Worst fish and chips I have had. It was a takeaway. I only live 5 minutes away.i Chips were white needed 5 more mins in the fryer. My cod was all crumbly batter, fish was hardly there and tepid.

Always good but don’t take card. Seriously after Covid who does not take card????

£24 for fish and chips for 2 people is a bit much.

Best chippy ive had in a while. Batter is nice and crispy fish is delicious and just the right amount of chips to a portion. Second time ive been and not been disappointed. Definitely my regular now

The best fish and chips for miles but, Christ, is it pricey! The owners wife has to ask him how much to charge for each piece of fish, but it's mostly cooked fresh. If you have a spare mortgage payment at the end of the month, spend it here. It's undeniably good but costly - more so than other chippies. I suspect its because they're so close to the station?

Super fresh and delicious Fish and Chips. I always get the Cod, as the batter and taste is superb. Cheaper to collect in person than order over JustEat by a few pounds! Currently priced at around £12 per person for Cod & Chips but the quality is always consistent. The owners and workers are kind, friendly and always give great portion sizes, just be sure to order in advance as they are always busy!

Great chippy that cooks to order so all the food is piping hot and the quality is consistent. Prices are reasonable compared to other local fish and chip takeaways. I definitely recommend for anyone in the Harold Wood area.

I’ve tried many chippys in the area but this chip shop is by far the best, haddock was lovely and fresh by far the freshest and best chip shop I’ve tried in east London Service is fantastic and love the welcoming vibe they give when you walk in

Fat, soft but not too soggy chips. Perfect! Few chip shops do proper chips nowadays. Highly recommended.

Went there once and won't be going back again. The fishcakes and chips were bad quality & colour - they clearly do not use good oil. The staff were dishonest - the couple who work there tried to charge me way more than the actual price, but I immediately noticed. They have done this to other customers too and pretend they mistyped the amount - beware. Worst fish & chips shop in this area.

Dishonest old guy! He always overcharges you and tries to short change you! Especially if you send kids to buy the food, he always without fail con you!! You have been warned! Please check your change and add up your order total

I ordered for lamb chops from the restaurant next door to The Chippy. They sold me a rotten smelly lamb. I was upset and went to return it. I walked into the Chippy and ordered for cod and chips. Lovely customer service, fresh chips, Tasty cod and they tasted yummy. Thanks a lot for making my day bright after my bad experience from the next door restaurant.

It’s the first time in a long time we have bought fish and chips, and this is our local, and I have to say it did NOT disappoint on any level.. the fish was beautiful!! ( and I am fussy about food ) chips lovely... perfect.. no complaints only compliments... thank you. We will be back, you’ve re ignited my interest in the good old british take away 😉👍

Good chips, can be hard to park sometimes

Submitted a large order of 3 meals and extras on Uber Eats, and only received one meal - around £30 of the order missing. When we complained, they claimed the order did not contain any of the missing items, then miraculously 'found' the order, and were extremely rude, and asked "well what do you expect me to do?" Will not order from them again.

Always great fish and chips along with the lovely people who run it, would recommend!

Is this a front for something else ?? The food looks like it goes in and out the fryer all day, I have been in there 5 times and walked out on 3 occasions due to unwelcoming staff and overcooked food-It’s not hard to address a customer and say hello etc... They have a lot of work to do in this place to even be recognised as a “chippie”in my eyes.

Never before have i waited so long in a takeaway. Seriously, it has to be a desperate occasion to make it worth the wait. Chips are usually slightly underdone and the portions are tiny, unless you're feeling flush enough to splash out £3.75 on a large portion of chips. Couldn't comment on the fish or kebabs; life's too short to wait for them to be cooked. They're probably ok, as long as you place your order in writing, 7 working days in advance.

£9.15 for 2 chips and a savaloy seems high for very average food - owner blaming Brexit, we haven't left yet!

Cod was overcooked. Asked for a large. Was very very small compared to what you get from fish and chick from hilldene avenue. Felt like i got ripped off. Wouldn't come here again anymore.

Haven a vegetarian burger there and wait 17 min to get that. In the end I couldn’t eat it. Horrible and very expensive

Paid £4.50 medium chips and sausage in batter.Im quite regular here as local chippy.Medium chips smaller than a small size and stone cold.Also sausage had a strange batter on which didnt look well.Thrown away will be walking past this place in future

Cold Kebab, went back to tell them and they wasn't even bothered, so told them to keep it and they didn't even offer a refund! Keep away to avoid Disappointing food!!

The last three times we have been here the chips were dry wrinkled tough and tasted like leather. They had clearly been left out for too long. The reasonwe tried 3 times is because we have been going there years its easier than going across the ardleigh green lights and most of the time its ok. But bad chips from a chip shop 3 times in a row is a joke.
