A favourite of the locals, that says a lot! Weekend music. Great food in the restaurant and always a warm welcome. Brilliant. P.s. it's seriously noisy inside and would definitely benefit from some sound absorbing wall treatment.

Great location and a nice welcome on arrival. Table as requested and food was both tasty and well proportioned. The only niggle was the music from the bar area was both loud and not really appropriate for ambiance that was trying to be created. Personal choice maybe but relevant to our reason for dining. Nice dining experience overall and we'll be coming back 👍🏻🙂

Really nice delicious Sunday lunch. The staff couldn’t be more helpful especially when the kitchen forgot to put something on my plate. They were extremely apologetic and got it sorted in a timely manor couldn’t fault them.

I had not been to the Cliff House for a few years because I had not been overly impressed at my last visit, but some friends wanted to try it again so we did. I am glad I did. The service was good and the food really excellent. Being able to watch a beautiful sunset over the ocean during the meal was an added bonus. I will definitely go back.

Stopped for a drink after a walk along Barton sea front and the decided to share a platter. Good food and choice of drinks. Sat in the spacious outside garden with fantastic views across to Isle of Wight. Garden has outside toilets and lots of seating drinks and food were brought to table. There is also an outside function area. Although didn't use there is a reasonable sized car park

Popped in on a cold wet September Thursday lunchtime. There was a cosy log burner in the bar. The restaurant was quite busy, but the service was excellent. Good menu choice, and the food was excellent. Very pleasant staff. Must go back on a clear day to see the view.

Stopped by for a light lunch and a beer the food was excellent and the service/staff were outstanding. It was my son’s eighteenth birthday and totally by surprise they sent out a complimentary sweet platter wishing him a happy birthday. What a lovely gesture. I was further impressed by how well they received our two dogs. I am so pleased we found this place, they made our lunch time stop a birthday treat. I would not hesitate in recommending them. A massive thanks to all the team

Been here a few times and love the location. Generally the food is good but not amazing. However, tonight I had the seafood linguine and my wife had the trout and I have to say it was absolutely delicious. Hope it continues.

The Cliffhouse is one of three establishments owned by the same people (The Townhouse in Lymington and The Lighthouse in Milford on Sea) this has now become a destination establishment. This place is a must to visit. Busy, thriving, energetic. Wonderful attentive staff. Their menu is amazing and changes with the seasons. If you love fish then this is the place to visit. I'm not sure who the chef is but is a master with ingredients, taste and presentation regardless as to what is prepared If you're a gin lover then their extensive gin menu will not disappoint. Married up with Fever Tree mixers Booking for the main restaurant is a must at weekends or sit in the bar and enjoy an array of beers, wines and food. Outside seating is available all year round. Summer will give you views across to Hengisbury Head (Dorset), overlooks Barton beach and you can watch the sun set over The Solent - very beautiful or enjoy the differing hues of winter skies as the sun disappears - bring your camera. Accommodation available with onsite carpark. Dogs allowed

We visited yesterday for lunch on our weekend away, after a recommendation from family who visit regularly. We were not disappointed! So much so, we went back today for some drinks. The yummiest seafood - the sole melted in your mouth and the scallops were so flavoursome. The cocktail menu is 10/10 and I will dream of that white bueno martini forever. (I had to ask for the recipe so I can make it back at home!) staff are very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back next time we visit the area! Highly recommend 🌞 Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Went for lunch. My friend had fish gumbo. She noticed that one langustine was purple and the tail, which she ate, was mushy . She told the waitress who said she would speak to the chef. As I was paying the bill, she reported that the chef said it was only the head which wasn't cooked. I wasn't offered any money off the bill and didn't make a fuss, but I won't be going back again. Rather sad

Fantastic Sunday lunch. Excellent food, contemporary deco, friendly and attentive service. Best scallops I've ever had. It was a friend's birthday and she got an amazing happy birthday desert on the house. If this isn't enough- there are fantastic sea views over Mudeford Bay and beyond. And last but not least - dogs are welcome.

We visited by chance on a sunny Sunday whilst walking in the local area. We were greeted by a very friendly host who showed us to a stunning table overlooking the sea and cliffs of Barton on Sea. We ordered from their BBQ menu which stated it was only served when it’s sunny. The food certainly matched the weather as it was bright and full of summer flavours. We enjoyed the Swordfish, but the Chicken and Chorizo Skewers were a highlight. We were going to stop by for a quick bite to eat and a pint, but ended up partaking in cocktails and a jug of Pimms, all of which were fabulous. I can’t wait to return soon to try the full menu in their main restaurant. They had a massive outdoor area so it was quite easy to get a table, even during peak hours. I would highly recommend a visit, as it’s about as close to Portugal in the UK!
