sandwiches although the menu isn't as extensive as it was. I do hope that the cafe returns to its full potential as the atmosphere was always buzzing but at least it was easy to get a seat.

The cafe had decent food ,the chorizo and cheese panini was very tasty , unfortunately the flat white that came with it was lukewarm , when I told the waitress she took it away but never returned with a replacement so had to go up to the counter to question where my drink had gone. They hadnt organised another one so I cancelled the coffee and just paid for the pannini, they weren't too busy (Sunday lunchtime) so cant see how its easy to miss me , the big lad in the corner of the cafe without a coffee . Poor service knocks a few stars off

After not having been to this cafe for some time, we decided to try it again - in the past it has been my husband’s favourite place for coffee. This time it was just OK. The two young people serving were very welcoming and friendly, but I was concerned that the guy did not have a mask, nor even a face shield, at any time. I understood this still to be a legal requirement in Scotland. The young lady who brought the food was properly masked. We had coffee and scones. The scones here used to be excellent but this time we felt they may well have been made the day before - they weren’t horrible, but they weren’t great either, and they are not especially cheap. So full marks to the female member of staff, half marks to the guy, but not many marks for the food I’m afraid.

I didn't realise this was a dog-friendly venue and that might have made a difference in my decision to eat there. I love dogs but 2 guests left their dogs to their own devices and they even roamed behind counter. I am sure if that had been toddlers comments would have been made. However, the dog owners didn't seem to think their 'babies' did anything wrong and found it funny even encouraging their dogs to beg at their table for food. Sorry I just don't think that is good hygiene. I had a lovely meal.and good value for money but I just don't want to eat where some dog owners don't control there dogs and think it's acceptable to let them wander and beg for food. Been here a few times and will continue to do so. I love this coffee shop. The staff are lovely always and they have the best coffee cake!! I had a lovely lunch today with my friend who also wants to come back. Reading with the cafe's excellent playlist in the back is always great too :)

In the last few months the place has completely changed from being happy cheerful venue. The tables were dirty, floors covered with chewing gums. One of my friends was there recently opened and plugged in her laptop and been approached by the elder woman who seems to be the owner and she slammed and said she had no rights to use her power. It is so incredible how it place has changed for the worst what is unbelievable. I would strongly recommend to avoid the place.

It was the first coffee shop I visited after I went back to Aberdeen, they are making the coffee exactly the way I like, not many coffee shops get the balance well. Cosy space, love the windows seats with lots of cushions, good wifi, had a numerous time there catching up with friends or simply enjoy a rainy afternoon on my own.

Stayed for daughters graduation with family. Rooms were excellent large comfy bed very modern. Location is superb in the moddle of town close to everything thoroughly recommend.

Function room below rooms were hired out all night by other guests who invited non-residents. As a result, we had a disturbed night and were left feeling unsafe. No staff on site, help phone numbers unanswered and no response given to our email outlining our complaint.

Lovely little morning spot. Stopped in for a soy caramel latte and what had to of been the best raisin scone ever. Soft, crispy, fresh and warm, safe to say I’ll be coming back for another.

The coffee house is not the easyist place to find as it is off Belmont Street but it is worth the effort as the do a large range of what i call healthy food and home bakes for the deserning diner.
