Good acoustics, spacious, the bathrooms are always clean, even at massive events, however, the lighting and sounds of drying ourselves may be very invasive. It is worth checking them out for hypersensitive people. On the positive side, the bathrooms, even with long lines, tend to fill up quickly due to the supply. They sell drinks inside. And at most events also ice cream. They have significantly increased the number of cultural offerings and shows on the billboard.

Since the renovation of this beloved arts venue there is no doubt that the place looks great. Unfortunately I feel that the sound and acoustics are not as good as they were which was the best thing about the venue

Absolute shocking bar service, the amount of people who missed half the show last night was ridiculous and then the manager has the audacity to clap and congratulate the bar staff. Other staff on reception were abrupt as well when asking a simple question.

I visited here for the Beluga Lagoon gig and what a fantastic venue. Beautiful looking from the outside it's an absolutely remarkable looking building. However as we queued to enter a few people decided they were not happy with the size of the queue and went to the other side and started a separate smaller queue. Surely a barrier to say queue from one side would be the best thing. Once inside we were really impressed with the acoustics, and the size of the hall. The toilets were well looked after. One issue though was the bar, definitely not enough staff on as queues were massive. A brilliant venue, and with some tweaks could definitely be a 5 star place.

I had the opportunity last night on behalf of Aberdeen North Food Bank to raise funds for a worthy cause. At the same time SQUEEZE was playing and I am a huge fan. So it worked out quite well in that way. The venue is awesome, the staff are very professional and friendly. And the band, well let’s just say it was a blast. Thank you to everyone and for the support!

Used to be one of my favourite venues, but since it was done up a few years ago the acoustics are shocking. Spoken word is echoy and music is difficult to hear clearly. Used to have a lot of charm and character but now feels a bit generic. There are still some pros, though: good selection on the bar, confy seats, friendly staff, and a solid line-up of shows.

Couldn't get tickets for Glasgow so myself and 3 friends came up to Aberdeen to see Champagne for Lulu. We all loved the show Lulu was great, her band and sister were on a par, we also enjoyed Nathan Evans appearance (would've been a good support act). Loved that the stewards allowed people to get up and dance, Lulu was hi 5ing them too. The venue itself is beautiful - we were all impressed, seated in row D in the balcony, great view. Will just say the support act was waaaay too Indie for our taste and leave it at that 😉

Went to the Music Hall for a concert n it was very good. The place itself since being done up is very nice, but I was not impressed with where the toilets are. I have difficulty with stairs and when I found out the toilets were down stairs for people with disabilities I was shocked. I know and used the lift, but the queues were very long and I heard folk complain that there are not enough toilets? There could have been a new disabled toilet put in upstairs?

They need to sort out the "queuing system" for the downstairs toilets. Queuing on stairs with men pushing past to go down because they don't have a queue and everyone coming up once they've been while you wait on a narrow stair is not safe and frankly ridiculous after having spent millions on a refurb but the toilets are down a flight and a half, INCLUDING the accessible toilet- you can take a lift which means you are essentially arriving at the middle of the queue which feels wrong pushing in after everyone has queued and if you don't use the accessible toilet, do you walk back up to get to the end of the queue??! The whole interval is spent in the queue. And if you wish to visit the bar AND the toilet even before the show- you can't. You have to choose one. There is no time. The queues are stupidly long.

We were looking for some Christmas Cocktails and something different for a wee girly Christmas catch up in Aberdeen. We were keen to support somewhere independent and not fall into the usual chain restaurants within the city. Good old google turned up with The Lounge Bar & Kitchen and I’m pleased to say we were not disappointed. We received a very warm welcome. The cocktails hit the spot and went down a treat. We could have had 3 course Christmas menu with tea/coffee tablet and shortbread however we opted for the Scottish Tapas/Small Plates option. There were 3 of us and we shared 8 plates in total. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. We were well and truly stuffed with no room left to try the Sweet options so will have to have a return visit. On our visit a couple of the Vegetarian options were unavailable however as none of us were vegetarian this did not affect us. We’ll definitely be returning in the future.

This cafe used to be good, but not so much now. The food is overpriced for the quality, portions small and service is lacking. I had mexican soup (thin soup flavoured with taco spice mix) and a very cynical Egg mayonnaise panini. There was no mayonnaise just 1 egg smashed up inside panini, could hardly taste the filling. My husband had the fresh fruit shop bought cold pancakes. The fresh fruit consisted of cut up small pieces of kiwi and grapes (which you would never pick to go with pancakes) My Daughter had the shop bought cold pancake tacos (way over hyped) the fresh fruit once again had small pieces of grapes and kiwi, the smores one had a scraping of chocolate sauce and mini marshmallows (not melted) We also had 3 hot drinks, the bill total was over £45 for really poor quality food and service. Not an enjoyable experience and We will not be returning to this cafe.
