We hosted our engagement party at The Cider Box back in October. Highly recommend the Cider Box for any party or event you may be planning. Dan is really good fun and helpful with getting organised and set up. We hired in a food truck to cater for everyone who set up shop outside. Everything was so smooth on the day and the run up. The drinks selections went down a treat and we partied till the final minutes we were able to - the space is perfect for it. Staff were really friendly throughout the night too.

I went to get some plants for our new house. I drank some cider when I was there and it was pleasant. Would go again 👍

Visited here for the first time on Saturday and will definitely be returning. Everything about this place is utterly charming. Excellent selection of ciders, great tunes, lovely vibes and the owner, Dan, is a wonderful host. Love it.

What a find! Proper cider in the city straight from the orchards of north somerset, the back gardens of middle class clifton residents and even further! Delicious cider and lovely owner, as well as quality merch! Definitely recommend!

Cider box brings the village community to the big city. You feel every time you visit there is something special happening here. Druid friendly. Oh yeh and one of the few places you can get genuinely delicious craft cider. Easy to order deliveroo for food, crisps and pork scratchings on point. Does also serve beer,wine and spirits for the non cider initiated.

The Bristol Cider Box is a Tap Room specialising in reasonably-priced, high-quality, real-juice Ciders (plus the occasional Perry) which is located in a brick arch underneath the Great Western Railway's main line from Temple Meads to Paddington at Silverthorne Lane in the slightly less-than-salubrious Saint Phillip's district of the city. For visitors arriving by rail it takes 10-15 minutes to walk there from Temple Meads station. Although the surrounding area is grimly industrial rather than pleasantly residential I've always felt safe enough strolling there and back along the side of the Feeder Canal. In Summer it's possible to sit at one of the wooden tables set outside on the pavement but in the cooler months it's better to retreat inside, where ample bench seating is available. The toilet facilities are basic but clean and functional. The jewel in the crown of the Bristol Cider Box is the ever-changing range of bag-in-a-box Real Ciders including some unusual Single Varietals such as my two personal favourites - Brown's Apple from Devon and Yarlington Mill from Somerset. The occasional ticket-only Cheese and Cider Evenings, where speciality Ciders and Perries (plus Cider Brandy!) are paired with Cream Crackers and Artisan Cheeses from small West Country producers are excellent value for money. They give novices the opportunity to learn more about this delightful, natural, traditional Westcountry alcoholic beverage from Dan, the acknowledged expert, in relaxed and friendly surroundings. Opening hours are somewhat restricted, being confined to Saturday afternoons and evenings (13:00-22:30) and Friday evenings (16:00-22:30), which is a good way of stopping me from spending more money there than I can really afford during my occasional visits to Bristol!

One of my favourite places in Bristol. Always good cider on tap and a warm welcome. Nothing beats drinking a nice cider out in the sunshine.

I recently had the pleasure of booking Daniel from The Cider Box Bristol for a cheese and cider tasting experience for my brother's stag party, and I cannot recommend him enough! From start to finish, Daniel was an absolute pleasure to work with - he was prompt in his communication, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a fantastic time. The tasting itself was simply incredible. Daniel's knowledge of both cheese and cider/perry was nothing short of impressive, and his passion for both really shone through. He took the time to explain the different varieties of cheese and cider/perry that we were trying, as well as their origins, production methods, and tasting notes. Not only that, but he also gave us some entertaining history and stories behind the food and drinks. But it wasn't just Daniel's expertise that made the experience so special - it was his enthusiasm and infectious personality. He had us laughing and joking throughout the tasting, and he really made an effort to get to know us and make us feel comfortable. Out of the way, but worth a visit

This is THE BEST place to go for cider in Bristol, such a great selection and there always seems to be something fun happening here every time I visit. I can't wait to go to cider and cheese tasting festival in April!

We booked a cider and cheese tasting for a hen do with 10 of us. Dan came over to the place we were staying at in Bath and hosted a fun and interesting tasting. Dan is so knowledgeable - walking enciclopedia of cider facts. The hen loved it, so did everyone else. Highly recommend as a group activity. Thanks Dan and team

Brilliant, quirky and very enjoyable evening at the cider box. The owner was a great host and the bingo games had the whole place up dancing and singing! Shots of mead , cheese and bingo themed songs alongside the child’s bingo Machine, prizes and chocolate medals. :-) It was hilarious and we will be going back for other events they have on. The evening was accompanied by the freshest cider and mulled cider.

Similar to some of the other brewery pop ups nearby, this is basically a shed with a bar down a dead end street, but it was buzzing on a Saturday night and the Cider was great too.

A cool place, especially for cider fans. It's obviously a bit raw and basic, but it has character, has a good sound system, and is a nice environment to chill out with friends... although chill you might, this venue is just under a railway arch and open-fronted so it can get a bit cold.

Came here for a cider tasting. Amazing hosts, very knowledgeable and a great selection of cider, perry, brandy and mead. Highly recommended coming down here!

We were kindly hosted by the cider box for a cocktail making pop up, it was brilliantly organised by Carrie from the stag and hen company Bristol. The owner Dan Heath came over at the end and asked us if we enjoyed ourselves, he then gave the bride a drink and made a toast, which was just lovely. We didn’t taste much his wares but the stag party opposite is were having a wonderful time! They also provided us with entertainment, so I would 100% recommend coming here. Thank you again for having us.

Have visited here a few times and absolutely love it! Literally the best selection of cider in Bristol and at a great price. Lovely staff and such a nice little hidden treasure in an area with no other boozer nearby. Look forward to trying out more ciders!

Visited here twice last year, once with my young daughter. We were met by very pleasant, helpful staff. The cider was excellent and great value. A quirky but charming and valuable to Bristol's cider scene.

We first visited the arch when CiderBox was just a few months old & fresh out of lockdown. We all, kids included received a warm welcome with a great selection of ciders and snacks. Due to those early days we’ve been returning regularly bringing friends and family along who have all enjoyed the visit and even taking their own friends there too. The kids love it chalking on the road, riding bikes and kicking a ball and we’ve even attended an online virtual cider tasting session as well as cheese nights at the arch. As the business has grown the cider selection has grown hugely along with the snacks but the great service and personal warm welcome has never faltered despite some very challenging times due to COVID in 2020/21. It’s a bespoke place in a strange setting surrounded by old industrial / railway architecture but there’s just something great about it all with an eclectic mix of people that are completely non-pretentious and all enjoying themselves. Biker friendly too may I add!👍🏻 Dan is a great host and a supporter of other businesses too often welcoming a mix of food vendors. Get down there, sample the ciders and chase them with a small glass of mead! You won’t regret it!

Always have an amazing time at the Cider Box and leave feeling better and merrier than when I arrived. Informal but attentive hospitality, ciders for every palate and excellent wines. Go just to see Dan the owner in action, he is hysterical. Mini festival vibes every time!

I love this place. If I could move in, I would. If you, like me love real cider then then you should move in too! We need more places like this… down to earth, chilled, friendly and full of cider!

Great vibes in a fun bar with real ciders

We visited on a Friday night and it seemed the owner was more interested in getting smashed himself than looking after his customers. We ordered rounds through the app that were never brought over but there no staff anywhere to ask so we just left in the end. Also seemed to be a complete lack of Covid safety with people moving between tables and not wearing masks. There's so many great tap rooms around Old Market we'd recommend giving this one a miss!

Been waiting a few weeks for this place to open, and was very pleased to finally get in. Just what this part of town needs. Superb real ciders, cheese toasty snacks, and friendly folk. My first post lockdown outing. What a fantastic little place. Great selection of craft ciders, and a super cool vibe. The manager there really pulled out all the stops to look after everyone in these strange times. Will be back!
