Our regular go to takeaway. Food always fantastic and have found in general if/when there has been any sort of issue, they’ve been great at fixing it. Good choice menu, decent portion sizes, usually always on time. Definitely one of the best in the area.

The Chinese food is way too good since you can get some free things if your order is a lot of money. And you should get fortune cookies since they are soo good

This is my favourite Chinese restaurant in the Borough of Lewisham. I've been using them for at least 15 years. When I worked nearby, I would eat in for lunch and regularly get deliveries from them. I found other restaurants so disappointing, in comparison that I rarely order Chinese food if New Winner is closed. They also follow my order notes.

Been going there for more than a decade; theyve gone downhill. The mixed meat noodles was ok, given raw dumplings, I would avoid if you dont want to get poisoned and die.

Always friendly, but the food is not great, no consistency. Had a really vinegary Kung Pow.

Me and my colleagues used to order lunch from here at least 2times a week and to be honest it is always hit and miss sometimes really tasty other times the food didn’t taste fresh.last time I ordered from there I had to bring the food back.I ordered bbq duck n pork rice as soon.everything seemed fine until I took a mouthful and wondered what the strange smell was after further inspection I realised the rice had gone off and carefully covered with loads of duck ,pork and sauce I literally threw up the whole mouthful.I brought the food back at 5pm when they opened for the evening and demanded my money back .I received my refund and left .A friend of mine then ordered the same meal and yes ,you guessed it .They tried to give the exact same container I had just brought back to their next customer (my friend)even after admitting and apologising for the gone off rice.I definitely will never go back as they don’t care that they could be poisoning their customers

Over cooked and shrivelled beef. The noodles were not seasoned well, it was very greasy and salty.

Me an my brother has eaten a takeaway from New winner for the first time, it was the best Chinese we had from when we was little, it's taken me 36 years to find a good Chinese takeaway, an the delivery nan was friendly,my brother is from Plymouth an he said it's the best Chinese he's ever had,will done to the chief 😋

Great Singapore Fried Rice and very tasty Curry Sauce. Staff are always friendly.

I placed an order and requested no onions when I received order raw onions were all over init I called up and made a complaint a very rude lady came on the phone and tried to argue with me she was very rude disgusting attitude and iam a regular customer I will never order from this place again

FYI Cash only! Ordered crispy noodles and mix meat it came pretty fast, the majority of the meat was nice and soft but the pork was chewy and rubbery and the sauce was lacking abit of flavour. Not the best but not the worse I've ever had

This is by far the best Chinese take away i've had in South East London. The food is always hot and fresh if i get it delivered (usually via just eat) its always quick when i go to collect. i eat here weekly, Friday night routine is dinner from here and mostly go and collect. The couple that run it are so nice and friendly and i always feel welcome. My favourite for a lunch time meal is smoked shredded chicken. Most recent order of veggie duck, peking ribs, salt and pepper prawns and chips and kung po chicken last Friday was so fresh and tasty - always good quality and balance of meat and veggies, i dont always eat meat and find it a good place for veggie options. my only complaint is i wish i could have this food in a sit down restaurant as its amazing. Thanks for continued great food and care. Happy 2022 to you all.

The area is lacking for decent Chinese takeaway, suffering from the standard cut-and-paste menus and bad quality. Fortunately, New Winner is here and does a great selection of all the classics with it's own flare. Really tasty, and we didn't feel like we'd just chugged a litre of cooking oil!

I'm not one to write a review but this restaurant had awful customer service. I wanted to cancel the order and they had the cheek to tell me they couldn't cancel the order even though I asked to cancel a few minutes after my purchase. There was no reason they couldn't cancel it.Tthey just chose not to so they could take my money. Appalling and embarrassing.

The food took over 3 hours to arrive and was stone cold when it did eventually turn up. The food was average at best. I'd recommend avoiding this restaurant. Addendum - Felt ill for about 20 hours afterwards too.

Amazing food! Our favourite dishes are the char sui buns, sweet and sour prawn balls and the special chow mein with udon noodles. Their menu is wonderful; you can choose different types of noodles and flavours of rice for most dishes, which makes the great dishes even better! In addition, the customer service is outstanding. My husband and I have nut/peanut allergies and they're always patient with us over the phone answering any questions we have. Also, they ALWAYS answer the phone when we call....which I can't say about most places.

Good tasty food and quick service

Quick and polite service. Food was amazing. Loved it. Really nice portions. Price was a bit steep compared to others places I've been to but then again the food was way better. I guess you get what you pay for. 100% recommend

We tried the egg fried rice with stir fried beef. The beef is a little salty but is really tender. The sweet and sour chicken with rice is also really good! Also ordered the nasi lemak set with stir fried chicken. This combination of the coconut rice with that stir fried chicken sauce is amazing. If any singaporean or malaysian are craving this, give it a try! The combination is very interesting. If you eat the rice alone there is only a subtle coconut fragrance. You need to eat it together with the stir fried chicken and then you will taste the full nasi lemak taste! Not sure how they did it. But the entire meal served its purpose. Will order it again.

Very disappointed with my order... the only thing that smell nice was the onions. Chicken wings standard very poor for 5.80 the prawns taste like rubber and the noodles to salt and didn't taste fresh a waste of £16.00 plus I travel to get this food. Won't be buying from there again

Regularily eat from New Winner, good food delivered on time. However just tried to use ALLEAT app... god awful thing, took 15 mins and failed to process an order, ordered by phone, came in £4 cheaper... phone in!

Appalling service, they get your order wrong and don't care when you call to complain. They take your money and don't give you what you paid for and just expect you be okay with it. I've never been more insulted by a takeaway service.

Love the food here. Chinese food can be a bit hot and miss around my area, but the food here, is always lovely. I would definitely recommend it

I'd give this a five star if the portion was as good as everywhere else. I ordered a combo meal and sadly it was not full to the top. This use to he the best in taste and the lamb never tasted of much.... I traveled 4 miles for this too. This will be my first and last meal from New Winner.

Oh dear - I think the chef has changed. Food was somewhat bland and tasteless. Quite an achievement for Chinese food. They seem to be messing around with the portions as well; I opened the foil container and it was half empty! Ok but it used to be the best. Now it's also ran.

Food fine but not very authentic

I normally go to mai Hong but that's now shut on Sunday's so went to this place we'll never ever again it's disscusting the veg in the curry are rock hard the chicken under cooked !!!! Threw in the bin bit happy at all £15 down the drain!!!!!!!

The only one star review I've ever given. Worst kinder surprise ever. This was the third time ordering from New Winner. As I was eating my Pad Thai, I took a mouthful, and almost choked on what appears to be a plastic bottle-cap/ lid (I don't think that's meant to be in the recipe- wbu?). On calling the restaurant they seemed apologetic at first, until I requested a refund, as I could no longer eat my Pad Thai, and my partner couldn't stomach hers (not sure if due to fear of the dangers of her Pad Thai, or because I'm so angry and disgusted it's put her on edge). We called Just Eat, who also called the restaurant, and the restaurant only agreed to refund 50%. They said there's no way the bottle cap could've come from their restaurant as there were no bottles there without lids. So we're just waiting for the lid-less plastic bottle to appear in someone's Malayan Coconut Rendang, to prove our case. (NOTE: if you've found a plastic bottle in your Malayan Coconut Rendang, please let me know). Everything being said, we are very shocked, as this is clearly a severe choking hazard, and there could have been very serious consequences. (Consider for example somebody eating alone, a vulnerable person or a child). We are very disappointed with the reaction from the restaurant, who hardly acknowledged the severity of their mistake. Mistakes can happen, however their lack of responsibility we feel cannot be forgiven.

Quite possibly the worst Thai food we've ever tasted. How you can go spectacularly wrong with a Pad Thai is beyond me. Excessive use of coriander in both dishes, barely even resembled Thai food. Spring Rolls were soggy and tasteless too. Will never order from here again.

Definitely not a winner! Pad Thai noodles were not all the same colour, most likely because they were not mixed in well. Shrimp in the Pad Thai was overcooked. Egg fried rice was dry and had no spring onions in it. Would not order again from this restaurant.

Definitely in the top 3 of the worst meals I've had. Pad Thai resembled nothing near Pad Thai. The green curry was grainy and tasted awful. Truly terrible meal. All delivered after over 1hr 25 mins. So hungry by the time it came that we just ate whatever we could stomach. If you have even a passing interest in taste then I wouldn't bother ordering from here.

Absolutely terrible, just had some food delivered through Just Eat and the problem is I couldn't eat it ! Disgusting cannot believe how bad its gone used to be really good there but wow what a difference, food tastes like its gone off not fresh .....daughter called to complain they had the cheek to deny it was them till we told them our order number !!! had chicken and black bean sauce one of my favourites not good very peculiar taste like cleaning agents.... used to be real good this new winner new chef perhaps? Sorry but not again for me not pleasant at all. Cant comment on the rest as my wife and daughter are at work and they will have to judge for themselves. Me though not happy !!

Genuinely the best prawn crackers around. Good price. Pad thai was a bit wet but delicious and green curry was a bit chalky but we did finish the lot. Will choose different items next time but happy to order from here again.

The food arrived early. Everything was tasty apart from the Thai green curry which was very watery. A real shame
