Lovely friendly pub proper working mens /women's pub we need more pubs like this

We had my daughter's 18th birthday party here last night and it was lovely. The staff were so friendly and helpful, a big thank you to Lisa and the rest of the staff. The dj was great and the food was lovely. Back Lace decorations did a beautiful job with the balloons and decorations. Highly recommend.

Son goes on a Wednesday evening to Ambitions club . A great venue and really nice pub . This organisation has been going for over 15 years , they also do a Tuesday evening in Ashton and a Thursday evening in Oldham for clients and carers. On Facebook

I hired the function room at the Charlestown and it was amazing! The rooms is big and spacious! They have an amazing outdoor area that leads out into the back from the function room. The buffet we chose was amazing! The staff were great and very accommodating!! It was a lovely day and I will be hiring again when I need to arrange another party!

Top boozer with great live entertainment

It's been a large number of years since I was last in here. And what a difference it is staff were friendly and well able for a bit of banter. Semi decent pint of guinness.

Had my wedding reception here & was an amazing place. Staff are so friendly & helpful aswell as the food being delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely traditional pub. Great atmosphere, drinks reasonably priced, large car park, bar staff couldn't be more helpful and landlord, Floyd went above and beyond. Highly recommend

The Landlord has Barred me and my wife and he's never met us. So my opinion of this pub has changed.

Staff are friendly but the owner is obviously a complete miser! Why are people in the area paying town prices for drinks? It’s a disgrace. £5 for Guinness are you taking the absolute Michael? It’s even cheaper in more affluent areas & that’s a fact! Blackely is not town! Sort it out. Sad for the locals to be treated like this ..

Self contained room ideal for what we wanted toilets in room also leads on to a big garden if weather permits ideal for children .weddings or funerals

The landlord and his family,have turned it into a nice place to visit.great place for a function,nice outdoor space for kids.

Our family have hired the function room and opted for the in house catering twice recently and both have been superb the staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the room and toilets were spotless I would highly recommend this location for any family get together.

Visited after a funeral. Not a great lover of J W Lees beers, but pub was fine

Charged £250 for about £25 worth of food and that's being generous shop round there are cheaper and better places

EXPECT DISAPPOINTMENT!! Would give zero stars if I could-total rip-off Food was a joke. Only 60 people in the party and there weren't, food ran out in 10 minutes. Alcohol was too expensive Dj was the worst! No requests accepted and no karaoke but excuse was that the equipment wasn't his

I had my darling father's wake in the Charlestown and I must say it was so nice and the staff was fantastic, helpful and polite. The food was excellent layed out good and the hot buffet was fantastic would recommend the Charlestown to anyone.

Had our wedding reception there in 1972. And have had many others including 18th 21st and so on. 50th coming up,?.

Very helpful chatty and lovely people who run it deffoo recommend they go all out if you have children... And even for adults..

Top boozer and function room. Friendly staff, new landlord is a gent. Proper community public house. Plenty of secure parking. Huge beer garden at the rear. All in all a decent spot. Defo better under this new management

Can't really judge this pub because only the vault was open when I called in due to Covid 19 regulations. Had a nice pint though.

What a wonderful warm welcome from a fantastic team and landlord. Lovely dinner amazing value for money. Feed 16 of us and not one complaint and we were all served together. Many thanks I will be returning xxx

New landlord, Craig has just started doing food again. This friendly local has a quiet beer garden at rear, a great function room, pool table & disabled toilet.

Nice pub 2 rooms function room is big £3.70 Manchester craft lager has game machines and pool table and sports TV toilets are not the best but warm

The food I had was very dry needed more gravy I had braised steak and melted onions

This place is a little gem (not so little- it's huge!) The atmosphere is warm and friendly and that is purely down to the new management Paul and Sue. They are determined to make this a place where you can go for a great evening. Highly recommended and can't wait to try the food- the sign of a good pub!

Its relaxed friendly.trendy with music videos in main room. With an old skool vault.good pool table and players.I will be going here again!

Beer warm. Service cold.Clear evidence of drug use in patrons toilets.Basically a den of iniquity....yet claims to be a family pub. I wouldn't take my kids there!
