The batter on the haddock was very then and not Crispy but this could be down to the steam coming off of it and it was delivered. Chips were good as was the savoloy.

Never left a review but tonight it was awful- chose gluten free cod(usually very nice) it was so hard and fish was dry !!

The local Codfather on Jubilee Square is a frequent choice for me for fish & chips or pie & chips The quality is always good. On my recent visit Lucy cooked a vegetable based pancake which was a good value and tasty snack. I recommend this branch of Codfather as the staff are pleasant and food quality is consistently good.

On my first visit to the Codfather, I arrived at the Jubilee Square branch to collect the order I’d phoned through only to find I’d ordered it with the Jackson Road one. They immediately rang them to cancel that order and started cooking what I’d requested. Zoe and her manager went out of their way to ensure I got my order. The food was superbly fresh, perfectly cooked, non-greasy and yummy. Bonus point was that all the packaging used was eco-friendly. Most definitely will continue to buy from them. When telling other friends locally what a silly mistake I’d made, they also expressed very positive experiences with the Codfather food. 10/10!!

Excellent food great fish and chips. You get what you pay for and whilst it slightly more expensive than the other fish and chips in Aylesbury you are getting a quality product cooked fresh

I can’t praise the staff in The Cod Father Jubilee Square enough, especially Zoe and Matthew they are always happy to see a customer, it’s an absolute pleasure to be served by Zoe. I’m always greeted as soon as I step in the door and I’m there every week getting my 84year Dad his weekly treat, the fish chips and mushy peas are so fresh and tasty.

Tbh I am disappointed in my vist to cod father the batter on the fish and jumbo sausage was very very soggy not what I was looking forward to the share box chips are definitely not a share box chips for 4 and it was all just very oily

Whenever I’m in Aylesbury this is chippy I go to. I’ve tried other local ones in the past but none of them come close to the quality and service you get at The Codfather. I usually go for the classic cod, chips & mushy peas but they’ve got such a good menu that I’m never disappointed if I try something else. Five stars all day long.

Phoned to put in an order at Buckingham park and the girl on the phone was so rude. Ordered at the Jackson Road branch instead who were polite and fish and chips were fab!

Food is normally good however unless you are lucky enough to go there when Matthew the manager is there, prepare to wait at least half hour from when you place your order. Painfully slow.

This was the worst fish and chips I have had. Soggy, oily, just terrible. My 3 kids didn't even eat the chips. They all went to the bin. Big disappointment.

I haven't been to Codfather for a while due to being on a keto diet and I don't eaten many carbs , That said the male staff were very friendly, approachable and offered me what foods I could eat, Burger patte no bun etc .I had a small off keto day and wanted to enjoy their Home made fish cakes which I had always enjoyed to eat, Service was quick and bagged up in a paper Codfather bag ready to go , Thank you for your service

Such a friendly Fish and Chip shop. Family run. Looks like they have exceptional standards of cleanliness and food is always perfectly cooked and delicious. Would really recommend as best in town. I saw they also do Churros so I'm now going back for some too lol

Being a vegan, it's so refreshing to see a fish and chip shop with options for me. The vegan nuggets are the best I have had- accompanied by the delicious halloumi. I highly recommend this to other vegans!!!

Where do i start? Very friendly staff and top quality food. Very well priced, Fresh, hot and tasty chips, the curry sauce is perfect nice and rich with flavour. The vegan nuggets are the best i have ever had, perfect soft texture with a slight crunch. Best chippy by far in Buckinghamshire.

Tried one of the new milkshakes (chocolate flavour) and for a fish and chip shop, I was pleasantly surprised about how delicious it was. Also more reliable then the McDonald’s milkshakes

Food is good, when I had an issue, the manager sent me detailed emails about how they would rectify the situation, so really good customer service.

I use the app to order, meaning I skip all lines when I arrive and generally my food is waiting for me. The food is always done to a great standard, which has been a challenge at other chippy's in and around Aylesbury! The team are always helpful.

For a chip shop it was terrible experience. Staff seem like they Don't know what they doing.

Food absolutely gorgeous. Young woman on the till was so rude, rolled her eyes and rushed us choosing off the menu. Spoke to us like we were inconveniencing her. Atrocious attitude for customer service. Shame as food is class. Definitely go back. If I see her again I'll be speaking to Manager.

The Codfather at Jubilee Square is our ‘Go To’ treat take-away. Gone are the days of limp, undercooked and greasy chips that leave, more oil on the paper than they use to cook with. Codfather chips are crispy, piping hot and seriously addictive! I’m happy with just the chips and curry sauce but the family also love the veggie burger, battered sausage and golden, crunchy fish fillets. As a nation of calories counters, we are told to avoid anything coated or fried, but sorry, as an all too occasional treat, The Codfather cannot be beaten. Staff are friendly and efficient and the premises are spotless. Can’t say fairer than that!!

Quick Efficient service. Great Food

I’ve used Codfather in Jubilee Square Buckingham Park for a few years now, and I have to say it’s easily my number 1 choice (having tried at least a dozen chippies in a 2-3 mile radius of Aylesbury). I’ve only tried their fish, chips, scampi, pies, fish bites, halloumi and mushy peas, but I’ve never had any complaints - the food is always fresh and hot. Thankfully, they’ve always had a top hygiene rating; and I get great service every time (which can be rare these days). Even though they can be busy at certain times (and they’re busy for good reason), it’s well worth the short wait. Their premises has always been decent and clean, and there’s plenty of parking outside with a Budgens store only a few doors away, which makes it super convenient. Can’t really go wrong - carry on the good work guys!
