This is my favourite cafe! Bev is such a friendly owner and so helpful. The coffee is lovely and there are always new types of cakes. I also love the sandwiches. My toddler loves going here! Very friendly and would highly recommend. Perfect location - 10 mins drive from Peterborough and 15From Stamford, In the beautiful villages of Ailsworth and Castor! It’s lovely to go to a non chain place for a change! Enjoy :)

I was lucky enough to turn up and get a seat, but I would recommend booking as they have had to remove a few tables to keep with covid restrictions. Had quick and friendly service, I can't recommend the warm dressed cheese scone enough! Followed with the tastiest chocolate pumpkin cake which really is worth the calories. There is plenty of seating out on the green opposite, unfortunately with winter on its way it may be a little hit and miss with the weather, but that is the times we are in. I felt very comfortable with how "covid secure" the shop was, with all effort being made towards safety. Highly recommend.

I’m a regular in the Coffee House. I can recommend the bacon and sausage baps (ask for a big one!). All freshly cooked and using high quality ingredients. Never any rush to get you to leave. It’s my little bit of heaven. Oh and the coffee is wonderful. Proper leaf tea in china cups and the cakes are to die for. Possibly my favourite coffee shop of all.

Delicious coffee and cake with my bubble friends. So nice to catch up in this lovely friendly, Covid safe cafe. Coffee is particularly good. Nutty flavours, no bitterness. Social distancing on the pavement outside, screens between tables, outside seating and individual shelter on request for tables on the green if the weather is inclement.

This is usually a real good place for takeout in modern times. However after our last visit opinion has changed. We both like hot chocolate but not with marshmallows (gelatine) as we are vegetarians, Hot chocolate was served with both cream and marshmallows already on; was not asked if I wanted both. When I asked politely if they could be removed, the lady who gave me my drink treated me as if I was less than equal and at a volume others in my vicinity could hear. Drink was remade. Will think twice before returning

Absolutely awful, we travelled 10 miles for a cup of English tea. We were treated rudely at the door by a pompous young man who then served us tea in a paper cup! Didn’t even ask if we would like milk or sugar.. When I politely asked if we could have our tea in a pot with a cup and saucer I was told they are not currently serving, despite the customer to my right blatantly drinking out of a cup with a pot!’ First and last time for this awful place..

I first started visiting the coffee house many years ago whilst passing as a cyclist, upon moving to Ailsworth 3 years ago it became our little local gem, the best coffee (I buy the beans for my own espresso machine, because they are the best I've had) the best cakes you'll find anywhere and a great selection of beautiful teas and occasionally we'll partake in a panini or soup or something for lunch that has never disappointed. We have always had great service from all the staff here, wonderful lovely people with whom a nice friendly chat is always had and the owner likewise when we bump into her on occasion.I am very particular about good coffee and even more so about being around/enjoying good people and for the fact that The Coffee House meets my needs and surpasses them is why this place really is a gem.Thankyou Coffee House and all the staff

After the Christmas and New Year feasting, some the menu wasn't available but there was still a good variety of food, particularly cakes. I revisited this establishment recently after not being for a while as was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease in May 2017, on enquiring they had informed me that they do provide some gluten free cakes so I thought I'd give them a try. I was a bit apprehensive on seeing that the few gluten free choices of cakes they did have were in the same display cabinet with the normal cakes and not even covered up so quite a high risk of cross contamination there, which to us Coeliac sufferers can be quite a problem. Perhaps the management could review their way of displaying gluten free cakes (or savories if they do any), to try and limit any cross contamination in the future? On the other hand they do serve lovely tea and coffee here, limited spaces for seating as only very small so if you plan on going here for a special occasion then I would advise to ring ahead and book a table.

There are a couple of tables outside but this time of year is not really warm (or dry) enough to be sitting outside. Had pot of tea and the warmed cheese & pickle scone which was lovely, hubby had cappuccino and piece of cake. Was very nice, will probably visit again in the warmer months. I would suggest that if you are planning on visiting here for a special occasions that you ring in advance to reserve a table though otherwise you might be disappointed. I have visited in all seasons and have always had the most delicious home-made cakes, soups and snacks. The coffee is excellent and if you order tea it is served in a pretty individual vintage teapot with mismatched china cups and a miniature old fashioned egg timer to ensure you give it time to properly brew. The shabby chic vintage setting gives a cosy character and the staff are great. As its reputation and popularity has spread, the only downside is its size which sometimes means you may not always find a table free.

Milkshakes and cakes are nice, but the sandwiches are overpriced for the place, it's quite ugly from the outside but what they've done with the inside is lovely. Although the fact that it's number 1 in Peterborough doesn't really say a lot when the competition isn't really there. It wouldn't be number 1 in Stamford and judging by the previous reviews reply by the owner, I'm amazed they have any customers other than the locals coming back. How you can speak to someone like that is beyond me!

This coffee shop is at the Ailsworth end of Castor so was quite a long diversion for us from our walk around Ferry Meadows but well worth it. Lovely light lunches, gorgeous cake, and very friendly staff.

The coffee shop never fails to deliver, a lovely oasis to meet friends for a chat and put the world to rights, we managed two visits in one day.

We love this little cafe. The staff are kind and helpful and the food is ace. You pay a little more but it's well worth it.

A wonderful lunch was had by all. Great location, very attentive staff, good selection of food and drinks, also great selection of cakes and slices. Was surprised about the amount of visitors, it is a very popular café. I will def. be going again...perfect for that Saturday/Sunday morning reading the newspaper.

I recently enjoyed lunch here to celebrate with colleagues. The staff were absolutely amazing, even taking the time to take care of a baby in our party so that Mum could enjoy her food. Very quirky, lampshades were made of cups and other pieces of china.

Lovely and cosy coffee shop with is owned by local estate agent. My husband had a sausage bap (which had plenty of filling) and I had a warmed cheese and chive scone with extra cheese and castor ale chutney provided - both excellent. We ordered a pot of tea (loose leaved) and the teapot was enormous so we were able to enjoy plenty of cups of our preferred green tea. It's an interesting concept of being able to have lunch and browse houses that are for sale in the area - we will return soon.

This is the most beautiful bubble tea shop, I've been a few times now and is our favourite bubble tea in Peterborough. I love the style of the shop and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I would h
