Visited the Coffee House for breakfast and had the most bizarre experience. We knew we wanted coffee and a breakfast so when the waitress came to take the order we asked for coffee and a breakfast. The response was ‘sorry I can’t take your food order until I have taken your drink order, when I bring out your drinks, I can take your food order’. When asked why the response was it’s the processes. I explained that to save her coming back twice and to save my drink going cold whilst I wait for my breakfast could she not take the full order. No, it’s process! (but she couldn’t explain why it’s the process). We received our drinks and then encountered a long wait before our food arrived by which point what was left of my coffee was cold. Don’t waste your time and money here, take yourself round the corner to The Terrace where you will get a great breakfast or lunch and the staff are much friendlier.

Never been in here before but is definitely on the list for a return visit. Friendly staff and a large range of delicious food, much of it locally produced. Husband had the bacon, sausage and egg sandwich, I had sausage and caramelised red onion panini - both delicious. Big range of drinks available and a dog friendly seating area outside.

Really shocked by the recent reviews as been here before and always been fine (but not been for a while so thought things might have changed). Anyway, visited on 31st June and had no complaints whatsoever. The young lady that served us was really helpful and pleasant, also coming back to check the drinks and food were ok (which they were). We all got different things off the breakfast menu and everything was really tasty and well presented. The place was full which is clearly a good sign too.

We went for a coffee in Warrington. The staff was VERY RUDE, coffe small and tasted like milk not cappuccino, ambiance terrible and the place was very dirty with pieces of cookies on the table and seats! I have never been in such a dirty and unpleasant cafe! It looked like there were pigs eating before we arrived. It was the worst coffe house I have ever visited. Don't waste your money! Avoid!

No GF Options, Flat White was latte size and the milk was burnt. Atmosphere wasn’t great. Used to be great when it was independent but unfortunately it’s now another below average cafe chain

I suffered a head trauma here last Saturday after part of the ceiling fell on my head. I have had no follow up from them despite leaving my contact details and phoning them myself, only to be put through to Marketing head office. I had to go to A and E at hospital for concussion as the injury was so severe ( felt like being hit by a baseball bat) and have had a blazing headache, palpitations, nausea and brain fog for the last 4 days. The young staff at the time appeared bewildered did not offer first aid or even section off the area when I was there after the incident. I cannot express my disgust at the way I have been treated and the injury I have sustained.

Great food and nice friendly staff. I had the full English breakfast and misuss mushroom toast was lovely. Accommodated all the kids requests too. Definitely would go again if we are in the area again!

This is the third time we have visited The Coffee House, the first time we got nothing and left the second time we got food hooray but no drinks and the third time today we got drinks but no food. Today I have to say was the worst experience unfortunately and we won't go again. We sat outside and waited first for a menu maybe twenty minutes then for our order to be taken maybe twenty minutes at which time i went inside to order as i thought it would be quicker. I was told I wasn't allowed to order food (quite rudely and with a roll of eye there was a delay on food) and could only order drinks which i did. Another half an hour the drinks were bought out and and we asked if we could order food again another roll of the eye and she would be back outside another half an hour nothing so we left. As we walked back through the cafe had it been busy we might have felt differently but there was literally one table with two people on it. We will never return again.

A wonderful atmosphere and delightful staff - friendly and professional. The best coffee in town and the perfect place to enjoy it! Thanks to a great team of staff - I will be back : )

The most and least hygienic restaurants and takeaways in Warrington last month, they scored a 2 out of 5 for hygiene when inspected.

The cafe is bigger than it appears from the outside. The food was very good and I very much enjoyed my smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich. It was what I call a doorstep sandwich. Good quality & great value. We ended up staying longer than planned as it started to rain so sampled the cakes - good selection and tasty. Only downside was 1 toilet and it was well used.

Very poor had to wait an age. I was only having beans on toast the beans looked and toasted like they had been warmed up lots of times mashed together in a thick sauce. This was horrible left all of it.

The staff are so friendly and welcoming as soon as you come in. Service was attentive and quick, one of the best iced lattes I’ve ever had and I’m very fussy. Food was great myself and my husband both had eggs Benedict but he had Ham and I had salmon, poached eggs cooked to perfection, good amount of Hollandaise sauce and the salmon/ham/Parma ham were all locally sourced and very tasty. There are a good amount of choices for breakfast too so you won’t be stuck. We liked it so much we went back the next morning for breakfast again!

Have been here a few times. Visited again today. Sat at table for 10 minutes and not even offered a menu. Left feeling hungry, thirsty and unwanted. Lymm isn’t a friendly place.

Met with some friends who are regulars here. It was my first time but it won’t be the last. Very varied cafe menu, friendly welcoming staff and NO piped music to have to listen to. I like the way in which the tables are well spaced as well so you don’t feel crowded. All in all a lovely lunch and I look forward to a return visit.

I have never had one bad meal here and the drinks are 10/10. The staff are lovely and the overall vibe is amazing. And they allow dogs in which is great !

Called in here for a quick coffee and cake whilst out on a cycle and we were not disappointed. There was a warm welcome great cakes to choose from and quick, friendly service. Just what we wanted THANK YOU. They even have a small outside area which was perfect. Parking up cycles outside the coffee house is not easy but there are bike stands outside Orb at the bottom of the hill, which will be ideal when we cycle out as a small group. We will definitely be back.

The juice is good. The food is yummy . The popcorn is not home made but still mouth watering 👍 it is air condidhend . Yummy go there

We called in here with 3 young children, one of which is gluten free. Although there isn't anything on the menu specifically for him, the server was really thoughtful, and offered fried egg and chips. This went down extremely well with the 5 year old!...

I regularly come here for a tea or hot chocolate. It has become more busy since Sexton's Bakery converted fully to a Delicatessen. Although they do have different portion sizes between there stores eg. A small in Partington is a Large in Lymm. There "facilities"...

I visited today for lunch.It was SO delicious! I had wild mushrooms,cherry tomatoes and spinach with pesto on toast.It was so tasty. Very friendly,helpful staff.I will definitely visit again.

Paid £3.30 for a bacon roll which was prepacked, bread was hard and obviously went in the microwave with it.... Avoid Astronomical prices....poor quality

Good coffees and cakes but toasties and macaroni cheese were pretty dire. Cheese tasted cheap and nasty, minimal onion in cheese and onion toastie which was barely toasted, cheese wasn’t even melted.

Lovely staff felt safe all where wearing masks and where asking customers to put there’s on when walking around cleaning tables as people where leaving and asking to fill in track and trace in manage is helpful and friendly I would say. 10 out of 10 will be definitely going back

Come here literally all the time the food is always really good the are staff are really efficient,Only thing I wanted to mention was that on our last visit we were seated on the table for two right by the door which was fine, that wasn’t the issue but we felt we needed a screen or something due to the amount of people waiting for tables by the door which didn’t disappear throughout our visit. We were eating our food and it just didn’t feel very distanced with covid and especially as masks aren’t mandatory for customers which I understand but we just felt too close to the people, maybe just put that table out of use or put a perplex up, I’m not sure what the solution would be but I just wanted to say how we felt during our meal.Everything else great though!

Visited today,havent been in for while but used to like this place but after seeing lady member of staff no mask getting close to customers and i asked if she needed details for track n trace she said can if u want and shrugged shoulders,and said there was an app and i then realised i had left phone at home but said happy to leave details n she said its ok.you dont have to bother!!! With regard to covid security and social distancing very poor.Too many tables close together. One member of staff had a visor on. I asked why the others were not wearing masks. The snappy reply was we don't have to. No it's not mandatory but when it's such close contact it would be wise.Staff had to be asked to move aside to let us enter in a social distanced way.I asked what the cakes were. She rushed a list. When she asked what we would like we said we hadn't heard her. OK she says and goes.My husband did ask if she had lemon drizzle.When the kitchen doors opened you could see piles of stuff on the floor. Unimpressed.

Called in on Saturday during a walk with family ... All stately measures are in place - the staff have worked so hard to enable safe reopening inside and outside tables . Well worth a visit

I am deeply disappointed with my Oreo milkshake as it is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to milky!!! After being here with all my friends multiple times in the past I expect better. When the manager was here they seemed to be really nice but now they taste like water and milk with no chocolate in my friend had a malteser milkshake and it tasted like water. I am not happy!! Next time we will go to sextons as it will be 10 times better and better value for money

First of all this is a regular place for me. The staff are really friendly and the cakes and kitchen food is good. Although if you are trying to loose weight and you come in after 4pm in any of the outlets there is nothing you can eat that is not high in fat or sugar. You can only really have any of the teas or coffees. Compare this to another local and popular Lymm cafe who although close earlier than The Coffee House. Serve hot healthy food up until they close. Also this building has two levels separated by two steps. At around 3-4pm they shut the upper level so whenever I am able to go in due to work it is shut. I my opinion I would open up the upper level until closing and extend the kitchen hours with healthier options on the counter. For example Pink Almond Sweetheart Smoothie and Oat Pancakes.

Coffee House with an extensive menu of savouries. The Salmon and Scrambled eggs was perfect.The Prawn and Marie Rose sandwich was wow.Good prices for the top quality food.Soft drinks are expensive. There is an accessible toilet but you need to go up 4 steps to reach it.Buses run to Lymm and there are 2 carpark. Free parking for blue badge holders for 3 hours.Lovely place to visit.

Thus gentle serves giid food byt tiny tables, draughty as door constantly open. These issues could be resolved and should be. I don't want to spend my hard earned struggling on a tiny table and really cold dining area.

We walked about 4 miles into Lymm and called in for a cup of tea and a sandwich. We had to queue for a bit to get in, we'd arrived just on lunchtime, but didn't have to wait long before we were shown to a table. The service was very friendly and efficient and the sandwich excellent. There are a lot of options on the menu and the pastries all looked great too. Will definitely go back and it will become a regular on walks around the area,

Run by local lads, everything in here is about Lymm and it’s surroundings. It’s central, the atmospherw is great and the coffee second to none. There’s food too which is ideal for a snack or a little bit more, but the cakes will definitely make the visit worthwhile so get in early or you miss out. Staff are great and any of the owners are more than approachable and open to comments. Also try the range of teas and their ‘alternative’ ways of coffee brewing for a change. Out-of-towners? This is the place for that pit-stop brew and chat.

A very good cup of coffee and an excellent date and oats slice to go with it. A perfect afternoon stop off before heading for home. Nice place and efficient staff. My only criticism is the background music, which was too loud, made eveyone talk louder, just adding to the noise. What is wrong with the quiet murmur of conversation?

We’re up and down the U.K. constantly for work. This place has great food. The chicken club is the best I’ve had in the country. Highlight of the day.

My wife and I called in to The Coffee House for a quick drink on Sunday afternoon, 21.07.2019, whilst enjoying a wander round this lovely town and, I have to say, I had the best iced latte ever.I must admit to getting a little confused between "iced" and "frappe" but think I've got the hang of it now in that "iced" is generally, with water whereas "frappe" is with milk/cream. However, what caught my eye here was an "iced" latte which included ice cream, so I went straight for it and what a winner, bang on, great coffee taste and very smooth and chilled, just what was needed on a lazy, sunny, afternoon.My wife went for a banana milkshake and agreed that this, too, was of a high quality. Lovely flavour and served with ice cold milk (a pre-requisite for any milk shake !!). Obviously, we didn't have anything to eat on this occasion but the choices on the menu were good and definitely things we would go forThe service was great, very friendly, a nice, cosy, outside seating area too so, definitely, a place to visit again (if only for the iced latte !!) and would highly recommend

Bacon sandwich..... massive bread with the tiniest portion of bacon. If indicative of a general approach to portioning/price ratio, might be worth dodging. Staff were nice though.

This is a great little place to meet up in the village of Lymm, for hot/soft drinks & light bites. There is a good variety of eats & the place is roomy & clean, with both indoor & outdoor seating. The chap who greeted us (do not know his name, but he had a beard!) was lovely, pleasant & welcoming. The young girl who was there was also friendly/smiley, but the more mature lady was not very approachable at all. (Shy? Or just not wanting to be there)?I almost gave this an excellent review, but could not do so because of this.

Called into the Coffee House for a bite to eat holiday weekend. We had a bacon cranberry and Brie panini a cheddar and chutney panini and a prawn sandwich on whole-wheat bread all came with salad and potato salad which had lovely dressing. Drinks were mocha, Americana and English tea. We also took deserts home which were all fresh and very tasty. If ever in Lymm this place is a must call.

Had the pleasure of stopping here today with friends during a cycle ride . Friendly staff, quick service and good coffee. The only thing that marred the experience was a lack of loos... only the disabled loo was working and unable to cope with the queue. .. so I have to drop to 4/5

Called here after a walk around the dam. It was busy, we sat in a area of comfy sofas but were quickly offered a table when one became vacant. Friendly, welcoming staff and efficient service. Definitely worth a visit

As a frequent visitor to Lymm, I am surprised that we have not found this place before. Small, well staffed and welcoming. We only needed a snack but this is a place we shall return to.

When confonted by a variety of coffee shops how do you choose! We just happened across this one! Good service and reasonably priced for decent casual food. Personally the very modern and clean lines were a touch too clinical for me, but we'll worth trying.

I always visit the coffee when I come up to lymm , I cannot highly recommend this place. very friendly staff and food is lovely. after a walk around lymm villiage this is a must for a refreshing drink.

My partner and I regularly visit on a Sunday after a walk around the village. All day breakfasts are great, eggs Benedict great, chunky chips are great. Generally all the cooked dishes are very good. Cakes are tasty. Coffees are great, though would like a choice of a larger mug. The current large is small compared to most other coffee establishments.

The service here is excellent and so is the food. Have visited here many times and am never disappointed.

We had an early lunch here and sat outside as we had our dog with us. The staff where so friendly and the food was spot on - We had their breakfast wrap and Mexican chicken wrap with some chips and all was excellent. Also as the name of the place would suggest they do great coffee, we will definitely be returning.

I have previously left a fantastic review of the coffee house but after my visit yesterday I'm not sure I'll be returning, Everything seems to have shrank!! We ordered 2 panini's and what arrived I can only describe as a warburton's sandwich thin!! they were tiny and had hardly any filling inside, the lovely potato salad you always used to get with your food was now a teaspoon full in the tiniest pot you've ever seen and the portion of chips we ordered again had shrank and were all squares?? We asked for some mayo and again it was the tiniest amount in what can only be described as a thimble! I also asked for some cold water to accompany my americano coffee, this may be unusual but it's always too hot to drink when I first get it,so I like to cool it down a bit. I don't need some sarcastic remark from the waitress telling me 'that's a new one' The young man in charge knocked a pound off each panini when we commented, It's really not about getting money knocked off or free stuff, I'm just happy with value for money and that was certainly not!

This was the first time we tried this amazing place. When you arrive the staff greet you with a smile & are very welcoming. The food was delicious & again served with a smile. We will definitely return very soon.

We always come here on a Sunday after a run but it's normally quite busy so we decided to have brunch on Saturday instead. The breakfast butties were lovely and fresh as was the coffee. Service was great and wasn't busy at all. We will definitely be back again soon

The Coffee House is a family friendly coffee shop which we highly recommend for its delicious food, great service and relaxed atmosphere! The outside area means dogs can come to.

I led a walk around Lymm last week and 16 of us turned up for coffee/cake mid-morning. I had warned the staff a few days before but they said it would be fine and it was - they had prepared a few tables for us (though a lot of us chose to sit outside as the weather was so good) and the service was excellent. Orders were taken efficiently, good coffee and tasty cake was served quickly and all the staff were pleasant and friendly. I took a smaller group in a few weeks previously and it was just as good then. I would highly recommend.

I arrived in Lymm for a meeting with an old friend and for a walk around to explore. We came across The Coffee House and decided upon a quick coffee to set us up for a walk. There was a lovely welcome from the staff and whilst the cafe was busy, we were shown to a table quickly and our order was taken. The coffee arrived and was just great. We left and went for a long walk and returned for lunch. This was an equally great experience as our first visit. The food was well presented and the staff were, again, very pleasant and lovely to us.

We've visited here multiple times now and the service has been great each time, especially how genuine the welcome was. Something so simple as asking how the weekend is going, in passing, was very well received. The layout is very spacious and the drinks reasonably prices. I recall thinking how reasonably priced food was too, although we only had a toasted teacake so I can't really commend on the food yet. Great for drinks, though - our go-to place in Lymm

We went to the Coffee House for a light lunch having just moved into the area. Although it was busy we got a table and were seated by a very pleasant gentleman. We picked a soup and sandwich from the reasonably priced menu and were pleasantly surprised when the meal was served. It was more than expected and presented in an appetizing way. The food itself was delicious and the soup just at the right temperature. Although this was our first visit it won't be our last.

Treated my Mum for breakfast Friday morning. We both love it here, friendly staff, amazing food & you can tell the members of staff work incredibly hard. Will be sure to visit again soon!

Firstly I have visited here on a few occasions and always found the food to be lovely and well presented. But my last visit with my partner was very disappointing. We had to wait for a table which is fair enough as it was busy. Please note the place is small so when I say busy I don’t mean hundreds of people I just mean full capacity wise. When we did sit down the table was quickly wiped by a waitress who I felt had a very abrupt manner about her. The tables felt sticky and looking around things like the lights, walls, sofa, chairs etc just really needed a deep clean. It wasn’t just a busy day kind of dirt it was a neglected kind of unclean. The menus were also tatty and could do with replacing or even just wiping for a start. We were finally served as its table service. Another waitress served us who was pleasant. Food came. Panini was nice but the potato salad tasted like vinegar. Like when it’s gone of in the fridge or been made up days ago. Chunky chips were nice. Latte lovely. The place is very pricey I feel but that’s just my opinion. Would visit again but do feel it needs a good deep clean , some more smiling staff and maybe new menus.

Served in a clean, warm, friendly Café. The full English is good value at around £8 depending on what you have. They do 'instead ofs' and will swop items without extra charge. The sausages are great quality, not cheap rubbish, and the beans are claggy, just the way I like them. Not the biggest breakfast but very tasty. Only one niggle, the bacon is not of the same standard as the sausages. Excellent non the less!

On our way to Scotland, researched Tripadvisor for an off the motorway place open on a Sunday.....we are so pleased we found The Coffee House. Parking was a bit of a nightmare due to Lymms tiny one way twisty streets but once arrived we found friendly staff and a warm welcome. Busy with mixed groups of diners inc families and friends, obviously a great regular place to meet up in Lymm. The breakfast choice was great. Husband always plumps for the full English ..hes on a mission to find the best...and this wasn't far off. My eggs were lovely as was the fresh coffee. Very reasonably priced for fresh well cooked food and service...would certainly make a detour to visit again.

Arrived n Lymm on a Monday morning and this was the only place in the village open for coffee. The cafe is larger than we realised, the staff very friendly and helpful (assisting us to find a table for 4 in a busy cafe) and the coffee was excellent.

This wasn't our first visit and it won't be our last. The coffee shop is modern and has a lovely atmosphere. The staff are all very nice and friendly. The food is very good and cooked in the open plan kitchen. Recommend the full English breakfast. If you're in Lymm and want a great place to eat, this delivers on every level

Looking at other reviews i thought we may as well tried it and were glad we did !!Decent sized space inside and plenty of tables and they also have a small seating area outside with a few tables which we opted for as it was a really nice sunny day.Overall, food was superb (i had their home made cajun chicken burger with their home made triple cooked chips...... so good!!!!)My girlfriend had a chicken caesar salad which was spot onSee my picture for the burger, as it tastes how it looks..... superb ;0)Despite it being a coffee shop, they also sell a small choice of lager & ciders.Definitely recommend here to eat and drink.

Lovely lunch and coffee with very friendly staff. As we had dog with us sat outside on decking area which could do with a bit of a spruce up and may be some plants to brighten it up! Wouldn't stop us going back though and The Coffee House in Sale is also worth a visit.

Good coffee and very nice Panini and salad. Polite service and a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend

The Coffee House is a lovely place for a coffee, light bite or lunch. Great coffee! The food is always of a high quality. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I often take the children, age 1 and 3, they are always made very welcome.
