Good bar to watch football. Abit expensive for pints so moved on to cheaper pub.

Good old fashioned spit n sawdust pub.....I was driving so had soft drink but partner was suitability impressed with cocktail 🍸 list....sat outside and friendly local told me all about The local area and its connection with the Royal Navy....Great wee boozer..9/10....

Fantastic as ever,staff and service on point, jukebox best in Scotland. No food, no kids but bring yer dug (your dog).

I have 5 starred this for my one and only visit to the venue. They had a Still Game theme and all staff had dressed as Jack, Victor, Isa, Navid and more. The place was very busy, very noisy. The back of the bar had a large disco area with Navid as DJ. There was a hen party dancing away. Not my kinda place but the atmosphere was great.

Good pub, staff are very friendly, but the music is way to loud.

Perhaps the best pub in Helensburgh. Always find myself ending a night out here and you will love it. Just watch out for Navy boys. Good beer and spirit selection.

My favourite pub in Helensburgh (when I get the chance to go out). Traditional pub with good selection of beers and excellent jukebox. Always show the football and banter at the bar is usually decent. Decent prices too.

My partner was left outside and refused entry after leaving for a smoke. Left me , his drink & jacket inside and had to fight to get back in to me. Then we had to leave . 😒

Order a drink left it down on the table with my jaket went out for a smoke and was refused entry to get my drink and jacket only got the jacket back after arguing to get it ....👎

Well this was an odd place. I stopped in while Sam did some shopping along Clyde Street. The barmaid was on the phone the entire time. She seemed a bit put off having to serve me. When Sam came in I stood at the bar waiting to get served by the same on the phone barmaid. Locals giving us some not so pleasant looks. Very rude. Worst pub experience on this 2 week trip to Scotland.

I have lived in the area for a few years now and always felt The Clyde Bar to be a welcoming place, not anymore. Had queued for a drink at 11.40pm having not heard any sign of last orders, a member of staff served somebody (who i was there before) who she appeared to know and then ignored us. I asked a man behind the bar for a drink and then was informed "the bar has been shut a while" whilst he was stood there pouring a pint. Rude and obnoxious.

Popped in by chance earlier as I’m temporarily in the area. I found the bar staff considerably rude and reluctant to serve me whilst people pushed in front of me. I will not be returning if I’m back in the area and will be spending my money in pubs elsewhere.

Nice large bar on the main promenade

The bar is nice enough with pleasant staff. It serves the usual type beverages to be expected in Scotland. It has pool tables at the back for those who like a game of that! Problem was that the locals always want to engage in conversation, but into yours and quiz you for your life story. It’s off putting.

Felt like a reasonable 'Old School' pub. A pleasant wee surprise.

Called in today with my wife and dog ,initially to get out of the rain. A very enjoyable couple of pints with some great characters ...thank you

First visit, quiet on a Sunday night, two pool tables out the back, no draught ales, but a good selection of drinks. A great selection of older music was played including King Crimson and Roxy Music. Friendly staff.

This is the first time been here it's very let's say retro inside newspaper covered ceilings some of the walls painted with graffiti and loud music, rock music playing at the time, staff very friendly and table service was given.

Went here for a few drinks and found it very decent indeed. Bar staff were friendly and helpful too, they even charged up my wife's phone for her. Theres a really nice beer garden to the rear which is just what we wanted as the sun was out all day. The beer garden was mainly locals and they were friendly as well. I would recommend this pub to anyone visiting Helensburgh

Traditional pub beside the Clyde estuary at Helensburgh. A large venue behind the bar and a very pleasant beer garden at the rear. A good selection of draught beers, worth a visit.

Was sat at window but overlooked by staff as they seemed to be serving regulars even though we were in before them will not be back.

Our good friend Elaine (aka piley!) and the guys make sure you are well looked after. Could have moaned the staropramen got replaced, but heverlee is grand!

Brill bar, phenomenal cocktails and a great time had by all.

Loved it .staff excellent. But should use the heaters provided for the customers.

Lovely beer garden at the back. Inside decor a bit dark and gloomy, but with a couple of pool tables good place for a drink Prices...very are good. I really liked this bar.

I was refused entry to this bar on a night out with some of my work colleagues because 8 years ago I had an altercation with one of the door staff whilst on a night out in a separate town (get over it)

Clyde bar what a fantastic local pub, One best things is if your a visitor to Helensburgh year on year you will totally enjoy the paint job of the building. It sure is a tourist attraction evey time place get painted outside. Great range beers and drinks good service worth a visit.

Does what it says on the tin. Good drinks. Decent music and the atmosphere is top notch.

As long as you appreciate it's not a high class bar, it's a great spot. The entertainment they get from time to time is usually great so look out for it.

Great staff, prices reasonable, great staff, not the most modern of places but is always full Fri Sat night and sun night, open till 2am on Fri/Sat mornings and Sat/sun mornings, did I mention great staff, off course I did there 2nd to no one. Iain xxx
