Please take into consideration when ordering here that they have changed hands, they reopened with different owners 2 weeks ago. I just placed an order over the phone to be greeted by a miserable younger man. We repeated the order twice to ensure that it was correct and it still ended up being wrong. Asked for the price on the phone, was told the wrong price too. Had to run to a cash point to withdraw more money but wish we didn’t bother because despite the fact we weren’t sent our rice we were told we would have to pay £7 to have it made and delivered 🤦🏻‍♀️ by the same lad who was miserable when taking our order. Told him to just forget it but not much you can do with a Chinese order without the main component of rice. Shocking customer service. I will personally not be ordering again. The chicken satay skewers were good but the rest of it was mediocre at best, or that could be down to the fact it was getting cold on the porch whilst we had to get more money. Place an order at your own risk but just know if the lad on the phone gets it wrong you’ll have to pay the difference to get what you want 👎

Lovely chinese. Dined in. Meal very good piping hot. Had two curries freshly cooked.Staff very friendly. Well worth a visit.

The food was delicious and service was great. Reasonable prices and the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed. The buffet option was a brilliant deal only £15 per person for four courses, and half price for children under twelve. Being vegetarian it was difficult as most options contained meat, but they offered to make them without the meat for us which give us far more variety. Great spot would definitely go again 😊

We decided to treat ourselves to a take away so glad that we did as the food was excellent. We telephoned through our order which was delivered within 20 minutes. The food was piping hot and plentiful. The vegetable curry was delicious, my husband had the pork. Crispy veggie pancakes were tasty. Excellent value and service, we're going to make this a regular thing.

Coming back from Elgin, we decided to stop here for tea. The food was good, I had Veggies in Szechuan sauce with fried rice, The food was roasting when it came out and the staff attentive. The only thing that the rest of the family though was lacking was some little touches letting you know that you were in a Chinese restaurant. There was a steady stream of takeaway orders through the evening.

We dropped in by accident looking for somewhere to eat while on holiday. The food is absolutely amazing. Excellent table service and very reasonably priced. The kids ate everything in front of them. Would highly recommend!

This is a first class Chinese Restaurant with very attentive and professional staff. Feng Lin and Shi Ping Guo are excellent hostesses and ensure that all staff are properly trained. The standard of cuisine is very good - freshly produced and well presented food.Well worth a visit if you are in Buckie

Are here for our nephews 21st. The staff were excellent and noting was too much for them. The food was lovely and as it was buffet we could order as much as we wanted, which was nice as was small amounts we could share and taste more dishes. Excellent place to eat

Having had a good takeaway from here whilst staying in the area we decided to visit again for a meal in the restaurant. My husband and I had the buffet which was great value and I loved that the food was brought to you rather that big serving dishes that have been sitting for ages. All of the food was delicious, very tasty and the batter was light and crisp on the sweet and sour. Our server recommended that we order a few dishes to start and then could order more if we wanted to. However the portions were so good we didn’t need to order any more. My parents went for items off the a la carte menu which they also enjoyed. Would thoroughly recommend trying and would go back if we ever in Buckie again.

My husband and I have been here several times for the buffet, the choice, the freshness,the value for money, the attentive staff, all combine to make it our favourite chinese in our area. We brought friends and they thoroughly enjoyed it too. Debbie, Sadie and Susan are staff to be proud of, we cant wait to visit again.

I went here with my wife and friend of many years standing.

Average because of the ambience in the restaurant. If it weren't for the odd decoration stuck on one or two walls you wouldn't know you were in a Chinese restaurant and a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss.

This restaurant has a very limited menu but it is situated in a very small town where there will be less demand than in the city. Service was very quick - I have never received a Chinese meal so quickly anywhere! I ordered chicken satay (because beef satay - my favourite - was not on the menu, and was offered a choice of sweet or spicy. Intensely disliking sweet savoury food, I ordered spicy which tasted exactly like mayflower extra hot sauce - a sauce I buy in powder from from home bargains. It is a sauce I like and my meal tasted good but I could not taste peanut.

6th year running we always visit Chinatown, excellent food excellent value. Would highly recommend, too much food to finish

Great Chinese, two nights in here over the weekend in Buckie. Top quality food a must if you're visiting Buckie.

Every year a large group of us come up from Northampton to watch the football and we always have dinner here at least one of the nights. Great food, reasonable prices & excellent service.

Husband and I had never used this place before, but it came recommend.

Accueil très sommaire et antipathique. Nous prenons place dans une salle petite, mal éclairée et chauffée par un radiateur minuscule. Nous avions choisi le menu ( 17£ par personne sans le vin ). Pendant l'attente des plats, ils hurlaient les uns sur les autres en cuisine. Raviolis chinois sans viande, rouleaux de printemps au goût douteux, canard laqué sans canard. Même le poulet était très mal cuisiné et le potage piquant était surtout sucré. Pas de sauce piquante à proposer. La serveuse avait des ongles noirs et sales. Ne surtout jamais y aller ni commander quoi que ce soit car l'addition est très salée !!

I popped in here on a Sunday night with my teenage daughter. Best meal we've had in ages! We had the buffet, so you just keep getting whatever you ask for. the salt and chilli chicken was sensational. It was all so worth the money! The staff were really friendly and chatty. Always willing to help. Totally recommended. I had to be rolled out of the place afterwards, I had ate so much for such a reasonable price.

Me and my family like to visit Chinatown for the buffet. The starters are my favourite and the selection given are amazing. Nothing seems too much and their customer service exceptional. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone

We ate here whilst on holiday in Cullen. Great food from the buffet selection. Everything was extremely tasty and just the right amount. Staff were very friendly and the manager even entertained my baby when she got a bit cranky so we could finish the main course!

Went for a family meal, there was only one other table occupied when we arrived and during the time we were there no-one else came. Waitress was helpful and attentive but the food while plentiful was average at best.

Our party chose individual main courses from the menu. All were served piping hot and in good time. Food looked and tasted very good.

Tried this Chinese for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. The food was well cooked, fresh and tasty. The staff were all friendly, attentive and helpful. Okay the menu choice might not be up to the standard of a high end Chinese restaurant but it will do. Can't fault this place at all and now know where to go for my Chinese fix, when I don't want to sit at home with a takeaway. First class

Wir waren sehr spät erst in Buckie angekommen, so war die Auswahl an Restaurants beschränkt. Wir entscheiden uns für dieses, weil bereits Leute drinnen waren. Die Plastikdekoration und grelle Wandfarbe sind gar nicht nach meinem Geschmack, die Bedienung war jedoch freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen entsprach nicht wirklich meiner Vorstellung, war jedoch ok. Die Zutaten schienen frisch zu sein, das Bier war kalt. Soweit so gut.

We booked a table for 4.....We shared crispy duck and pancakes for starters and it was very tasty and plenty for 4.....4 main courses with rice and noodles for sides, everything was excellent and the service was spot on....the young lady serving us was also dealing with front of house takeaways but she never missed a beat, polite professional and very knowledgeable regarding menu.....my niece asked for a doggie bag for the prawn crackers but our waitress said il go get you a fresh bag to take away, nice touch!....highly recommend.

Me and my sister decided on having a takeaway on a Saturday night as a little end of week treat. She suggested Chinatown in Buckie since it was just up the road from our house. Had previously visited before and was left disappointed, I decided to give a second chance and try their takeaway option. BIG MISTAKE.Since it was only my sister and I ordered one crispy beef meal, a portion of chicken fried rice, chow mien noodles and satay sauce with complimentary prawn crackers, which only came to around £8, which i thought to be very good.My sister chose to have it delivered, although we just live 2-3 minutes down the road, due to her looking after her little boy. We waited fir around 15 minutes before it arrived and my sister was charged £14 for the total cost, meaning she was charged £6 for delivery! Ridiculous! I know many nice takeaways in Buckie that charged around the same delivery price, while being 10-15 minutes away from Buckie, not on the doorstep of their establishment. We paid it regardless.We ate our food and everything was fine until both of us got up to be sick due to the food. I cannot stress this enough that we were in good enough health before we sat down and ate our takeaway.I remember going to this restaurant with my family when i was much younger but now the past TWICE i have visited i am truly disappointed, this is the last time I will even consider China Town as food choice.

Went for a meal with a friend, only got a mixed starter and it came to £35. Minder stand that this was part of buffet but don't understand why we were charged for the full buffet if this was all we had. Could've got a discount at least, very disappointed.

My partner and I decided to eat at, The China Town Restaurant having been intrigued by some of the most recent reviews. We took advice from our friendly waitress and went for the sit down Buffet menu. They bring you a selection of starters, followed by a selection from the 2nd course, and if you still have room a Main course, PLUS Sweet and Tea or Coffee. Everything was freshly cooked and delicious, and we were so satisfied by the first two courses we skipped the main altogether and went straight to the dessert. They serve a nice Chinese lager - Tsingtao which complemented the meal perfectly. The clientele when we arrived at 7:00pm on a Saturday evening was a mix of families, and couples. Unfortunately some loud 'characters' arrived about 7:45 whose choice, colourful language didn't seem to phase anyone. I did think it a bit much though when there were so many youngsters present in the restaurant. The group appeared to be regulars, and friends of the owner - so they probably thought nothing of it. It was a real shame as they did kind of spoil the occasion for me, though not of the meal itself which is great value, and we would highly recommend you try it.

Popped I for an early supper, so glad we did. Being the only Chinese restaurant close to our cottage we wanted a change from the wonderful variety of local / european foods.We opted for the waitress served 'as much as you can eat' 'buffet' which is a wide selection of 13 starters, 5 soups, 46 main course dishes, 2 deserts plus tea or coffee. At £14.99 per head for as many items as you want to try the experience was really good. Nothing could be faulted, in fact some of the individual dishes were as good as any I've had elsewhere. Despite being told that the portions were more of a sample size this was not the case there was plenty of each dish.

My partner and I have been a couple of times and always enjoyed the food. We even tried the set menu which was great value for money and plenty to eat. Take away is also available. Not as busy as I would have liked to see. Only two tables when we were there.

Come here all the time we usually have a sit down buffet , excellent starters ,soup, main course and ice cream to finish. Very attentive smiley service
