Good local chippy, prices seem slightly above average for the area. Foods decent, staff are nice.

I went the other day for a second time and it was lovely. The owner is friendly and a good laugh. 100% recommend!!

Went here a few days ago as all other chip shops closer was closed. Got to say food was great and menu looked decent, it's also a Chinese aswell as a chippy and I had no idea, had the key meals on the menu. I'm going to try this place next time we order a chinese. Oh and staff was friendly to :)

Super chip shop, with "loads" of choice, friendly and chatty.

Chips were fine but the cod was wrapped in 2 layers of batter. It looked large, but it was mostly batter. Getting into it was like cutting into cardboard. One of the worst value f&c I have had.

This place is absolutely banging food is delicious fresh and so tasty and the portions are excellent highly recommended I'm going back Friday for more TOP FOOD!!!

Just had our first Chinese meal from here this evening. Absolutely delicious. Thank you. The special chips they added as a freebe were very tasty.

I ordered 45 bags of chips for our swimming club and they went down a treat with all the children. Delicious...Nothing left!

Friendly staff, chips are lovely with good portions. I recently had a tray with half chips half rice with chicken balls and curry. Only disappointment was when my tray emptied. Well done guys your doing a great job.

It's a takeaway doing Chinese as well as normal chippy things. I have only tried a few Chinese dishes and they are really good!

Absolutely delicious I had a Singapore chow mein and asked for it to be extra hot they certainly did that it was very very nice , shrimp curry was delightful too and also had salt and pepper chips which were really really yummy in fact we didn’t want them to end .Well done ⭐️👍

Nice tasting chips wish the cod fish was a little more chunky even if you had to pay a little extra but batter was very tasty. Worth a visit.

Been coming here since I moved to Wainfelin and I've never been disappointed.Last visited on National Fish and Chips Day and we were given the best quality as always. Freshly cooked and always full of flavour.We won't go anywhere else now and my friend is from Port Talbot near the infamous Francos so you know that's an endorsement and a halfBetter than all the chains put together. It's not even close. And they serve rissoles too which is always unavailable when ordering from any other places.We'll be back very soon.

Been eating here for years. Always cooked freshly and always tasty. Stopped by last week late and was still welcomed in and a fresh fish and new chips cooked. My other half won’t eat anywhere else (and she’s from Yorkshire Whitby area , home of fish and chips).Covid measures are excellent. You won’t get better and great variety of foods.

Disgusting food not cooked properly pie was still dough on underneath no filling all dough staff very unhelpful .and very grumpy.

Stay away overpriced pies not cooked properly pastry all doughy no filling done in microwave fish tiny and overcooked batter tasted all greasy and batter rock hard

This is the best chippy ive been to!!! I pass 6 chippies to get there on a 50 minute round trip. The food is always freshly cooked. The Cod and chips are fantastic. I have also just tried their new battered rissole, it tasted surperb with their batter, even more flavour. The staff are friendly and the shop itself is clean and tidy with a hygiene rating of 5 which is something i always look out for. Highly reccomended.

Food gone down hill while price's go up. 6 chips per bag served by Pontypools most miserable man just isn't worth it. Page's much better.

Had fish and chips today fish was that thin think they used scalpel to cut it. first thought it was a rizzla paper in batter, chips rock hard not crispy just hard and chewy . The worst I've ever had

This is my regular fish and chip shop. Absolutely superb food and I got to be honest it’s the best chippy around!! I would recommend them to anyone.

50/50 here it's either really nice or just average. I have never had a bad experience here i appreciate the food is all cooked fresh and they do go the distance by checking the food temps ect. Like i said never have i had a bad meal from here but there has never been a time when i have never had to wait on chips or something else.

La próxima semana fuimos a un "fish and chips" por cerca. Uno de pescado era tan grande como el dos. Pedimos una papas fritas grandes y pequeñas, las patatas fritas pequeñas era más grande que las grandes, y las grandes bien muy grande. Triste, nuestro favorito "fish and chips", pero a menos que su partido le suelto de negocios.

On visiting this chippy on numerous occasions I've found staff to be consistent with their friendly customer service and warm smiles, chips are mountainous proportions and very tasty, all food cooked lovely too,,,, highly recommended, just a shame to be closed on Sundays

The Chippy has been a favourite in the High Street for years and years. The fish and chips I had last night were top class, the best I've had in years. As well as fish and chips they sell burgers, pies, sausage in batter, curry, you name it! Friendly professional service and the place is spotlessly clean. If you haven't been there already - why not?
