The Chinese Experience in Lewisham

Disgusting. The food is disgusting. There is no other way to put it. Avoid at all costs. Everything was bad. I can’t think of even one good word.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. INCREDIBLY RUDE STAFF AND DISGUSTING ATTITUDE. So on the 7th April 2021 I ordered a meal which totalled to £25.70. Upon ordering I wanted to ensure that my special fried rice was spicy so I called the restaurant 7 mins after ordering. The rude lady answered and stated that the “driver was already on the way” this was obviously a lie as there is no way you made 1x Special fried rice 1x Salt and pepper wings 1x Crispy chilli beef 1x Seaweed and 1 portion of spring rolls in the space of 7 mins. The lady said “you must apologise to the driver” as he has now had to turn back due to you not leaving a note. I told her I am happy to apologise and will leave a note next time. She proceeded to state that “I don’t sound sorry” then hung up and practically threatened me to cancel my order. I told her I wanted the food but her attitude was outrageous. She then hung up. I called back and said I will be cancelling the order (which was places through Just eat). I cancelled the order and was charged 50% of my order amount (£12.85) in total. This is being disputed with my bank as the lady at This restaurant was unbothered by her actions. I am appalled by my experience and quite traumatised. I will never ever ever ever order from this place again and if you know what is good for you, you won’t either. I am now left HUNGRY and OUT OF POCKET. With nothing to show for it. A disgusting and horrible experience.

¡EVITAR! ! ! Solíamos pedir desde aquí con bastante regularidad ya que la comida está bien, es rápida y barata. ¡Nunca más! Recientemente entré y hice un pedido. La comida llegó muy rápido. El pollo estaba masticable y claramente poco cocido. Algunas piezas eran blandas, como pollo crudo y una pieza grande todavía estaba rosada en el medio (ver fotos). No pudimos comer la comida y se fue a la basura. Llamé para explicar y solicité cortésmente que reemplazaran la comida. El joven que contestó el teléfono fue útil, se disculpó y dijo que la comida sería reemplazada. Me pidió que esperara y luego hubo una acalorada conversación que duró unos 5 minutos. Una mujer mayor habló por teléfono y fue extremadamente grosera. Me llamó mentiroso, me dijo que el pollo no podía estar poco cocido porque está precocido (claramente no estas piezas) y que tendría que llevar el pollo a la tienda. Cuando pregunté si cambiaríamos la comida si lo hacíamos, me dijeron que no porque no podía estar poco cocida. Sintiéndonos enfermo, perdimos el apetito y 20 de su bolsillo. Esta no es una forma de tratar a sus clientes "valiosos". ¡Nunca más!

Usted debe tener esta experiencia de cocina china, absolutamente excelente Lo tengo entregado La señora respondió que el teléfono era muy educado y tomó el pedido perfectamente Y lo entregó a tiempo El pato era muy bueno y también las costillas de repuesto de estilo picos eran maravillosas. Muchas gracias por las galletas gratis y la botella de 1. 5 l Coca Cola que has enviado.

I only ordered because my usual Chinese refused to deliver that night but it turned out to be the best Chinese takeaway I've had in nearly four years of living in the area so likely my place of choice in future. Only downside was they ignored the message I sent them.

this was not a good meal i asked for no mushrooms what did i get mushrooms as I'm not aloud these i could not eat my curry and it was cold and the chips were full of oil i will think twice about ordering from here. as most takeaways you start of well then go down hill.

Disappointed with quality of food. We would have been fine if the delivery was just late and the food was amazing but it wasnt. Seafood curry had no seafood just mushrooms, egg fried rice was bland and dry (even the egg was brown from being overcooked), duck spring roll had the tiniest filling of duck. Veg spring rolls over priced for three. Messages were not followed on orders, we asked for one of the fried rice to have chilli but they put chilli in both. Very average

Reaaaaaally good. Definitely reccomend! If you like veg in the curry / dish as well as meat, just ask! I wrote in the comments for veg as well as chicken and the guys at the takeaway rung me and asked what veg, and made the most perfect curry! Thank you, so nice when you get an actually good takeaway :)

Waited 1 hour 40 minutes even after two phonecalls to the restaurant. I understand it was a busy Friday night, but then they should adjust their estimated delivery time accordingly. It's a shame because the food is always very good. Strange that this app still says it was delivered at 9:05 when in reality it was 9:35.

Soy vegetariano y para mí esta para llevar ofrece la mejor carne. Normalmente elegir tofu y cada vez son recién preparado, bien condimentado y entrega rápida. Algunos de los precios podría ser ligeramente más altos que en otros restaurantes, pero las porciones son generosas y también comida caliente cuando se entreguen, así que no me importa pagar un poco más por la calidad.

Our experience was good - outstanding and early. approx 15 minutes. Yum.

The food was delicious and hot, the food was not greasy, delivered fairly quickly and had loads of left overs for lunches will definitely order again.

Food on time, duck wrap starter was particularly good (full leg of duck not shredded!). Chow Mein noodles and fried rice were both a bit tasteless and greasy

it was very early and therefore the sacrifice of it being so early, was the quality.

I decided to try ordering somewhere different than usual and this place seemed to have good ratings. I was very disappointed. All of the food was extremely greasy, and lacking in any flavour, other than seriously overpowering garlic which everything was absolutely covered in. The driver was very polite and on time, and paid attention to my delivery requests.

Chicken was a bit soft but everything else was stunning.

It's the little things, like being generous with the cucumber and spring onion in the aromatic duck, that really make a difference. Great food!

explicitly told restaurant which doorbell to press on arrival, yet the driver still managed to disturb my neighbour. received notification of food on its way within 10 mins of order but then didn't receive food for another 40 mins. but was good tasty food so, I'll let them off the hook :)

We received confirmation of order and delivery from this local take away only 15 minutes later! Everything was hot and seemed fresh. Shame the delivery driver burst through our garden gate and didn't close it on leaving. However he was polite. We had crispy tiger prawn rolls, salt and pepper spare ribs, char siu szechaun and crispy chillie beef for just over £20 Recommended

Unbelievably fast delivery time - felt like 20 minutes!

Have been ordering from these guys on and off over the years with varying degrees of satisfaction. Today the Peking dumplings were a bit soggy (they haven't been before) and there was no ginger in the vinegar & ginger dipping sauce. The Kung Po chicken and egg fried rice were pretty good as usual. Delivery time, order accuracy and delivery driver courtesy all perfect.

Everything was perfect. I didn't have to wait for my food when I was collecting. Food was delicious and absolutely tasty. I will come back!

Crispy duck wasn't crispy and was very fatty. Spring rolls were like none I had tasted before, and the crispy beef was really chewy. Really disappointed as had read other reviews which had been very positive

My food came 20 minutes early, however the food was bland, in fact it had no flavour whatsoever. To make matters worse the delivery driver was rude and told me not to order again because they don't usually deliver to my area . But don't worry I won't be ordering again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To sum it up, the quality of the food did not justify the price I had to pay.

The crispy shredded beef was chewy, like it had been left in its sauce for a couple days before being warmed up in the microwave hence the fast delivery time. Sweet and sour sauce was bland and runny as though the original batch had been stretched with the aid of water. Noodles were just tasteless. Just eat should have a blacklist option so you can eradicate take aways like this one, i do not want to make this mistake again!

Really happy with service, arrived half hour ahead of schedule via very friendly delivery man. Some of the food was amazing like the crispy seaweed, the prawns and the sauce with the veggie spring rolls - hot hot! The tofu dish smelt awesome but the tofu was a bit like cardboard and my boyfriend said his peking dumplings were chewy and didn't taste fresh. However, we will certainly order again and try different dishes, also the extra 7up was very appreciated - thank you! :)

2nd time ordering - great food! Salt + chilli chicken yummy. Losing 1 star this time as they didnt read the notes which meant I got pain chow mein noodles instead of vermicelli. Previous order they read the note.
