Food was delicious, faultless. Friendly staff. Highly recommend. Was nice to see how kind the bar staff were to other customers. 1 young lad came in, obviously on his way home from school and asked for a glass of water please and the barman said no problem and got him a pint pot full of water with ice. An elderly lady came in with pennies in bags and he patiently helped her count them. Love this place 💯

Came for lunch … nice staff but food mid on the occasion …

Waited 45 minutes for our food, having placed our order online. No apology or explanation for the delay, and think others were waiting similar times.

Sorry folks but a wait of 1 hrs 40 mins last Friday lunchtime just isn't on. We were warned when we ordered it would be 40 mins but it was a further hour! Not serving staffs fault they were doing their best.

Waited over a hour never got our meal left after refund

Went to the centurion for Easter Sunday breakfast, which was freshly made and delicious. My son had the large breakfast and I had scrambled eggs on toast with a side of mushrooms and bacon. And a pot of tea each. Thoroughly enjoyed it compliments to Emma in the kitchen. Our waitress Amelia was very attentive nothing too much trouble, she checked to make sure everything was ok. Will definitely come again for breakfast.

Went for the quiz, waited 40 minutes after ordering our drinks on the app and had to chase at the bar. Bar staff were not apologetic at all and hardly spoke. The music was so loud, despite many teams complaining, it was not turned down. Is it under new management as this used to be a great place.

I popped in today, brilliant atmosphere, was served by Mitch and Kieran, great service from them both.

A pleasant experience, typical pub but good menu range. Lunch time specials. Very obliging staff.

I went for lunch yesterday. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our food and would highly recommend a visit.

Came here for lunch today as we were impressed with the weekday set menu offer. However we ended up waiting just shy of an hour for our starters. The pub didn’t seem very busy, and not many staff seemed to be around to ask. When the food came there was no apology for the wait. I am very unhappy with the service as I shouldn’t be waiting almost an hour for 2 starters! However the staff we did encounter were polite, and the food was nice but I don’t be coming back.

I went into the centurion yesterday at midday, the service was incredible and the food was amazing and the atmosphere was so friendly and a staff member called Kieran was super friendly and welcoming

We went after laying my sister in laws ashes to rest. The food hot and tasty and the service was excellent. It was a Thursday midday and even so the Centurion was quite busy. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. We have been before on several occasions and the service is always very good. I strongly recommend the Centurion if you fancy a good meal in a friendly atmosphere.

Very disappointing. Interior looks tired and somewhat grubby. Parts of the menu were ok but overall pretty underwhelming. The staff were all very young and didn't seem to have much idea or enthusiasm for customer service, at one point I had to wait for them to finish a conversation with friends at the bar before they turned their attention to me.

We went for a wake and the staff were really welcoming and helpful. We had a sectioned off area and nothing was too much trouble.

Once again no food available. Basically, the kitchen seems to he closed on a regular basis, I.e every few days. Over Christmas there was no food on the 24th December or 30th December. Appalling level of service

The food was excellent, service friendly, helpful and patient, atmosphere very welcoming. Couldn't ask for more. Kudos to Emma Reed and Charlotte Scott for putting this SEN breakfast event. There simply aren't enough places offering this. It's only early days but spreading the word will help, and families will attend. We'll done, keep up the outstanding work.

It was absolutely wonderful. It gave my child an opportunity to be herself with no judgement. The staff were amazing, playing with the children and joining in the fun. Highly recommend for parents of sen children

Today I've been for the 1st SEN breakfast with my autistic grandson. What can I say, the atmosphere, food,staff were all amazing. Often when we venture out with my grandson you get tutts and stares. Today was just open to SEN families breakfast , the atmosphere was so calm n chilled.Everyone was at ease n relaxed,not something that always happens when out with SEN children. We will definitely be back for the next one . Thank you everyone at the Centurion who made this happen, it was very much appreciated 😊

Just drinks but a nice experience

Had some food here yesterday afternoon, food was excellent, staff very helpful, especially when we needed extra bits and the radar key. The atmosphere was great, and a fantastic time was had by all. Will be returning

Typical chain pub, food is good and quality always predictable. They have a good selection of ales, wines and spirits. Children are welcome as long as accompanied. Staff always friendly and helpful. Good parking area, and a nice outside seating are (not so good this time of year 🥶).

Since being managed under the new manager - Charlotte is think her name is.. she has started to transform the place. We can see the staff are responding to her in a positive manner and it is such a pleasant place to be. We look forward too seeing what else she is going to bring to the table and how all the staff are going to thrive under her management. Well done to everyone..!

Took my disabled mum for lunch, we ordered shepherd's pie and fish and chips, very nice food, lovely staff and atmosphere

Really enjoyed visiting The Centurion. Food was nice overall and met expectation. Drinks were great too. It was a quiz night, so enjoyed participating in that! Overall a good night out and ideal place for a catch up.

Service was good and my wife's meal was good. Mine however left a lot to be desired.... I had a mixed grill, the chips, steak and peas were fine, the rest was awful, the sausages were black, they looked like they'd been cooked by a drunk at a BBQ. The eggs and mushroom (one, small) were burnt and virtually inedible, the gammon and chicken were just overcooked but as they are dry meats anyway they then tasted like cardboard. At over £16 I expected better, I've visited before and it was.... I won't be returning.

First time at the Centurion in a very long time. Food excellent,had Calamari to start with best portion I have had in Lincoln,mixed grill perfect, steak done perfect,veggie options great my partner didn’t know what to pick,she had Halloumi Fries to start and Lasagne better atmosphere then the Swanholme thank you Will be back

Big free car parking. Wheelchair accessible entrances and toilets. Good food at sensible price's. Good range of draught beers and other drinks. Good attentive staff. Friendly landlord. Supports Linc/Notts air ambulance.

My family and I attended the breakfast with Santa event. The whole experience was wonderful. Food was great, Santa gift bag on our table along with Xmas crackers. Staff were just lovely, very attentive and happy to help with our experience. Loved it.

Breakfast with Santa today! Really great attention to detail for the kids. Making reindeer mix at the Dust Station and having a tablecloth to colour in! So great’ and even a gift from the main man himself! Thanks to Charlotte and Bradley for making it festive and special. ❤️⭐️🎄

Mixed grill was decent but the links could have done with a bit longer on the griddle. A bit anaemic! Tasty enough though. We both enjoyed.

Always had a good meal at the Centurion. The staff are always pleasant and the drinks are at an acceptable price. The inside and outside are well maintained so keep going back.

Food, special 3 courses £14.99 excellent. Cocktails to start whilst perusing menu pretty poor. Mohito without ANY fresh mint!?? unbelievable, Aperol Spritz, without a slice of orange also not really acceptable not withstanding it being very weak.

Always a great time, very accommodating. Shona is a great waitress who always gives the best service.

The food was tasty, portions decent and £12.99 for 2 courses is great value but the service is atrocious! Nearly 2hrs there and all we wanted was a quick bite on our journey . Bar staff are humourless and not friendly and only 1 lady on the floor running around waitressing in a packed out pub… rediculous

If I could give zero I would, they don't deserve one star! Food was just about edible, although pie could be used as a doorstop. Staff, especially Shona, is rude and argumentative. Ordered drinks via the app after 15mins queried where they were, said they doing it now. 25 mins after placing the order I asked where the drinks were to be told 'i just told your daughter I'm doing them now' that was 10 minutes ago and I ordered 25 minutes ago. They weren't busy so I don't know why it took so long or that it was my fault they didn't see the order because they were all in the kitchen and not behind the bar! We cleared our own table ALL night, had to ask for plates to be removed after an hour of being left on the table, only cleared half the table? They run out of shot glasses (all dirty left on tables) so served tequila rose in a half pint glass?! Unbelievable. The app order finally arrived, Shona slammed them on the table in front of me and said when you've drunk those you can all leave. We've drunk and eaten in the centurion for 20+ years. The last year has seen a huge decline in service. Outside looks terrible, two abandoned vehicles with flat tyres and smashed up fencing. No attempt to fix or remove fencing. Such a shame as could be a lovely local pub.

Really friendly staff , food was hot and a special shout out as the team were really attentive with my gluten allergy and made sure to accommodate for it. So thank you !

Loved the bbq beef rib mac and cheese was to die for, really melted in my mouth!!! Kidd loved both the beef sliders and the chicken sliders too!!!

Went for Sunday lunch...have been before and wS very good..but yesterday..20th Oct...9 of us went...3 were children.. we adults had the roast...tge food was cold ..as we were waiting fir tge gravy.. we all left tge vegetables as they weren't cooked..couldn't cut into the leeks...very disappointed...was so looking forward to our roast dinner...spent well over 150 quid tgere with drinks yesterday ....

Absolutely fabulous food and service after a visit today. Fast and friendly staff, lovely atmosphere too. Did not expect the meal to be so nice as it was a 2 course deal but was happily surprised and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had sausage and mash and a chocolate orange pudding. Our waitress was lovely, friendly and helpful would definitely recommend 👌

Loved it, great atmosphere and didn't feel rushed (no-one taking plates away as fast as you finish etc). Had Sunday lunch duo - lovely selection of veg - only critique would have liked more chicken and maybe less gammon ? X

Always a decent pint and bite to eat. The landlord is incredibly friendly and will do anything to ensure you enjoy your visit.

We booked a table online for 18.15 and to vacate at 20.30 Food ordered for 4 people, starters and mains. No sign of anything for an hour, bought drinks at the bar. Spoke to the management and was told give us 20 minutes for your starters. 5 minutes later they turned up piping hot out of the frier. Mains turned up 20 minutes later, steak cold, sizzling hot chicken skewers cold but 2 burgers were fine apart from cold gravy and luke warm chips. Two mains were reimbursed but this place which is a local pub has deteriorated very quickly, even pouring a pint is a fiasco !! All new staff and it shows !!

Had a great experience here. Monday lunchtime, so not the busiest, but the staff were welcoming and attentive, the food was good and inexpensive. Top marks. Other than! And this is splitting hairs, we weren't asked if we needed more drinks or extra sauces when our food was delivered. So close to perfection!

The gents toilet needs the hand dryer to be put in its been to long with out them . And the gables left stuck out is not very safe. You can not falt the beer very good.

Hi, I have been into the centurion today at lunch with my friend Mary and Amelia served us.I am gluten free and Amelia was so helpful with my choices and put me at ease.I chose the Shepherd's Pie and it was delicious so we will be returning again very soon, thanks again Amelia best wishes Carole.

Just had lunch at the Centurion, Amelia served us, what a delight she is…..nothing to much trouble, cheery happy and knows her job, looking forward to going back, the food was first class fresh and well prepared.

Chloe has transformed this pub, she is a lovely person, very friendly and approachable, I bring my friends round who come from Bristol and Leeds, they love it there; the food is great, we eat there regularly, the staff are so friendly, it’s a genuinely nice place to go. I highly recommend the Centurion in North Hykeham for food, drinks or a friendly chat.

Food is adequate, a bit dated but it's comfort food. The kitchen seems understaffed with at least thirty minutes to wait for food. Ordered coffee and dessert, coffee was long gone cold before dessert arrived. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. The poor chef is probably stressed and could do with a hand. The waiting staff didn't advise on length of wait until we went and asked where our food was. The response both times was that they are short staffed.

Okay pub, large outside sitting area, quite nice inside. Visited twice in a week and was told there was over a hour wait for food, so we left. I did notice however that there were food delivery workers by the kitchen door to pick up their orders. So maybe the long wait for food was due to them giving priority over the customers in house. Either be a pub serving food of be a takeaway because doing both does not seem to work.
