There service is so bad , they are very disorganised , they have disgusting food & they are very dirty and filthy, i witnessed a staff covering a filthy table with a cloth and place a customer there. & the food is 0/10 bottom tier food. Will never ever step foot in there again.

Had the worse experience here today and I’m so upset, the food was disgusting bland, like no flavour at allllllll and they even gave me raw chicken I was so disappointed and upset as I spent £57 + service charge thst made it £63 , bad service bad food & it looks very run down and disorganised in there.

Good dim sum, decent roast pork belly and char Sui. Polite professional service, relaxed and in-depth knowledge of the dishes. As good as anywhere in China town, if a little old fashioned- personally I like that about it. Wide variety of Vietnamese and various regional Chinese dishes

We had wedding party there. The food is average, the service is very bad, no understanding English. The food was taken away before it finished yet and without asking. The toilets were very dirty.

If I could give 0 stars I would the food at this place was appalling, there was no seasoning VERY dry it was also very cold I’m not over exaggerating but i honestly thought that this was just some random food that they had left over thrown in a plate and barely heated up. The waiter was also very reluctant to take our food back in and reheat it she even brought someone else to try and back her up by saying the food was warm eventually she took back the one plate that we didn’t want reheated and it was barely warm when we got it back 😂. And I honestly think me and my two children got food poisoning

Nothing wrong with flavour- food was just stone cold, was still cold when I asked for a fresh “hotter” one. Heat wasn’t evenly distributed because it was clearly just re-heated in a microwave. Hope I don’t get food poisoned…

I applied for a job in this shop, and the boss asked me to show him how to clean the table and how to hold six plates with one hand, including bowls, cups, and spoons. The salary was eight pounds per hour. I said I'm sorry and this job is not suitable for me. Me, I left, and then the boss felt that I was embarrassing him, and he followed me all the way and told me that many people were applying for the job. I said, let them do it. He said their salary was 800, and I said I wouldn’t accept one thousand. I did it, but the boss spat at me and hit me. Someone saw it and they asked me to call the police. I didn’t call the police, but this store is a black shop. Don’t go there easily. It’s so scary. Applied in this shop, the boss asked me to show him how to clean the table, and how to hold six plates including bowls and cups and spoons in one hand, the salary was eight pounds per hour, I said sorry, this job is not suitable for me, I left, and then the boss felt that I made him lose face, followed me along the way, saying that many people apply, I said, then you let them do it. Been coming here for years and I can say I am absolutely appalled by the food it was shocking, everything was cold when it came out, the duck was basically cremated the curry was watery and the list goes on, the staff are very rude then have an audacity to slap on a service fee when they don’t even provide a good service! They need a new chef or they need to do something different because it was awful

Very limited parking onsite but there are plenty residential areas nearby. The place is very big and can cater for large scale events. Food is decent but there isn't another in the area so you can get your Chinese food fix here.

Eaten here on numerous occasions and ordered takeaway a few times and it’s up there with the best Chinese I’ve ever had. My partner, family and friends all agree. The food is fresh and so tasty, there’s a huge variety to choose from and the all you can eat price is very reasonable for what you get. The only downside is that the service can be a slow some times but the food makes up for it.

DO NOT GO HERE. The whole place was chaos and the staff were so rude, shouting at customers. We waited 30 mins to be seated before they sat a group of 10 before us. The waiter kept justifying it by saying "It's 10!" There was a private booking going on and the manager was arguing with the customer as they clearly had an understanding that they'd booked out the whole venue but the rest of the restaurant had hoards of people standing around in chaos waiting for a table!

Forget about having dinner here. Absolutely abysmal quality, below par, expensive and zero atmosphere. On site car parking was a mess - the management saw fit to block customers' vehicles in. For this price point you may as well commute into Chinatown and paint the town red.

I stumbled on this place last week when in the area and HAD to return again today for the Dim Sum.. Hong Kong City has a FULL dim sum menu that even puts some of China towns dim sum restaurants to shame. Very well priced, freshly made and delicious.... I'll be back at the same time next Thursday... 😋😋

I always love coming here to dine in and always enjoy all their food! I recommend this restaurant if the food are fitted for their price. Staffs are super friendly and treat me super well! Lots of parking space to park. I’ll always come back with high expectation

Haven’t been here for many years (when dim sum was only around £2-3 range!) and I heard it’s now under new management. A very quiet day for the business today. Very empty even around 1pm but from what I know this restaurant is usually packed during the weekends. Food is pretty good for the price at £4.80-£6 per steamer. However, various meats were a bit on the red side even though they were fully cooked - over marinated? Staff were friendly. Fried beef ho-fun had good “wok hey”, however the noodles were a bit too “al dente”, beef wasn’t dry which is good. The Vietnamese spring rolls, prawn cheung fun and fried cuttlefish cake were pretty good. Peashoot prawn dumplings were good. Overall not much overpowering flavours, not too salty, not much msg. The restaurant floor could do with a bit of cleaning.

Go during Mon - Sat for dim sum. Lots off families go on Sunday. Food was decent, not high end but reasonably delicious. The fried food was not too heavy - especially the squid. Recommend to get the dough Cheung fun and try the Thai style chicken feet! Expect to pay around £30-£35 per person.

Good Chinese food for money you pay very nice professional staff. Maybe the interior needs an update.

Food was very tasty, but for sure wasn't really fresh. The service was so so, just the last waitress was nice just smiling and helping us. We asked for recommendations and specialities and they don't even understand us. The atmosphere was weird, quiet, not music or anything, empty place, just 2 tables eating and the menu a bit confusing.

Staff were really friendly and efficient, the price was really reasonable and the restaurant is really nice once you’re inside. But I’m mainly leaving this review because of the food; I’ve eaten in a LOT of Chinese restaurants and I have to say this is some of the best food I’ve had. There were 7 people in our party and every one of us agreed the food was exceptional. We were all very happy. Thanks Hong Kong City.

This isn’t a place that would get 5 stars for decor with its cheesy neon signs and ageing interior, but the food is top quality. Friendly staff and decent pricing all come together to make an enjoyable evening of delicious eating. Great for sharing especially with kids who love Chinese. Recommended.

We had dim sum here on a Sunday. The prices have shot up (as has everywhere else) but still slightly more affordable than Chinatown. Some highlights were the fried squid and beef ho fun. Service has also gone downhill. There were plenty of tables available even during peak time on Sunday, which was a sad sight as the place used to be bustling. Parking remains an issue, limited spaces.

I have been there a few times 2 decades ago whilst in Uni, it was better than it was yesterday but over the years I've been to several oriental restaurants and in comparison. They're just okay 👍

Dim Sum: slightly cheaper than other restaurants; some r nicely done, some aren't, 50/50 Vibe: Perfect phoenix & dragon deco + red head tables wedding banquet setting, which is disappearing even in Hong Kong Service: though most of them don't chat in Cantonese (i.e. floor not serviced by Hong Kongers/sb from a Cantonese background), the efficiency resembles that of Hong Kong; won't interact much with diners unless u actively ask (what some might find cold/inattentive); tablecloth might be stained; WC is wet and might smell a bit... nevertheless, it's all these little imperfections that bring out the Hong Kongness of this restaurant. I'd rather have them keep everything as is

Went here with some friends one afternoon and it was so good and fresh. Service simple and efficient. Lemon chicken was incredible. We loved everything!

Too much Christmas Turkey saw us head to HK City for some Boxing Day Dim Sum and so glad we did - the food was exceptional and I can really recommend this place. Inside is cavernous with full tables of young and old Asians, with many multi- generational families - it was really buzzy. The Dim Sum is great and comes quickly, the cheung-fung is top notch.

My friends and I was given a table in a very short amount of time and the staff were quite friendly and nice.

Our first time here but won’t be the last. The menu is varied and includes a great range of dim sum. We had the roast duck and chicken combo and it was excellent, really good flavours. The fried rice was fresh and light and not at all greasy. Finished with a serve of fresh and well cooked Chinese broccoli. Everything was excellent. Possibly the best choice of wine to suit everyone but what’s on offer is well priced. Definitely recommended.

Food is absolutely disgusting. Chicken was raw. Service was terrible. Never experienced such rudeness in my life. There was poor lobsters swimming in green water with a full Resturant view. £20 per person for all you can eat, however paid nearly £68 for two people plus two cokes :/ AVOID AVOID AVIOD!!!!

When we arrived we was told that the prices had gone up again and the new menu was all you can eat for £20 a person. We ordered a mixture of six different dishes and a couple cokes, as we eat we realises there’s a birthday party going on and wanted to take our food home, as I went over by the kitchen to ask for our take away containers I saw the manager whom is semi elderly Asian man spit in a soup he was preparing to bring out, I immediately told him and everyone that could hear that I saw him do this and they asked me to pay for my food and leave, I went over and told the birthday party behind what had happened along with everyone else in the restaurant and we all decided to leave. The bill they tried to charge me was for £67 :s - i paid £20 x 2 for the food so £40 and gave him another £5 for the cokes- total amount £45. So they tried to charge me a extra £25 because I caught them. NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.

A family of thirty attended the restaurant which was previously booked 2 weeks prior. We started arriving but I don't think they realised we were a family of colour. The manager demanded to speak to my son and said the charge has gone up for our tables as he doesn't know if we will pay. He was the only one who started shouting and being very rude. We just wanted to know why the sudden change. We sat down and waited for our food. I went to the gents when I witnessed the same manager cough on the plates of food he was carrying, watched it being placed on one of our tables and with that we left. Never in my life have I witnessed such bigotry in a restaurant and want others to realise it's not all its seems with people of colour if your face doesn't fit. It was all about money in this circumstance.

If I could give a rating less than 1 then I would. The visit itself was manic and extremely disappointing. My friend and I visited with our daughters and noticed immediately that the staff were extremely rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. Due to a wedding they had music on (techno music), however the music gradually became louder and louder and in the end so noisy we were unable to hold a conversation as we couldn’t hear each other. We had to get out of our seats in order for us to get service as all staff would walk by, even when they saw you trying to get attention. When we mentioned we wanted the buffet they made our daughters stand up in the middle of the restaurant, and measured them to make sure they’re not over the child’s height. They’re 9 & 10 and both felt extremely embarrassed about having to do it. After food we wanted to leave ASAP due to such a bad experience, but again we kept being ignored. We then had to get up and walk around trying to find someone so we could pay the bill. Bill paid and left, however a couple of days later noticed that the full bill amount had been taken twice. I called them and they asked to send over proof so sent a screenshot of account, they then said wasn’t good enough so took statement to the shop and again was told this was not good enough and they need to wait for the manager. It went back and forth for about half an hour, and ended in them refusing to refund my money, despite me physically taking the proof to the restaurant myself and told me if they do refund it will take 2 weeks. In the end I had to contact my bank to get my money returned as Hong Kong city refused to help and refund my money. NEVER AGAIN!

Come here for my daughter’s birthday food was cooked quick and was tasty, the customer service was great and we was very satisfied with our visit and will be returning.

Four of us went for a birthday buffet meal. Staff were very helpful & attentive. We had lots starters like Chicken Satay & Duck Pancakes & Ribs. Mains were Sweet & Sour Chicken, Chicken Curry & Shredded Chilli Beef. All cooked very nice. Can't wait to return again for a feast. Recommended.

Very spaces Oriental restaurant serving great Chinese foods, buffet all you can eat with reasonable price. They have range of drinks including alcohol. Friendly Vietnamese & Chinese staffs, location isn't great but if you have car you may find off street parking, bus stop nearby, nearest station is New Cross London. Wheelchair accessible, toilet for male / female separately but not clean, they accept wedding/ birthday/ anniversary celebrations up to 40 tables with karaoke. It's sad due to COVID-19 the town is lockdown again. Therefore we order takeaway foods from HK city.

Drove past this place many times in the past, decided to stop and try it out. Ohhh I should have carried on driving past. Rude staff, poor service, cold bland food. Do yourself and your wallet/purse a favour swerve this place.

Authentic, family friendly. The food is what you would expect if you were eating in China, I wouldn't go anywhere else with my family. Recently celebrated 2 family birthdays here including my son who was visiting here from China and he was extremely impressed!!!

We waited an hour before a waitress came to our table. The food came up in drips and drabs. One of our party ordered plain rice which come a good half hour after the mains were served. We had to go to the bar to get our own drinks. Up on payment they tried to charge our 10 year old full adult price even though he had a couple of duck pancakes and few spoon fulls if their cold egg fried rice. Plus they still had the neck to charge for service in the bill. Never again. Terrible staff. Rude and very slow. Shame, it had the makings of a great night. Left feeling ripped off. If I ordered £64 worth of Chinese food at home we'd be eating it for a week. Very, very disappointing. No rating at all

I have been visiting this establishment for sometime now, I live at the opposite side of London but I will come at least once a month for its dim sum. The quality of the dim sum is even better than those I’ve had in Hong Kong!

i went especially out of my way to get crispy noodles. I had gone the Sunday and my son ordered these crispy noodles and they were delicious. Today we both ordered the same 'crispy noodles' I should have known better when the waiter repeated twice 'chicken noodles? i repeated twice 'NO, Crispy noodles'! even my son said make sure they are crispy. We live 10 min drive away and when we opened the boxes they were clearly not crispy! it was so disgusting that we put straight in the bin, They were dry and burned from being stir fried dry! We will not be going back! if it was closer i would have taken it back to get the money back. Not cheap! would have got the same noodles in the £10 deal and maybe the other 2 dishes could have been edible.

He estado visitando HKC los últimos 10 años por dim sum, aunque no en los últimos años.Había reservado una mesa para 16, que incluía a tres generaciones de mi familia de 8 a 85 años. Se suponía que era una celebración de cumpleaños para mi hijo, sobrino y sobrinita.En primer lugar, nos dieron dos mesas separadas, que tuve que pedir para armar.Pedimos una mezcla de platos principales y SOLO los entrantes del menú vegetariano. Sin embargo, siguiendo a los entrantes, recibimos el resto de los platos del menú fijo que no habíamos pedido y luego de 30 minutos llegaron los platos separados que habíamos pedido. Cada vez que señalamos que esto estaba mal y que había tres veces la comida que podíamos comer, hubo muchas consultas entre los camareros, luego un encogimiento de hombros y nada cambió. La comida desordenada seguía llegando. Más encogimiento de hombros: nadie parecía tomar posesión de su error.Después de estar totalmente exasperado por los encogimientos de hombros y las conversaciones entre los camareros y para evitar estropear aún más nuestras celebraciones de cumpleaños, así como para no molestar a nuestros miembros mayores de la familia, pagué 368. 80 factura y se fue! Seems to have gone down the pan somewhat.Used to have two types of eat as much as you like menu.Now only the expensive one.Chicken wings tasted and looked re fried, pork dumplings took nearly half an hour to arrive and then they were just a smelly type of sausage meat. Las porciones eran pequeñas y la camarera recomendó a mi novio que no pidiera carne de cerdo porque 'muchas personas siempre la dejan en el plato. 'Nos dio una gran porción de arroz para una persona. Me sentí mal perdiéndolo y pedí tenerlo en una caja y se negaron.No creo que 18 por persona entre semana todo lo que pueda comer valga la pena a menos que realmente quiera más de tres platos (que es MUCHA comida). Ordene el 3 por 10 para llevar en su lugar y obtenga porciones decentes.

As soon as we finished ordering what food deal, they wanted to charge us service charge before we got food or service!?! I have never gone somewhere and they are forcing us to pay service charge before the service I found that weird but at the time I was thinking maybe that’s the new thing. (This is what topped it for me) So because I was thinking I had lack of knowledge of this all I said nicely with a smile was why can’t we pay for service charge after we get the service and he rudely said if you don’t like and don’t want to pay there is the door. I was so shock because nothing was provoked or anything I was just asking a question. I felt so sad because I never thought that was a unfair question and I don’t go restaurants often so that was surprising for me. Unless customer service change I doubt I’ll visit there again.

My husband and I ate here today. Food excellent. Service really good. Friendly staff. Everything was good. The only thing we were not so happy with was young children running all over the restaurant. Will go again but not on a Saturday or school holiday

Had a booking and waited for 40 mins, the staff were rude. We tried to explain we had a booking and no one listened. Asked four different staff members to explain to them that we had a booking so that we didn’t have to wait in the line, they were all very rude with their responses and when we finally spoke to someone - they were dismissive, rude, and shouting. At the end we just left. Waited 40 mins just for rude staff. Why give someone our money if they’re just going to be rude.

large and spacious Chinese restaurant in south east London. We went for a family dim sum lunch and the food was very good. The staff were attentive and a a true recommendation, as it became full, about 75% were Chinese from the local area.

Teníamos una reserva para un grupo de 18. Nos pusieron en mesas separadas y mientras que una mesa se sirvió, la otra fue básicamente ignorada. Al principio era cómico, pero en última instancia, el servicio era inexistente, la actitud del personal y el gerente diabólicos. La comida era normal, algunos estaban fríos y la mayoría de nuestros pedidos no aparecían. El gerente culpó a todos, desde las nuevas camareras a un gerente anterior. Quién era él, no lo sé, pero espero que sus oídos estuvieran ardiendo. Estoy haciendo caso omiso de lo que era una situación ridícula, ya que dos de mis invitados se fueron con el servicio de mala calidad. Tuve mi mamá y mis compañeras, y una de ellas se sintió tan mal con la frialdad de la habitación. Los entrantes (los que en realidad recibimos) estaban bien, pero los platos principales no eran muy buenos. Le he dado al restaurante una calificación de una estrella como un punto negativo, pero decir que arruinó un cumpleaños número 50 es una subestimación. El personal es grosero y la comida era normal. ¡EVITAR EN TODOS LOS COSTOS! ! !

Celebrated my mums birthday today and she enjoyed herself! We all enjoyed the starters more than the main meals but overall great value for 5 guests. Staff were slow to respond at first, but overall very good. Will definitely visit again

If you love dim sum this is definitely the place to go. Great selection and value for money. It gets really busy so be prepared to wait especially at the weekends. There is also the choice of set Chinese menu as well. Lovely ambiance with friendly staff. Very small on site carpet, with parking in the surrounding roads. Dim sum only available until 5pm and thereafter it's your usual Chinese menu.

La mejor comida china que tuve es este restaurante. He estado en muchos restaurantes en mi vida. Pero éste es clásico. No es muy caro si uno puede evitar bebidas. La ubicación es buena. Pero para aparcar su coche es difícil. Mejor ir en autobús. Puedes comer en paz. La comida de mar es genial.

Nosotros, como familia, hemos visitado este restaurante durante años y solía ir regularmente para cualquier celebración de cumpleaños. Nos cambiamos de zona y decidimos volver anoche y estaba absolutamente indignado con toda la experiencia. Parece que ha habido un cambio de dirección.

This restaurant is EXCELLENT. I used to leave near the venue so ate there all the time: New Year, Birthdays and Valentine's Day. I also ordered food to take out, especially the Lobster, which is, frankly, THE BEST IN LONDON, PERIOD. The lobster is bigger, nicer, well-cooked and served far better than most places I have been in London who serve lobster (and I think I've tried them all over the years). The ambience in the restaurant is lovely, the people who work there are lovely and I would recommend Hong Kong City to everybody who wants to taste authentic, excellent, Chinese food.

Okay, so the food was great. However, there one of the waitress was really rude. The rest of the staff was lovely though. The manager was nice and understanding. I would give it 4 stars were it not for that lady.

Went here with a group for my Mother in Laws birthday. Probably the 3rd or 4th time we've been. We were shown to our table, which once we sat down realised was in a howling draft from the door. The place was very soon heaving for Chinese New Year.

This is a regular of my relatives. They come here as it’s convenient for decent enough chinese food instead of trekking into Chinatown.

What an awful experience at this restaurant. The owner came to me when I was half way through my dinner, shouting in my face in front of the whole restaurant to move my car. When I re-entered the restaurant I told a manager that I was unhappy with the service I had received and asked for the bill. He bought me the full bill, which I took up to him and explained that I was disappointed they'd done nothing to rectify my poor experience nor shown any good will. A waitress then took my partners card and said "it doesn't matter". I couldn't believe my ears. I repeated back "did you say it doesn't matter that we had a poor customer experience?" She said "no, it doesn't matter". On my way out I saw the boss who'd shouted at me before. I told him that we wouldn't be back and he said "it doesn't matter if you don't come back".

Always had a lovely meal! Friendly welcoming. Good with atmosphere specially when an event is on. Never rushed. Quick service. Good with kids. Never had a bad time here and always will return. Staff remember my family.
