Worst ever Chinese take away, too expensive, low quality food and very very and very disgusting, too far to be Chinese food. My recommendation avoid this place.

Staff at this takeaway are sooo rude !! Absolutely no customer service food is average and mega expensive, got our order wrong and wheh we told them they was awful suprised the place is still open !! Think it’s because not any other Chinese takeaways in Heald green .

Too expensive £8.10 for large sausage (which is quite small) salt and pepper chips kids menu size and small pot of sweet curry

The food for me; very tasty - hits the spot. Crispy chicken is tougher than anticipated however with the sauce the dish comes alive. Rice is cooked perfectly with some good flavours and the duck rolls shine through with flavour. The one big major drawback is the prices £21 for one person is disappointing in this current climate. Would I come back? Yes! Would I be a frequent customer, foods great but not at that extra cost.

This takeaway has rapidly deteriorated ,we had a main meal out earlier on but decided to have chips and curry sauce, the chips were awful not fresh and definitely frozen, reheated, greasy and got charged £10.40 !!!! Definitely learnt the hard way this time , never again, would not recommend this takeaway!!!!

Firstly, these guys never smile nor make eye contact so that’s cold. Secondly, the food is EXPENSIVE!! And thirdly it’s awful. The chips were anaemic and looked like emulsified maggots, the peas were luminescent green and the fish were really small. It’s a cash only establishment so that speaks volumes. One good point is it encourages people to home cook

Ordered delivery through UBER EATS. The food was average. Sweet and sour pork was much too sweet. Pork fried trice was better. Left instructions to have chilli crisps and fresh chilli on the side. None was provided.

I’ve been getting Chinese food from this establishment for nearly 30 years and the quality has always been excellent!!😜 I have always had great service from all the staff who I find very friendly and helpful. Perhaps those customers who don’t find this to be the case need to take a look at their own attitude towards the staff as I have personally witnessed some customers being very unpleasant!!🤨

Ordered some chips take away wasn't busy chips where cold small potion for price

Words cannot describe this Chinese, staff grumpy the only best thing was the curry sauce and chips. Spare ribs with sweet and sour sauce tasted like well word's can't describe it and chicken ball's in Bbq sauce well again, can't describe it except for fat taste that was the worst Chinese, we have ever tasted total waste off money.

I always used to come to this Chinese takeaway till I discovered one not far away only another five more minutes in a car still in Heald Green the portions and also the taste of the Chinese food from the takeaway is quite poor the only reason why I went back today is because the one I will use it go to was too busy to answer the phone they are very busy but the food is well better

I ordered two portions of salt and pepper chips and it was awful, very salty and size of the chips was so that tiny they looked more like a left over chips, disgusting. No way I'm going back in there

A new employee speaks to his customers in a very rude tone of voice if they don't understand what he says. This has happened to me and my sons girlfriend. I have been going to the Hung Wan for 40+ years but I won't be back until this rude youngster has gone.

Nice food. Cash only but there is a bank next door and across the road.

I have had take aways from this place before. Over time there has been a steady deterioration in the quality of food served. Omelettes were once beautifully cooked but this changed but they were still edible. On this occasion the omelette was poorly cooked (thrown together) and the curry sauce was way too salty. Not sure I will be buying from there again. This is a shame because I like to support local business.

This used to be the place to go... however I ordered the quarter duck and pancakes and it was awful! It was very very over cooked so the skin was all burnt and tough. There was hardly any meat on it and the sauce was very thick. Unable to return, will not rush back. Real shame as I saved myself for this as a birthday treat for a little family gathering.

Just bought fish and chips I kid you not I couldn't believe the fish when I opened the wrapping paper. It was all batter the actual fish was the size of a fish ginger!! Complete disgrace, will not be going back

Always great food and service. Just for a change we ordered fish and chips, was completely disappointed with the fish, only a very small portion in comparison to what we have received before. May have to look elsewhere? So many eateries opening in Heald Green?

Not sure what it is about this place you always feel like you are intruding, no eye contact, no pleasantries, the chips taste like they have been there all day. Twice I’ve been there and been totally ignored, and have had to beg to place my order, when those that just walk in get served straight away. Very strange. My advice avoid like the plague.

Great fish n chips, not the best Chinese food of the town (that crown goes to Heald Green Oriental across the road) but still very good.

The fish and chips here were very small and looked like Asda frozen fish - it doesn't meet the expectation of a chippy. I certainly would not recommend the fish. The chips were crispy, however.

Let me start by saying that this is the best Chinese chippy that I have ever been too. I have been going ever since I was young and the same for my father who has been going since he was a young boy. Very friendly staff and they never make errors with their orders, always perfect every time. I would especially recommend the sweet and sour, the curry sauce, the soft noodles, chips and their chippy sausage. A* & 10/10 best family ran takeaway around!

The best Chinese takeaway in the around.

Great service everytime I go. Friendly and welcoming staff. The food is gorgeous and worth the price you pay. You get good portions with lot's of meat too.

The food is absolutely lovely however the prices are a little steep for the poor customer service. The staff are always rude, never crack a smile and come accross as very unapproachable and as if they can't be arsed which they probably can't but it's Friday night and nobodies forcing you to work in a takeway. Literally the only reason i go back is because the food tastes so good! Especially the gravy!

Ordered salt and pepper chips. Was so salty it was inedible. The curry sauce was too sweet as well. No decent Chinese in heald green. Happy house in Cheadle Hulme or rainbow 88 much better options

Best curry sauce going. Been going here for years still as good as ever. Would be 5 stars if they didn't pre pack the fried rice. Had a few occasions where a layer of rice was a bit dry and crunchy.

Late night feed. If you're looking for a good feed after a night out, this it the place, We both ordered chicken curry, fired rice, and a portion of chips and prawn crackers between us both, what a feed. The best fried rice I've had for a long time, and the curry is just perfect with plenty of chicken. They have a huge selection on offer to suit all. Perhaps not 5 star, but essentially that's not what a person is looking for.

I went to the hung wan expecting a nice chinese takeaway as I had been to this takeaway a few years back and the standard was good. How disappointed was I. 1. I was greeted by a surely male who barely gave me eye contact 2. A customer who came in after me got his food before me who ordered a simi;lar meal to myself 3. When I got home and looked, ( I ordered special friend rice) the carton was only half rice and half meat with one prawn. Whenever I have ordered this from every single chinese I get a carton full of rice. So I was not only surprised to find that it was only half rice, squashed to one side, but filled to the brim with gravy to give the impression that I was getting more than I actually did. 4. The takeaway was so salty this meal was just about edibable. And for £5.70 I feel ripped off as this was a poor excuse for chinese food. Do not go there try another chinese, this one is stuck in the 80's with overly salty additive laden food. And of course I will never go back there again what a waste of my money and petrol to get there. A very disappointing experience.
