Looks like the premises is closed. Difficult to find opening hours thought it was by midday but I pass there every other day at different times and it's locked up,I'm not on social media but it's been closed now for too long!Pity because I liked their coffee

Located at the south end of Treherbert The CF42 is a pleasant spot to spend some time with a comfortable interior. On offer are tea/coffee and cake along with a menu of hot dogs, burgers, corn beef pie and curry. Well worth a visit!

Had afternoon tea today at CF42, couldn’t fault it. Sandwiches and Bruschetta were lush ! Cakes were lovely and the welsh cakes were absolutely stunning. The staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us. I would definitely recommend!

An interesting and refreshingly different addition to the other coffee shops in this area, it's quirky warm and comfortable. Added to the above the good coffee along with well presented food made for a very pleasant visit we will be sure to return when next in the area.

Have been twice now, with my wife on both occasions, We have been extremely impressed . On both occasions, very impressed by Matt and Glen- the co owners. Very friendly, all service with a smile. Excellent coffee on first visit- and very generously priced. Our second visit was to the New Year's eve party- such a great atmosphere

I visited The CF42 for lunch with my Mum and we travelled from the other end of the valley. I’d heard great reviews of this coffee shop so I was really looking forward to visiting. Unfortunately I left feeling rather disappointed. The decor was lovely - a very eclectic but homely feel. However the only food available was toast or cake (carrot or chocolate). We were told that sandwiches, toasties etc are usually available but that they didn’t have any at that time (1:30pm on a Thursday). We decided to settle for coffee and cake then return back home for lunch. I enquired as to whether there was soya milk available but, upon checking, was told they’d run out of that too. We both had the carrot cake which was fairly tasty, if a little on the dry side, but the portion was very small in comparison to what I’ve received in other similar establishments. All in all we left feeling a little deflated and rather hungry. Definitely not worth the journey.

Sandwiches bulked out with lettuce, tomato and cucumber, then info on the table telling customers, you have an hour at the table unless their not busy,,,more info on the table telling customers if they want the coffee and cake special , which is only on for an hour in the morning you actually only have 45 minutes so they can clear for lunch 😂. So while our sandwiches were ok at £8.50 each,we won't be returning it's not worth the journey to be watching the clock and having the threat of being asked to leave because your time's up at the table

Booked here for one night when travelling down to Cornwall. Was surprised at the lovely setting this place is at. Although we asked for a ground floor room due to my disability, we were given a first-floor room. Luckily, I managed up the stairs. It was a spacious room, with tea/coffee facilities and an ensuite bathroom. Staff were attentive, and the food was also a good standard. With a good size garden and even a dog walking field, this place was ideal for what we wanted. Breakfast the following morning was a decent size, served inside the inn. With eating outside the night before, I didn't see inside. It was a lovely old style pub inside, with the same great staff as the night before. If it wasn't for the room mix up I would have gave 5 stars.
