I’ve visited twice here and it’s always such a pleasant visit. The choice of pottery items is great and it’s a lovely relaxing environment to paint and enjoy a great cup of coffee. The food and coffee is really delicious. I’d highly recommend, it’s a lovely place to go with family, children, couples/partners or with friends. The team are super lovely and I will be visiting again.

Lovely cafe with a good selection of food and drinks. The painting of ceramics is a great idea and would make an ideal gift for all ages. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

Great Dunmow is lucky to have The Chameleon Cafe. My family — and now many of our friends — have visited and we cannot speak highly enough of thefamily that run it. Whether dropping by to paint pottery or simply toenjoy a proper coffee and a slice of homemade cake, you are always made tofeel welcome. Without wishing to sound cliched, as a family, we enjoy theescape from the daily grind and loose ourselves painting pottery for anhour or two. This is why when my youngest daughter, aged 8, asked if shecould have a pottery painting party for her birthday we booked it straightaway! My daughter and her friends had a great time — with several of theother parents booking a party for their children on the back of it. Thestaff were great as was the food (all prepared fresh on site from qualityingredients) and the party ran like clockwork; allowing some of the mumsthat stayed to relax and enjoy a cuppa and a catch up. The really nicething is that you see the children concentrate and enjoy what they arecreating. It brings out their creative side and they end up with a nicepiece of painted pottery too! We have been back several times to paint andwhen Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Mother’s Day etc come around, ChameleonCafé has special pieces in for you to choose from and paint. These in turnmake great, thoughtful gifts for friends & family and you get theenjoyment from creating them! Well done Chameleon Café and thank you!

The lovely, friendly staff are wonderful and chat like they are your good friends. The cakes and coffee are superb and the pottery painting is really fun. It truly is the best cafe in Dunmow. It is open on Sundays and until a reasonable hour - 6 pm! We went in after 5:30 pm and were heartily welcomed and there was still a good choice of cake. It was great for my 15 year old daughter's birthday get together and her friends really enjoyed the pottery painting too. We love Chameleon Cafe!

We popped in here on the way to a wedding for a spot of lunch. The food was lovely and the staff were friendly and so helpful, especially with our toddler. If we lived closer we’d be in there all the time!

Visited Great Dumow and found this was the only place open on a Sunday. What a lovely place, lovely food and great staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Defo recommend paying a visit.

The Chameleon Cafe has a lovely atmosphere - it's so cosy, with the best people running it, delicious home cooked food, the best coffee in the town, and to top it off, fabulous pottery to paint! I come on a regular basis to not only paint, but to enjoy the atmosphere and food, and it also makes a great location to get some work done too!

There is nothing more satisfying than being able to eat somewhere with peace at mind.I was a lonely Ranger jumping from cafe to cafe looking for healthy food to Tingle my senses. My luck finally came in when I walk through the door of the Chameleon Cafe, I was welcomed by a friendly intelligent and very talented young lady, Who you could obviously tell she worked incredibly hard To prepare the fresh Delicacies because There was #Vegan #Cakes, Vegan Hot Drinks and Hot Vegan Food all in one place.(they even had my favourite oat juice “barista style”) i had the the vegan Lentil curry complete with a side dish of turmeric & herb spiced cauliflower with vegan & gluten free Flatbread with a vegan Americano (WOW) What have I been missing all my life and out of the 300,000 attempts of locating healthy vegan food I finally got it right or should I say Emily and Her mother have got it spot on! Everything has been well Thought Out, I will definitely be returning to enjoy another one, two or three helpings of Emily and Her mothers specially prepared dishes. I am also certain my friend who I tricked into eating the same healthy dish Will happily join me next time because as always He doubted vegan energy would never taste this good. Keep up the fantastic work guys, i will be dining with you again in the near future. Stay #V-Gang you beautiful beingsTHANK YOU

Visited today with my daughters and it’s really great. All cakes are homemade, fantastic friendly service, lots of lovely touches with the art and activities, and the food menu looks tasty and reasonable. And it’s open on Sundays! Looks like our new regular!

Having enjoyed several visits here in the past, sadly I shall not be returning. Whilst waiting for my friend to arrive the owner confronted me in the middle of the cafe as he said I shouldn't be parked where I was and that I had run over one of his cones in the car park (I had spoken to a member of staff on arrival who told me he didn't know what the cones were there for and I was fine to park there) I offered to pay for the damaged cones and he said quite aggressively "no, just move your car". I felt very humiliated, especially as I was on my own and this was in front of other customers. Needless to say I moved my car and went elsewhere.

Probably best pub meal in a country pub with the quality of food staff and atmosphere. Recommend a visit
