Tried @halfdozenother and wasn't disappointed! Manchester usually hella busy and congested with small roads but this was a breath of fresh air hidden away in an open industrial area with a cool set up. By the time we got their we missed their best pastries but there was one Kouign Amann left and boy did that make it worth the trip. Buttery and a texture unlike any other pastry. I'd definitely come back for this. Resr of the pastries were good too and they do a pretty good coffee as well.

I come here to buy coffee almost every week but this time was really disappointing. My coffee was leaking from the cup, not filled properly, had no latte art, and was scaldingly hot. It tasted nothing like before—more like unpleasant hot water. The male staff member clearly didn’t put any effort into making it. Honestly, it’s the worst coffee I’ve ever had, and I won’t be coming back.

The ham and cheese croissant was amazing, been looking for a place that does really nice pastries since I moved to uni. I went to the one on Oxford road. I also ordered a matcha iced latte, but there was way too much matcha in it, so it wasn't very enjoyable, also it was clumpy at the bottom of the drink. I would defo come back here though, great service too

Nice and cozy place, that offers quite a good variety of bakery for a tasty breakfast. The sitting area is not huge and quite limited, so during busy hours the place tends to get crowded and you might not find place inside, specially during winter months. Costumer service was overall good and friendly. Would definitely recommend 🥰

Tbh I don’t like giving negative reviews but if the service is that bad I have to write something about it , the pastry had very very rotten egg kind of smell that it went straight to the bin , and the cappuccino was ok but the ice black went to the bin too the guy was holding the ice with his bare hands no gloves no spoon or any utensils to use, it was absolutely disgusting would never go back again.

I bought a sourdough that looked burnt. The lady serving me assured me they'd never sell a burnt sourdough. So, I bought it. I was hosting a party and the sourdough was for dipping in baked Camembert. Everyone was hyped for the Camembert and I told them your sourdough was the best too. I cut into it, and I can assure you, it was wholly burnt. I emailed to complain and never received a response. Plus, the lady who advised me it was fine had a really poor attitude when speaking. Bad customer service is never acceptable. I have given Half Dozen Other since January this year to respond to my email. If I'm honest, I really hoped they'd reply because I would have been a regular customer most weekends as I live a stones through away, had they remedied this issue. Instead, I have not been back once ever since.

I truly expected more. I have read a lot of good reviews, but unfortunately, my visit left me sorely disappointed. The pasties were ok but I expected them to be fabulous from what I had read. The drinks were an absolute rip off, and not very good. Chai latte had chai masala residue at the bottom of the cup and the cups sizes are small and are made for umpa lumpas.

I really wanted to love this place as it’s been on my list for so long. The warehouse is lovely, and the guy who served us was friendly, the coffee was spot on, and I’m so glad they had syrups, as quite often in these places they’re a bit too precious of their coffee and don’t offer syrups. The pastries looked lovely, however, I was wholly disappointed by the almond claw. I was hoping for a croissant pastry heavily filled with frangipane, ideally twice baked too. However the pastry tasted a little stale, and I knew from the second I picked up the pastry that it wouldn’t be what I was hoping for, as it was so light. I was right, a pretty much hollow pastry with zero frangipane taste. Ho hum. Maybe it was a bad day, or maybe they just do a more simple style of almond croissant.

More a 3.5/5 and it’s down to service. I’ve been a few times before and had friendly service but the latest time really bugged me. I asked if I could have my baked goods sliced (to ease sharing when eating in the car) and was refused with a very rude and abrupt no! You’re not given cutlery and I’m sure they have a spare knife in the back so to avoid greasy hands, this was a reasonable request imo. I expected better and as a person of colour, although I’m used to this treatment I wouldn’t have expected it from this place considering the eclectic demographic of customers. If you don’t care about how you’re treated, then I would deffo visit for the food and coffee - the cheese and onion croissant is to die for but get there early ish as they do run out. The sweet croissant is tasty too but nothing beats that cheesy one. There’s minimal seating but I normally stop to pick up and go. Would I go back? Probably yes, but I’d bribe another customer to go in and order for me.

Firstly a great addition, a bonus to cheetham hill and proud of it, if you want to diss this place because of its location’ then your the issue not the residents or the community. So much anticipation for this cafe’ It needs tweaking’ the baked goods, at best are placid and not the quality compared’ to other providers and that’s important if you want value for money, it’s expensive without the coffee being worth the price point. Don’t get me wrong I want this place to kick-it, at the moment I’m holding my breath. I have been here everyday since it opened, it just needs better quality food and drinks.

We’ve been there for the first time in search of the Dishoom custard tart. We were surprised to find this place hidden next to a bridge arch. The shop assistant was polite, friendly and helpful. The place is squeaky clean, albeit they’re renovating/modernising it. It’s a pity there are not more tables outside for customers to stay in. The food is good, but a tad too expensive for the location it’s in. Our favourite bakery remains Companio that has a tad higher quality products, same prices despite being in a more expensive location. Worth a visit if you are in the area though. 😋

They make some of the best pastries in town, so it’s ace you can buy direct from the bakery. Choices are more creative than through wholesale locations or at PKB sites, so it’s well worth the trip. Been waiting to visit, and finally managed it. Starting with the positives, the staff were all nice, clearly have good vibes. Service was excellent. There was not a huge range of products, but there were some unique ones, so I guess if you crave a special, that's the place for you. But was expecting a bit more range. A simple chocolate pastry for example. Now, the coffee was a bit dissapointing, as for the price of 3.30£, was expecting at least a regular sized cup, but they serve it in a small mini size, and it was quite luke warm, so would choose another place for coffee and just stick with the pastries. They seem to have potential, and good vibes, so looking forward to see what they grow into. I walked there from Manchester Fort, but they do have parking. One or two tables outside for sitting but nothing inside, which again seems called for, maybe in the future. Overall would say good but they could be brilliant. Also the atmosphere, as expected for the area, is lacking, but this area could become vibrant at some point. So good luck to them!

Really lovely bakery in Green Quarter. Not a huge range of items, clearly focused on producing great products. Unsurprisingly, it is relatively expensive if you were to compare to mass-produced bakery goods from a supermarket chain bakery - although I am aware of a number of bakeries outside Manchester City Centre offering better value. I had a Blackberry and Vanilla Danish pastry and a croissant with a coffee - I found the creme filling in the Danish to be more sweet than Vanilla flavoured.
