So 7 of us booked for my daughter’s birthday as this is her favourite restaurant, it was the Saturday before Xmas eve so fairly busy but still a few tables empty. The first thing we ordered was drinks and my daughter ordered Archers and lemonade, I don’t know what was in the bottle but it certainly wasn’t archers, we called the waitress over and asked her to change it for a completely different drink which she did, we ordered our starters with soup first and then automatically the duck came out then of course the main course, the food was hot, plentiful and fresh the couple of things I would pick up on is - we ordered mussels for two people, they got one mussel each the crab claws are crab sticks deep fried never used to be, so really all good. The one thing I thought was completely out of order was that my son asked for clean cutlery and they said no at first they only give once until we had a bit of a moan and she reluctantly gave him a clean spoon and fork. We received the bill paid and gave a generous tip it wasn’t until I got home and realised they had charged us for the Archers and lemonade (poor) all in all won’t stop us going again

A really pleasant restaurant, with equally pleasant & efficient staff. Good standard of food. Is an 'oder & eat what-you-like basis but a la carte menu also available. Circular tables, crisp linen. Perfect for groups of up to 6/8. I reccomend!

Have been coming here for years, and it’s the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. Sometimes over the years have ventured out to other Chinese restaurants and nothing compares to this one. Same staff that have been working there since I have been coming. Incredible food. Great staff all at an incredible price!

Avery cozy environment with a very friendly greeting. A family of 6 celebrating our mums 86 birthday and child friendly. Ordering was fast and delivery to the table excellent. The food had plenty of flavours as not cooked in the same pan for each dish. We where not rushed and totally enjoyed our experience.

Staff were really friendly. One positive However Food was cold, and should be served on a hot plate, processed chicken over cooked and like rubber, crispy beef was not crispy but overcooked. We had the all you can eat for less than £20 each, weren't told that dessert was extra, so paid £62 quid for cold processed food...i Can't understand all the positive reviews, my standards must be high or the chefs standards don't exist.... sorry 2 out of 10 the 2 is for the very hot banana and apple fritters..... thank god I didn't take anyone else here.

I moved to Worcester Park in 1999, and this restaurant was there then, so that tells you something about it given the state of the restaurant industry. They've had the same "Eat All You Like" menu for over 20 years. Currently £18 per head. We used to go quite a lot with the kids when they were young but not recently for a few years because it is so inherently unhealthy (and our kids are now adults). However, we still like a treat and had forgotten in these Covid days that we can still go out. Value for money here is exceptional. We had as much as we wanted to eat plus a bottle of wine for £60 including tip. Everything is sugar coated but a once in a while treat is ok (isn't it?). Service was good but they should change the cutlery between courses. Will definitely return - maybe with our adult kids.

This is certainly great value for money. What sets it aside from other similar restaurants is that the food is so fresh- it’s not the usual Chinese restaurant where the dishes are pre-cooked and left laying around for hours. Everything is cooked to order. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Brilliant experience.

I had an excellent meal - the vegetarian crispy duck pancakes were OUTSTANDING, indistinguishable from non-vegetarian ones, definitely a dish to look out for. Toffee apple was as it should be, hard brittle toffee with sesame seeds covering soft apple. Price of £25 was very reasonable for a three course meal including beer (I'd also had the sweet and sour soup, nice)

A group of us went to this restaurant for a midweek meal. The restaurant had one other table occupied with a small group of diners. This is a buffet restaurant where you can order what you want from the menu for £18 per person which is good value. We were sat at a round table. We asked for a selection of starters which we were given. When one of our group asked for one of the items on the menu not provided in the selection (ribs in a sauce) the waiter and waitress appeared reluctant to provide it and looked at each other hesitantly. It was insisted we would like the item and we were given a small dish of a few ribs in sauce which were much tastier than the dry ribs given in the selection. The starters were tasty and plentiful and included spring rolls, prawns in batter, chicken satay, prawn toasts, crispy seaweed, salt and pepper ribs and chicken parcels. At the end of the starters as the plates were being collected a few of our group had stacked their plates ready for collection including the forks and spoons they had used. The waiter, when he picked up the plates said they had to keep the spoon and fork. They did not know which of the cutlery were theirs which they said to the waiter but he just stood holding the plate in front of them until they removed the cutlery which they ended up having to take back and clean on their napkins. It was very uncomfortable and was just one of the example of how unfriendly the waiter was. The waitress was quiet and not forthcoming although did smile a little by the end of the evening. The food was OK and reasonably priced. We had the duck pancake rolls and a nice selection of dishes for the main course which tasted good. However, it was the service that left a nasty taste in the mouth which would make me hesitate before going back to the restaurant.

Phew we were 1.4 miles, I could have my chinese meal delivered after all, except I couldn't as I was told I was out of area. Perhaps they need to scale back on their promised coverage. It took us a long time to get back here to try again, as we had very much enjoyed it before. This time it was summer and daylight and it was hard to see from the outside that the restaurant was open - blinds closely drawn and impossible to see inside. It didn't look at all attractive or welcoming. Inside there are no tables near the windows - if you could see in and see people sitting eating it would look a lot more attractive. This time there was hardly anyone there and the service was very brisk. The food turned up so quickly that it clearly hadn't been freshly cooked and it all had that rather 1970s look and taste of being smothered in monosodium glutamate gloop. Maybe we just made the wrong choices, but the dish described as spicy was not remotely spicy. I did mention this and was told to ask for it to be more spicy next time. There are only two types of wine you can have by the glass - red or white. I had a glass of the white, which tasted distinctly odd. I asked what it was, to be told "French". I was shown the bottle, which appeared to be a reasonable regional French wine. I had another glass. This one came up much colder, in a fuller glass and tasted fine. Ah - the first one was clearly the last glass from a bottle that had been open a while and tasted like it.So a disappointing meal. I think the good reviews here are probably from larger groups, when I can see this could be a good place to go, as you can eat as much as you like for £17 and have a good night out. For just two of us on a Friday night when the place is nearly empty it wasn't good.

We went there as a family for a mid-week meal, this is what happens when all four of you work and nobody fancies to cook! So after debate we settled on Chinese cuisine and drove a few miles to this restaurant. It was almost empty. The interior looked as it had seen better days, honestly I have seen Chinese takeaways in better nick than this restaurant. So to the food. You are directed to the fixed price menu and on the surface £17 a head and eat as much as you can manage seems quite seductive. And, as we were all hungry this seemed like a good deal. Alas it is not. We ordered a variety of starters, usual stuff, barbecued spare ribs, roast duck, and so on. The barbecued spare ribs appeared suspiciously quickly - freshly made they were not. They dripped in oil and and tasted as though they had been re-fried. Flavour was not bad but neither was it good. The duck was a bit better, but very dry and lacking in flavour. Still once you added the hoisin sauce, spring onions and cucumber it was palatable. There were other dishes, Singapore noodles were fairly tasteless. Only one dish stuck out a Malaysian spicy chicken, that was quiet delicious. As I came to settle the bill, £68 + tip, it struck me that actually had we ordered the dishes that we ate it would have come to a lot less - so beware of these offers. The other thing that struck me, and this was far more important, my local Chinese takeaway in Cheam near the station cooked far superior food, freshly made, great texture and full of flavour. So this one was a definite miss. The service was warm and polite, no complaints about that.

Some of our kids have chosen it for their birthday dinner venueSunday to Friday it is all you can eat for £17 adults £11 children. This is not a buffet! You are given menus and an order pad and write your order to give to the very attentive staff. It's never ending. Every kind of starter you might want (we've never managed the soup course) then a rest then duck (or lamb) pancake course then menus again for main courses.I don't even know if they do desserts, we are struggling after the Pancakes.£17 may sound a lot but I think the value is there. There is nothing tacky about this place. The tablecloths and napkins are linen, the decor is very pleasant. As an ex chef I can assure you that the food here is not served out of a bains marie. I have visited this Restaurant for nearly 20yrs,during which time the owners/staff have changed. The food is still varied,a wide choice of starters/mains in their 'weekday special'-where you can order a la carte dishes,as much and as many times as you like. Sadly the flavour was lacking in most of the dishes,so it was very difficult to distinguish the taste between one main dish to another. However, considering I only cost £17 per head, there maybe some corners being cut and I would consider this Restaurant value for money. The staff were attentive and polite. The foods was served piping hot and the timesheet waiting for your dishes to be served was very short.I hope when I visit this Restaurant again,I can increase my rating of it.

So, I've lived near to the Chef since it was built back around 1990 and have witnessed its go through numerous incarnations.Once upon a time it was a great little place to visit but a year or so ago it went downhill badly.I can only guess it is under new management or has a new chef who has heard about Chinese food but has never tasted it. This was a real pity as it's a place I've visited dozens of times in the past but had now scratched it off my list of places to go.Then this weekend, stuck between a rock and a hard place I called for a delivery. The same kind of thing I've ordered before. The food arrived about 20min later and it was (on the whole) tasty :)Happy days, looks like the chef found it's Mojo again. The only real disappointment is it seems the price has gone up drastically. 12 months ago my delivery would have been £35-£40, This weekend the same meal was £65. That's some hike.

Every time I have chanced this little place, the staff have been lovely and attentive. The food can sometimes be very good - but even on some of those occasions, it doesn't feel as fresh as it could do. As if they've just reheated in a microwave.I feel I ought to say - and I hate to be too negative because they really do work v hard to accommodate - but I have had a couple of dishes from them, usually their noodles, that don't make me feel all that well afterwards. Sometimes the flavour just isn't there. And I found a hair in the rice in my latest order. If they could just pay a little more attention to the food - perhaps, with the menu being so varied, they're struggling - this place could go back to thriving.

It is not buffet style rather you choose from the menu card what you like and the order is placed by the waiting staff. We had a warm welcome and a lovely meal at the Chef. Five nights of the week they run an all-you-can-eat-for-£16 menu as well as their standard a la carte. We enjoyed hot & sour soup, another starter each, two main courses and rice, and could have had much more for our £16 each, including a crispy duck course if we could have managed it. The restaurant was fairly full and everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves. The service was good without being unduly hasty and we are looking forward to our next visit to try some more of their attractive-looking dishes. We will make sure we are hungrier next time!

I visited this local restaurant to me, with friends who have been before, being a vegetarian I was concerned that I may not have a lot of choice, but I was surprised to say there was a good seperate vegetarian menu which was great. I cannot say I enjoyed the food I ate that much as it felt rather 'fried' and greasy, perhaps chinese food is like this? but it wasn't nice. Apart from the crispy seaweed and the vegetarian 'duck' that was good. However, in my vegetarian vegetable selection, I had a piece of chicken and was just told sorry or to leave it to the side, but this made me not want to eat anything else, I felt that the food must be all cooked together. Service is very good and restaurant clean. They have a fish tank in the restaurant, like many chinese restaurants do, but this one is far too small to accommodate the 4 large fish that are housed in it. They also have a large 12" pleco fish in the tank, which is just pure cruelty as this particular fish needs far more room than the tank he is in. This was upsetting to see and I did try and speak to them about it and hope that something is changed.

Our friends booked the entire restaurant for their wedding reception. Although an unusual choice of venue, we could not have been better looked after. We were the only guests to ask for bowls and chopsticks, which were promptly produced. The assorted starters were a meal in themselves. Then followed lamb or duck pancakes and a choice of dishes for the main course. I lived in Hong Kong and travelled in China, so I have high expectations when I eat Chinese food. This restaurant did not disappoint and I can see why it was chosen for the wedding reception. At the end of the evening, the staff even put on a suitable CD so that the bride and groom could do the Wedding Waltz. Great evening.

This is the best Chinese takeaway I have ever eaten. The beautiful king prawn chow mein was just immaculate and the customer service just brightened my entire day. Especially the blond boy at the desk on Mondays. He really brightened my day. He was fast and made excellent conversation

BEWARE! We ordered online for collection last night. When my husband got there he noticed the menu on the wall was £1-£1.50 cheaper per dish than what we’d paid from their website. He asked the man behind the counter what was going on and the man just said “deal with it! You shouldn’t have ordered online then should you”. He was rude and laughed at my husband. We won’t be back and I want others to be aware as clearly they know they’re ripping people off and find it funny!

Outstanding service and food. Really tasty starters: spicy prawns & satay chicken with spicy peanut sauce. Peking duck was perfect, huge portions. Mains on set menu B were beef with bamboo shoots & mixed veg, chicken in black bean sauce (spicy), noddles with beansprouts and prawn with cashew and bamboo shoots. Enormous portions plus crust spicy green beans. Took home the remainder- enough for 3-4 people. They even brought out their own special tea. A great evening .(10/10 food )
