First time at the Church Inn!! Fabulous food! Really enjoyed every part of our experience!! We sat in a really lovely area close to the fire and the setting was perfect! The food was amazing and well presented! Ella, the waitress , was superb!! She’s a credit to the Church Inn!! Very helpful, very polite and always smiling!!! Great staff! Will definitely be going back ❤️

10 of us had a meal here today for my birthday with my family. Very disappointed, starters had to be changed as they hadn't had a delivery so couldn't have what people ordered. Meals didn't come with all that was advertised. Don't think we will be going back there. Some had to sit having their food with their coats on as it was freezing inside.

Family visit for Xmas dinner. It was a little cramped and felt like we were squeezed in the corner. Very long delays between courses. 4 hours altogether from starter to desert! Food was mostly good but some people had undercooked roast potatoes. Staff were friendly.

Great place for a family get together. Thirteen in our party and they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Came here this evening for my mams 70th birthday I must say what a beautiful place the staff are really friendly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! They catered for 25 of us and was spot on with everyone’s meals the food was piping hot and amazing high quality…. highly recommend this place for food definitely a 5 star thanks you again to all that staff for a amazing job you did I will definitely be returning ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First time to the Church Inn and it was for a Celebration but it was a lovely place to be in and the staff was lovely and helpful and the food was hot and the price was very reasonable.

Sadly 4 of us dined here, but, none of had very good food which was a shame as the waitresses were lovely. My daughter had steak which wasn’t cheap but, she didn’t like to complain but said it wasn’t very nice so no, wouldn’t go back for food but, their cocktails are lovely!

Loved it, would truly recommend Sunday lunch.

Good food, fast and professional service, pleasant atmosphere. Also allowed our dogs to accompany us at the dinner table, which is a massive plus for us. We called and checked if this was ok beforehand. Also, the desserts and top draw!

This is a super lowkey place, which made it so much more of a surprise. The food was fantastic, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I've heard the mixed grill has to be seen to be believed.

Attended here twice in a few months for Sunday lunch and it’s a great, reasonably priced place for a big group/smaller group. Food was amazing, my only recommendation would be to have more variety of veg and that it actually all comes on the plate ready. Saves dishing things out and making a mess, given you only have parsnips, carrots, peas and cabbage. That being said, was still a great amount of food and the beef is outstanding.

Had a meal for 10 people and must say food was really good, although the batter on my fish needed more seasoning and was slightly overcooked. Some of the meals arrived late, which we were recompensed for. The menu needs sorting as there was confusion if the mixed grill was for 1 or 2 people. The menu should be printed black on white, not vice-versa as it is and needs to be clearer to avoid confusion. All in all though, the food and service was really good and would definitely return. 👌

I'm giving 2 star's because when we had food it was nice, we waited hour an half before we had it to be told sorry they have been busy, I told her the place was nearly empty when we arrived, she didn't no what to say walked away. Staff just stood around talking, small portions after spending £140 on 6 people an came away hungry,.

Amazing food and service recommendations for this pub 100%

Visited twice recently and been underwhelmed. Very busy, and although the staff were working hard, there just weren't enough of them to keep up, so service was slow and we had to go the bar a few times to ask for someone to take our orders. Food was average and quite expensive.

Cosy country pub lovely polite staff great food cannot wait to come back. The cocktails are the best proper mixologist none of this out of a bottle.

Very rude management. Food over priced. Beware of dress code.

Bitterly disappointed. Having been recommended this place I had high expectations but was left unsatisfied. Service was okay and food arrived at a decent pace but over all the food was extremely bland. The veg was under cooked and cold, the roast potatoes were hard the gravy was like water and really lacked any body to it. t To be honest everything was well below average. Would not recommend for Sunday Lunch Gravy - very watery lacked any flavor or body. Beef - tender and the only thing good about the meal Roasties - hard, tasteless and and insult to call it a roast Veg - hard cold and bland Yorkshire - good, average. Mash - actually quiet alright had a nice texture, creamy with prices of unmashed potato mixed in which I quiet liked.

Great food plenty of easy parking

This is the first time my partner and I have tried the Church inn, and I’m not famous for leaving positive reviews but on this occasion I will say I was really impressed with the food. The waiting staff seemed really busy but achieving not much. But the food speaks for itself. Would definitely visit again and the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is we were seated in a particularly cold area. Other than than it’s a really nice place with really good food.

Good food, good atmosphere. Car park was full, but it didn't feel crowded inside. Staff were very nice.

If you like stale garlic roasties and garlic mash on a Sunday lunch, go for it, raised the issue when I was there, raised again with them privately when I left, that was ten days ago, they acknowledged my issue immeadiately, but not heard anything since. Wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend.

First time here tonight and it definitely won't be the last. The atmosphere is wonderful and relaxed, the layout is welcoming and the food & drink is beautiful! As a vegan it was a real delight to not have to settle for a nut roast or veggie curry but actually be able to have a lovely, hot, delicious meal. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and having spoken to the male host we definitely felt at ease. Highly recommended, quality service, quality food.

Took my grandson and his girlfriend for dinner as she is from the usa previously had excellent meals so was expecting the same . Sadly no the steak was very dry and overdone the salad very limp mushrooms tasted a bit mouldy . My husband had the fish which he said it looked like the frozen ones you get in packets from the freezer. Also tasted bland whereas before the fish tasted fresh from the sea we told the waitress it wasnt up to the usual so took half a meal off the bill but it ruined what should have been a happy memory

I have visited The Church Inn quite a few times over the last year. The food, service and atmosphere is consistent - never a poor dining experience. A friend and I shared a Tex Mex platter which was delicious. We had a perfectly chilled Margherita to accompany it. The staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive. It's become my favourite place to dine locally.

Popped in here for the lunchtime menu . Ordered the chicken curry and it was home made not like usual microwave curry's you get from big chains . It tasted absolutely stunning 😋. Reasonable portions too. The staff were very welcoming and very helpful. I look forward going back there for evening meal . 50oz tomahawk steak caught my eye on the menu. Also the coctail list looked impressive. I would recommend th Church Inn.

Very nice visit to the Church Inn. Good range of food- we had a Mexican shared platter which was great. Nicely decorated inside_ staff were very pleasant. Recommended.

Went there for sunday lunch it was amazing, the food was absolutely stunning, my hubby had the vegetarian nut roast he said this was the nicest vegetarian dish he'd ever eaten out could not fault it. Staff were so friendly and nothing was too much of a problem, will definitely be going back there again soon.

Recently refurbished with great food we got a warm welcome.

Dreadful food. Premium priced for poor quality. Fish was still raw and cold. No plates or desert forks/spoons supplied for birthday cake. Gave 1 star which was generous.

Lovely food , quick service and nice staff. Unfortunately we were sat by the door which made for a chilly cold seating area. Table for two is too small to fit the plates and everything else on , good job we had a shelf next to us. Ladies toilets were nice . Will definitely visit again , but when the weather is warmer 😁

Two potatoes short of a decent Sunday dinner, that was the good bit, strange place, no menus, didn't know how much we were being charged, service poor, desserts were not up to standard, miniscule amount of custard, to dumb struck to ask for more, was hoping to like it but very disappointed

We went here for and evening meal and it was absolutely wonderful. There were different vegan options. I had the mushroom and cranberry wellington. There were no vegan desserts but the owner made one for me which will be on their Christmas menu and it didn't disappoint. Lovely atmosphere too and music.

Called in for lunch today. The food was outstanding . Cod cooked to perfection, batter crunchy and not at all greasy. Husband had burger with pulled pork which he said was the best he has had. Landlady very attentive. Can't praise this establishment enough.

Only had a few drinks but good service, the food looked good that was being served. Will definitely book for food
