I went to watch a couple of the England matches with friends, It was a really good atmosphere.

A lovely old pub with character

Nice decor , very spacious, music was the perfect volume to be able to hear friends but also to hear the music properly. Drinks were reasonably priced . Bar staff were quite friendly . Very nice place conveniently located . Will be returning.

My brother got the drinks in I had a pint of Strongbow cider which I was drinking in the egerton pub nearby the pint was flat when I took it back the barman asked me would I like another Strongbow I said no but he charged me the full price for the alternative drink which was a bottle of burgers cider when if there was a price difference to my mind he should only have charged me the different price for the drink but instead he charged me the full price therefore I had one drink that cost us £10 what the hell is going on I will never go into that smelly establishment again and I would sincerely recommend that no one else does

Do not ever go in the Chrstergate pub! This is not a criticism of your pub it is simply I cannot review as not been in it!

The seating was in a poor state and the toilets were not clean. The barman was mot friendly

Friendly welcome by locals and staff. Karaoke was on. Some good singers to listen to and everyone around seemed to be enjoying themselves. Good value drinks.

Had a very bad experience after seeing very good reviews. The atmosphere looked amazing all over social media but dont judge a book by its cover! The staff are rude especially George i think his name is and they take a long time to serve. Fights break out very often and bar staff are left to try and calm it down when infact they should have qualified bouncers considering it gets very busy and fights tend to happen when really busy. I will not be returning especially after my horrific experience.

Went to this pub after going to the theatre to see soul to soul...after spending £40 on drinks a fight broke out near us. Was honredous feared for our safety after being showered with glass and blood. We had spent 25 mins in there and left a scene of carneige in fear of our saftey.

The place needs some bit of cleaning.

Always have a great time when we visit Stockport.staff are friendly prices are excellent and always has a good atmosphere.our favourite pub in the area.

The staff were great, funny and one of them could sing, as it was a Friday it was karaoke 🎤 time. I will be going back there.

I went in the pub for karaoke and was met with a warm welcome from staff & customers alike. I'm Stockport born & bred, but lived in Blackpool for the last 40yrs. We'll definitely be back and a big thanks to Kim for Cracking Karaoke. Diane xxx

It was brilliant and everyone was great

I went there for a drink. No parking except for local pay n displays. Entrances for all peoples. It is a basic pub. I did nt see any food being sold. There are a number of beers and lagers on sale. No real ales. There are toilets. There are a number of t.v s. Prices for beers are competitive.

If you want a entertaining evening with people watching and karaoke this is the place to be

I've only been in occasionally pre-covid (so can't comment on it now). However I've always had a decent time and the karaoke has to be seen to be believed. Definitely some leftovers from the Jeremy Kyle show frequent this pub

Yeah, it was okey, good Team, just it wasn't that busy in that Time and it's really good if we are talking about COVID19 🙄

I came into the pub last night after a show. The elder bar lady was very obnoxious and moaning at customers. I waited 20 minutes to be served and then when it was my turn was told they are no longer serving. It was only 22:30pm. I'd understand if I had only just come into the pub but surely people who had been waiting all that time should have been served. Obviously 2 staff members for a large pub is not enough. Never step foot in there again

Thought it was a Weatherspoons from outside but isn't loads of screens no food available couple of cask pumps one on when i called on a Wednesday lunchtime i will call in again

Football was on but also a really loud dj, the bouncers did very little to stop the idiots, second star is because the bar staff were good. Won't be returning.

Oh you'll love it in here...spit and sawdust pub... People come here in the afternoon after attending the Jeremy Kyle show...I loved it when I came here...look out for Janet she'll give you a blowy for £2.00 and go on a Tuesday for the best fun coz it's kareoke + the bloke that sings "penny arcade" will be there...it's like music to your ears
