Lived in the area for over 50 years 1st time we've been here .Ten of us went every won said that it was the best meal that they have ever had in the UK.Probley any where.Cant wait to go back.

It’s my go too place for the best Italian meal in the area.

Had a wonderful anniversary meal. The staff were friendly, attentive and professional and really looked after us. We had scallops in lobster sauce and octopus to start - both delicious. I had the medallions in Stilton and port - tender and delicious. My partner had the sirloin which was cooked to perfection.

Absolutely top quality. Fresh sardines, baked avocado prawns, seafood pasta, cooked to perfection steak. Fab service. Expensive.

Found this place by accident today. (Dec 2023)Had lunch there, I had Lasagne and my wife had steak with pate. This is a perfect place to eat. The food is second to none, and the staff are really lovely. Update.....Visited On Sat 6th Jan 24 and expected the same service as before. How wrong we were. The barman, an arrogant individual ,was shouting and swearing at the lovely waitress in front of the customers. The manager just stood there watching. What he should have done was dealt with the problem. Personally I would have sacked him on the spot. Very unprofessional and certainly ruined the meal for me. The food was not as good as before, and we waited for nearly an hour for our main course. Unfortunately this experience has ruined it for us so we will not be returning. The manager needs to sort his staff out.

Beautiful food. Had veal alla pizzaola . Exquisite.

Lovely atmosphere and good service. Just a shame the food was no more than average.

Terrific meal must use a to and fro

Set in an ornate building in the heart of Ruxley garden centre from the outside it certainly looks attractive. The tables are set out evenly given the customer adequate space. Upon ordering a beer I did not like that the bottle was taken away before I even had the chance to finish pouring it into the glass. When I looked the coach house menu up and saw the prices they charge I was expecting a fine dining experience which the restaurant failed to deliver. The starter stated beef fillet , this was braising steak at best as it was chewy. The main course was terrible, the veg was hard and cold and the fish portion miniscule. The fish had good flavour, but was gone in three mouthfuls. You would also think when a restaurant supplies a table with bread olives and peppers that these would be complementary, but alas no they were not. As they say in 'four in a bed ' would i come back ? The answer is a resounding no.

We came with some elderly relatives. They really looked after us. Easy parking very close by. The menu is very varied.

Ok place to eat true Italian experience

Lovely birthday evening meal couldn't fault it.

We asked if the bread/olives was complimentary or if we had to pay. The response from waiter was doesn’t matter we love money. At the end we was charged £56 just for that. What a rip off. The same waiter was also rude to my friend and said are you going to speak and wheres your boyfriend? Very rude. When it came to sorting out the bill my daughter didn't realise it would be so expensive not expecting the steep service charge £58 and bread and olives £56. She had allocated money for what she had. We stepped in to help but the waiter said to her next time bring money. This humiliated her in front of everyone and resulted in her being in tears. This was my birthday meal which ruined it tbh and wasn’t even acknowledged. The written bill was quickly detached and taken away as well so we didn't have a copy of it. Definitely would not recommend or go back .

So strange to have a restaurant of this quality in the garden centre carpark but well worth a visit small a bit crowded but it works. Staff very attentive and welcoming and the food was lovely. Hopefully back again soon

Have been coming to the Coachouse for many years! Well another great meal. I had the calves liver and bacon which was cooked to perfection. Hubby had the fillet steak snd again cooked perfectly. Staff were great, especially Enzo.

Really lovely to be so i spoilt only problem was they didn't have lemon sole or Dover sole really disappointing I opted for pasta which was really awful. Really dry and all I could taste was the chile's In future will phone beforehand to check availability

Love the ambiance and team at this restaurent, everything is amazing! A few must-try’s: the skate wing, the bolognese, vongole, milanese, and profiteroles. Don’t forget that each (huge) order comes with a selection of sides - come hungry.

I have been coming here since 1981 when I was 10 years old. My father took us and his clients here when Valecci opened and me, the same, 25 years later. It was my eldest son’s 21st last night and this is where he wanted to come. 3 generations later and still the same classy experience; The food is exceptional, Enzo and his staff are the best in the business and nothing is too much trouble. If cost is your priority, this is not your kind of restaurant. If first class food served by exceptionally attentive yet subtle waiters in intimate and personal surroundings is what’s required, come here as you’ll never be disappointed.

The food is amazing. Certainly better than many local restaurants. Service good and very much traditional with veg served by the waiters and toothpicks on the table, a small but valuable thing . Looking forward to returning

Great food with a lovely atmosphere made our anniversary perfect.

My Brother and I took my Mum for her 90th Birthday yesterday and so glad we did. We went for a lunchtime booking and received a very warm welcome from the very attentive staff. The meals we all chose were absolutely lovely and left us all full up. The monkfish main was a very good choice and well worth it. This restaurant is not cheap, but for a special meal its a place I would definitely go back to.

Very nice Italian! We have passed by a couple when at ruxley Manor and decided to give it a go this evening. Plently of options on the menu and evening more specials. Couldn’t fault the food, probably the best Italian meal I have had outside of Italy. Would definitely go again.

Lovely food and fantastic friendly staff it's small size is a advantage for the those going there rather than a bigger restaurant where you would not get the same level of service and good food

As always we had a great time, the seafood was the star. Great service as well.

The aesthetic of the restaurant is traditional and well presented. The staff were lovely and quite the characters. The food portions are large however it was too much and some options are suited to share. Overpowers the plate and spoils the meal if you're having 2 or 3 courses as you can't finish your meal. The lasagne didn't have much meat and was heavy in sauce. The salmon pasta was very rich and subtle on the salmon, very small thin pieces. The breadcrumb chicken wasn't as described, it was battered. Quite a bland meal. The cost was okay but there was a cover charge which the staff couldn't explain as well as service charge which made up £25 of the bill. Raw fish was kept outside in a fridge which is against health regulations. Won't be returning as the food lacks a lot of flavour and taste.

Well long story. Bad past exsperiance at there sister chislehurst restaurant Due Aminci.Food and service is average but only if you pay the cover and service charge. If not your have four two faced jumped up waiters round your table arguing why you should pay in front of your guests with one throwing down ten pounds twice of his own money saying here i pay. I called in again but unknown to me and my wife we had been banned which caused another big row with the owner accusing me of causing an affray and being rude to his waiters which the head waiter denied. Drinks very exspensive bordering on 9 pound a pint making drinks bill equal to food if you get carried away by not saying no. Other wise if its easy come easy go you should have a nice meal.

Second visit here. All the staff make you feel very at home here. Bit pricey but an enjoyable experience.

Top quality Italian restaurant. Such a lovely & Cody setting. The owner and staff clearly have a great bond. Food may not be cheap but is of the highest quality so is fairly priced. Excellent service. Keep up the great work

This charming restaurant has been used by my family many times over the years. It's not the cheapest but offers a good selection of quality foods especially fish dishes. On my latest visit for a friends birthday in midweek we was expecting the extra choice of a set menu as seen advertised Tuesday to Thursday on the blackboard outside but sadly on arrival this was not available. When seated a selection of the specials mostly fish dishes are presented on show at the table which is informing and entertaining. I went for the lobster in garlic starter which was amazing but sadly the main dish of the T-bone steak was a bit chewy. Desert was the black forest gateau which was delicious. Will definitely revisit but would probably stick to the fish dishes in the future

Starters were lovely i had mushrooms with steak in a sauce & my partner had scallops. The mains were not good my cod was overpowered with lemon juice, sauté potatoes were tasteless & veg was really hard! My partners lamb cutlets were also overpowered with garlic! Very disappointed it's a lovely place friendly staff & extremely quaint- but we won't be returning

Reviewing on my mother's behalf: I would give it 0 stars if I could. I went there with 3 other friends for a birthday meal. We only had 3 bottles of sparkling water, 2 starters between us all and a main each. Total bill came to £36 per head! Apparently the sauce and vegetables are separate to the dishes (wasn't mentioned on the menu at all). Vegetables, which were 2 florets of broccoli, 2 florets of cauliflower and some sauté potatoes, were alone £5 per head. "Cover charge" apparently covers the olives that they sneakily already placed on the table and the bread which they go around offering to customers! They need to make these hidden charges CLEAR! Will never come back again. Have no idea how this place is getting anything higher than 2 stars, my experience was absolutely terrible!!!

Highly recommended! We went for dinner to ceebrate San Valentine’s Day with our babygirl, and everything was just right. Food was delicious, place cosy and the multicultural staff was very kind indeed with us three. The price is worth it! 👍

Supposed to be a birthday treat. Very expensive and hidden charge for olives left on table £7.00. Dessert trolley very poor and waiter reluctant to allow for a small taster prior to order. Very tight on vegetables and waiter shared a half piece of broccoli floret with my husband and I. Not a birthday treat at all.

Never knew this place existed before. But, wow! Proper old school Italian diner. Highly recommended. Great ambience, atmosphere, food, service. Give it a go. It won't disappoint.

Be prepared to pay for this odd 70's experience! Dessert trolley, linen table cloths and a shaky handed waiter serving veg to your plate at the table in a silver service fashion. I ordered a skate wing, it was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I did object to being charged £5.20 for mixed veg, for that price I expect something a bit more interesting than broccoli, cauliflower and a few dried potatoes. A £1.80 cover charge per head also snuck in for a bread roll and olives I neither asked for or ate. They kindly calculated a service charge that suited them and added it to my bill ...in case I forgot?! £40 for 1 main course, 1 drink and a coffee I found a bit pricey for a lunch stop. I think perhaps this is a bit of a trap for people like me visiting Ruxley Manor and wanting to avoid the canteen.

We had our Christmas lunch here. Service was excellent. Lovely Italian food. Set Christmas menu was good value for money although not a traditional menu. The A la Carte menu had various options between £30 and £50 a head for 3 courses, plus drinks, cover and service charge. A little gem of a place for that special occasion. Well worth a visit.

Really disappointed as I had always wanted to go to this restaurant. Food way over priced, had the smallest lobster I’d ever seen!!!!!! £43!!!! Came with no side dishes, wouldn’t of hurt them to add some vegetables to the dish My partners steak mediocre, again no side dishes just a steak on a plate!!!! Shared a starter which was ok 4 beers Bottle of prosecco Lobster steak And a portion of chips to share (Charge for bread and olives that we didn’t even ask for) And a service charge!!!!! £14 £148.90 !!!!!!!!!!!! Awful!!!!!!!! When we complained about the size of the lobster the waiter said ok il tell my manager That’s the last we heard of the matter Will never go there again

Have been to this place several times always good. However they surpassed themselves last week. When I called them last minute on the 11th May as previous restaurant we had booked for my Mum's 70th Birthday cancelled the room we had an hour before arriving Nightmare !!! Called the Coach house at 6pm within 5 mins " Don't worry we will fit you in table for 14 people " Sorted nightmare turned into an absolutely wonderful night, food excellent as always, good banter with the staff and Mum and family over the moon. So thank you to all the staff. Proper old skool restaurant that look after you. cheers Phil

I could of cooked better Steak at home, the sirloin cut was fatty and poor quality for the price. Chips were cold, wrinkled up and disgusting. Service was pushy and arrogant and had the cheek to put their own service charge on. Will never ever ever go here again or recommend to anyone. Extremely poor quality.

Birthday lunch. Food was ordinary quality (but it was the day after valentine's day, so I guess a lot of leftovers were in the fridge to be used up), and certainly over priced. Staff very friendly. But we really dislike a service charge or tip being added to the bill.

One of the best Italian restaurants in the area. The coach house and it's sister restaurant Due Amici serve (in my opinion at least) some of the best Italian food in the area. The menu is very large yet the chefs maintain a fantastic standard throughout and if you would prefer something a little different then the staff will happily sort it out. The restaurant has incredibly friendly staff with the vast majority having worked there for years leading to a fantastic combination of speed and quality. The food is priced more expensive than other restaurants around but ultimately you get what you pay for with outstanding quality throughout. I would personally recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys delicious, high quality Italian food.
