I recently visited Express Takeaways and was thoroughly impressed. The Fish and Chips were absolutely phenomenal, perfectly crispy and flavorful. It’s clear they use fresh ingredients and have perfected their recipe. The Seafood Box is another standout, offering a delightful variety of the freshest seafood, cooked to perfection! Ordered food from The Express Takeaway for a fish and chip supper for 16 people. Food was lovely and service was excellent.

Went in the other day and got the southern fried chicken which is always a delight, quite often get served by lowri who is always friendly and chatty

Tried the fried chicken salad wrap with garlic mayo for the first time. Very impressed. Freshly made and tasted great. Would highly recommend. 👍

The owner/manager is respectful and has good old fashioned manners which go a long way with me and my 90 year old mother, and if there is a better seafood box and chips out there, then I have yet to find it. That is why I am giving this business a 5⭐

My husband loves the fish from here, well its more like whale 🐋 !! I was served by a brilliant guy tonight ! I never took his name but he was brilliant.I have sensory issues and my food needs to be wrapped a certain way, never once did he complain and he was totally happy and understood my issues. The staff were very friendly and offered a warm, welcoming environment whilst also remaining professional. I ordered chips, cheese and gravy. I'm from the Isle of Man and this is a popular dish there. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely go again!

We have been using this chip shop for years, the last 2 times we have been, both times ordering cod we have been given haddock that we do not like, disappointing it keeps happening & paying for 3 cod meals will put us off ordering again.

I have long wished to share my feedback, as I find myself regrettably disappointed with my recent experience at your establishment. During my visit a few days ago, I encountered two individuals who deviated from the typical professionalism one would expect. Specifically, one worker, a wiry man, running around like a headless chicken. Appeared frenetic and unable to comprehend my order for scampi and chips, as well as a serving of cod for my brother and his 13-year-old daughter. Notably, this worker seemed more preoccupied looking at my brother's daughter, she felt really uncomfortableas he keot giving weird smiles and this is not the first time he has been flirty with her, and slso exhibiting a lack of focus on accurately taking my order. In an attempt to address this issue, I sought assistance from the other worker, a young lady, who spoke softly and offered little help, seemingly disinterested in her role at your establishment. Despite a wait of approximately 20 minutes, the food arrived cold. Furthermore, when asked if I desired salt and vinegar, the application of vinegar was excessive, requiring me to intervene and request moderation. To my dismay, the chips were evidently dry and contained hair from the worker's beard. Subsequently, I requested a refund and promptly departed. I shared this unfortunate incident with acquaintances, who sadly expressed no surprise at the behavior observed. Moreover, it was disquieting to learn from my friends that the owner in question, described as a bigger body build has a troubling history of inappropriate interactions with young girls, thus deepening my concerns regarding the caliber of personnel employed at your establishment. Adding to the unsettling atmosphere was the presence of a homeless individual loitering outside the premises, who disregarded social norms by urinating in close proximity to the store entrance. Such occurrences, coupled with the aforementioned disconcerting interactions, have led me to question the safety and professionalism exhibited at your establishment.

Best takeaway in Caerphilly. Greggs doesn't stand a chance on their bacon roll and the fish and chips and burgers are great too! So happy I live within walking distance.

Visit express chip shop on a regular basis as the cod is cooked fresh to order and is wonderful. The staff are so friendly, and prices kept low.highly recommend as I pass two other chip shops on my way there...they are the best in Caerphilly.
