Every time we pass through Manchester with my husband we stop here!! The portion is generous and the IRISH curry sauce is amazing!!! 😭🔥🔥 It’s super good! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

The people workign were so nice and communivcated well, the food was top tier and the atmosphere was so cool. The only caviat was probably paying for sauces but other than that everything was soo cool and tasty.

Found this place last night (16/10/2025) as was staying over the road in the Premier Inn.... Guy serving was very engaging especially when he tried to mimic my southern accent (cockney) as he put it hahah.... Went with the Chip Doner with Chinese Curry Sauce... best £5.99 I've spent.... Loads of it, meat was melt in your mouth and the curry sauce was thick and authentic.... Service 10, Food Quality 10 and Value for Money 10

Friendly staff, good food and decent prices - what's not to like!! Nipped in looking for something filling to keep me going on a 3 hour train journey. Opted for the small fish and chips which was hot and fresh. The gentleman serving was fun to chat with. Sat outside, ate my dinner and headed back to the station. All in all a good experience

Can't really argue with the food my better half and son loved it and the English curry sauce (the sauce was tasty just abit too thick) It wasn't to my liking but I'm picky when it comes to fish and chips. I do think some improvements can be made. But look when you hungry straight off the train it's a decent chippy.

Great chip shop, had the regular fish and chips and was pleasantly surprised at the portion size! They also have different things on the menu such as peppercorn chips, will definitely be coming again!

Owner gave me extra chips for the fish. The portion was better than the stock market. Mushroom pie and scampi were awesome. Opens late on Sunday. Perfect for late dinner takeaways. As a tourist, I was impressed.

Great chips, the best curry sauce & portions are reasonable for the price. We've had 3 chippy teas from here in the past 2 weeks, and they are consistent in their quality. Highly recommend.

Great fish and chip shop close to the station. The service was excellent and the food is really tasty. The mini fish and chips was a decent portion so I can’t imagine how big the regular size is. Great value for money. Chips were delicious, as was the gravy. Will return next time I’m in the area!

I was looking for fish and chips closer to the train station. The atmosphere is not good, there is a queue of tourists, the service is disgusting, I had to wait 15 minutes, for example. Loud music plays inside this eatery, making it impossible to concentrate and relax. They don't have a haddock, just a code. They didn't give me sauce or tea. I paid 10 pounds and realized that I would not return here again. I don’t recommend it, look for establishments with a higher rating.

Excellent chips and mini fish from here today, chips were chunky and cooked to perfection, the mini cod was the perfect size and also delicious. Bossman behind the counter friendly and keen to know that we were enjoying our food. Definite hard recommend for this chip shop, I would go again.

If you’re looking for fresh fish and chips this is the place to be!!! Don’t even get me started on the Irish CURRRY - once you’ve tried it you will not go back 🤤 Open till late for the late night munchies 😅 Overall a great experience, staff are very friendly!! See you all there!!!!!

The portion was huge. We shared it as two people and were feeling super full. The gravy was gorgeous. The fish was super fresh and soft. Chips were great.

I am fuming with tonight’s food and I said battered sausage with chips and gravy then she didn’t give me gravy and 1 problem is there were 3 men being loud and swearing in the shop and the staff should have told them off for that and shouldn’t let ppl block the way and should had told them to be quiet and I think it’s absolutely rude!!! 😡😡 I won’t be coming back so thanks a lot!!!

We got the famous Kentucky chicken. Average. Potatoes parboiled in oil. Bad ones. Impersonal service. Like I was talking to a robot.

Just visited this chippy, I had fish and chips with mushy peas and a can of dandelion and burdock (as is required). It was lovely! Big portion, reasonable price especially considering it is next to the train station. Fish was crispy and thick, chips very good too. Nice staff. Definitely recommend.

Great fish and chips and great service.

Happened to stop here on Saturday evening. The wait was too long (about 12-15 mins), even then the chips didn’t seem fully cooked. Friends walked up to subway, had come back and half eaten their sandwich by the time I got a portion of chips.

40 minutes wait for 2 items when there was only 3 customers staff were too busy gossiping, expensive & order was missing items and cold. Had to return it all for a full refund

Popped in after a long train journey, Rare to get a chippy in the city centre. Even rarer to get a good one. Really friendly service, nice food. Even put crispy bits onto of a chip barm, don’t get that too often. Would recommend.

walked into this place and genuinely saw 3 rats run past me i was absolutely disguisting but i just ignored it i ordered my food and ended up throwing up after it never coming again waste of my money and time

Popped in on my way up to the station as I’d not seen this place before and chippies are few and far between in the city centre. Prices are brilliant for the location which drew me in when I took a look at the menu from outside. Great chips, thick cut with loads of surface area to get crispy, on a lovely soft barm. As others have said service is quite slow - I mistakenly assumed the chips would be ready to go as with most chippies, but they were fried to order when I visited. This is great as meant they were super crisp and hot, but as I was on my way up to get a train the 5/10 min wait for a chip butty meant I almost had to dash out. My own fault for assuming the chips would already be cooked, but as others have mentioned slow service and this is on the way up to the station, thought it’d be worth mentioning for those popping in for a quick bite.

Now my regular spot over others in the area as the chips reliably great and the service is friendly and good. Mini fish and chips is my go to and is great value for money too at £6.80

Really nice fish and chips, scallops etc. in a clean and busy location.

The person in front of me had just folded the fish, but mine was nothing like that and was small. The chips seemed poorly prepared and were a little sticky. I felt it would have been better to eat it at a restaurant with a little more. I went to buy it because I thought it looked delicious, but I was disappointed.

Waited over 15 minutes for one cheesy chips, which is really long for such a quick simple order. Other people were having to wait similar times and having to complain. After politely saying something myself I was given the order for the chips, the server was apologetic however my chips had a hair on them and overall it didn’t look appealing.

Nothing great about the chips , had to bin half of mine- gum jammers weren’t edible.. Mini fish & peas were ok however.. Service was good.

I have now been waiting nearly half an hour for my fish and chips which I already ordered and paid for. I know there were two fish cakes ready when I ordered because I could see them on the counter. I'm presuming maybe there's an issue with the chip fryer but I've had no apology from the manager and I'm sitting right next to the counter in full view of passers by. I'm disappointed because I had a warm welcome and it was reasonably priced. Hopefully my dinner will arrive soon as I'm absolutely really really tummy rumbling hungry.

Absolutely shockingly good food, could not eat Chips and Chinese Curry Sauce quick enough (the best of the 3 on offer), cooked to perfection. The Chips Cheese and Gravy were spot on too. Nice friendly service and yeah, some of the best chips we’ve ever had!

Service is slow. The girl on the counter looks like she doesn't want to be there. The food isn't nice, and the gravy is way too strong.

Super long wait for the Fish & Chips so no good if you want a quick bite. However it was rather nice so good things take time.

Cheese onion pie dried out must ave been sat there for 3 days pastry as hard as iron....chips appeared to be frozen and not fresh hard in the middle.....food was vile... truly disappointed!! Will never go there ever again!!

A new fish & chip shop right in the shadow of Manchester Piccadilly railway station. I ordered fish & chips to eat in at the fairly basic seating counter in the window (with seats a foot too low!). I wanted to see what the cod tasted like, so I didn't put any sauce on. Perhaps I should have, because although the freshly cooked fish was piping hot and a very good size, it didn't actually taste of very much - a problem I often get with cod. I'll definitely go back, but perhaps have a different fish or put one of the three different curry sauces available on it.

The service and atmosphere are second to none! The food however I was really disappointed. Ordered a large chips and it wasn't really large. For the price I expected a lot more. Had chicken nuggets which were okay, really hot even when I brought them back to apartment. Jumbo sausage was okay. The gravy however was absolutely superb!! Nice and thick just how it should be! I would try again just to be sure it wasn't a one off but for the money I spent, I expected better.

Highly recommend, we went in there after receiving a really poor order from the Village chippy. The guy (presuming the owner) was so helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and so fresh! Sampled the Irish curry too (please try)! We live in Belgium and want them to open one near us!

Next level quality, friendly service. Chunky Chips had been twice or even thrice fried, giving each one a glassy crunch that many roast potato chefs could only dream of. For the price, with City Centre overheads to deal with, this was nothing short of brilliant. Recommended.

Chip shops are becoming a rare thing in Manchester City centre, there are very few remaining, so it’s good to see a new one, and a very good one! Clean, modern, bright and friendly, with some nice options, such as Aloo Saag pie. Tried for the first time today and I’d say those are the best (chippy) chips I’ve had in years. Big thumbs up 👍 for this place

Visited yesterday evening and purchased two fish and chips, which was literally the BEST fish and chips that I've had in Manchester. The fish was still crispy when we arrived home, which is always a sign of good quality, freshly cooked fish.

This is a great addition to the food options around the station. Great staff and service and the portion sizes are pretty big. Nice variety of food available and it tasted decent, though left a not so great after taste.

I went here a couple of days ago (after setting up some business deals), prior to catching the train back to Bradford. Batter was absolutely perfect. Taste was top notch and chips were chunky not greasy.only issue would be, maybe a salt n vinegar station for customers to use and chips could be sorted a little more (less imperfections).

The fish was great, and the chips were a tad dry. The portion was more than generous to share. Outside seating was nice and readily available

Very good chippy, Chips made freshly, all products on display are visibly made fresh and sold probably within 5/10 mins of making them, Sausage was amazing, Chip barm with curry was immaculate. But best thing of all, the service by the brother behind the counter was second to none. Great customer service, will definitely be going back again, Little suggestion to bring some seats indoor, but understandable as it is a station unit which is very busy.
