A scam, basically. They gave us a car with expired documents, the police impounded it, and the response was, "If I were you, I would have checked the documents." I had to go to the store to exchange the vehicle, they gave me a lower-category vehicle, I lost my day, and they wanted to give me a fifth of the rental price when I returned the vehicle, which didn't even cover the fine.

Incredible! A real museum, the Beatles cover concert was crazy (very disturbed by the resemblance both vocally and physically of the guy who played John Lennon), then in the original part of the Cavern there was a great rockabilly concert, it was just as good, great atmosphere but above all incredible staff! Thanks to Rocky for taking care of my French friend and I who were a little lost and for taking "two bloody pigeons" under his wing, we had a good laugh and we left with our hearts full having spent one of the best evenings of our life

Great day out in Liverpool , been visiting for about 9 years now , and have heard many of the artists. You have to be good to play there. Tons of Beatles for sure but also great tributes to many groups who played there and maybe a few who did not. Good atmosphere and nostalgia. My own favourites are Paul Jones and Tony Skeggs who seems to be a terrific all rounder of most things 1960's. Similar could also be said of Craig L W. I just keep going back.

Well we couldn't miss here on our Liverpool visit could we? NO! Fabulous atmosphere as you can imagine. We did initially get it mixed up with The Cavern Pub !!! But the lady soon put us right. £5 entry - the stairs leading down - start the butterfly tummy feeling. The Cavern opens up. You can FEEL the decades of music inside yourself with each breath. We smiled the whole time. Look at the walls - many thousands of names some if very ordinary people who have added to the ambience of this ironic place. The guy playing the guitar and singing - might not be Paul Mc - but hey he was good AND again all added to the ambience of the place. Find yourself a seat - get a drink - stay awhile - enjoy the music - have a walk around - look at all the names and just KNOW - YOU WERE THERE TOO xx ENJOY

Due to the influence of the Industrial Revolution, England was making a lot of money by importing cotton from its colonies and sending it to Manchester to make cotton textiles and exporting them to the colonies, and Liverpool flourished as a port for this. The town was also heavily damaged by German air raids during World War II. In fact, on the east side of the city, there is a cathedral left in ruins due to air raids. It's like the Atomic Bomb Dome in Japan. So, at that time, an underground air raid shelter was built here to escape the air raids, but after the war, in the 1950s, this live house was built on the site. At that time, Liverpool was a burnt-out area due to the war, and the citizens seemed depressed, but the Beatles appeared and cheered them up. The Beatles, who were born in Liverpool, performed at this live house right after their formation, and as they grew, they performed a total of 292 times. It is now one of the Beatles' sacred sites. Unlike Japanese live houses, the atmosphere was created to make the music enjoyable. The street where this club is located is lined with many shops that are somewhere between a live house and a pub, and the best part is that just by walking, you can hear live music coming from the open shops on either side. In Japan, I think it would be a police matter for causing a nuisance to the neighborhood (when I worked at a live music venue in Japan, the love hotel in front of me would complain if just a little sound leaked out when I opened the door). If you live in the UK, Liverpool is the place to be.

If you go to Liverpool, make time to go to The Cavern Club. It is a must. The whole musical 🎼 vibe of Mathew Street is electric. It is easy to find. I walked there, enjoying the sights along the way. £5 entry in the afternoon. Watched a number of artists playing/singing Beatles songs with a few other songs thrown in. Sitting in the club (yes, I managed to get a seat), looking around and trying to imagine what the atmosphere must of been like all them years ago was truly exhilarating. There is something about afternoon drinking that is more enjoyable than evening drinking when you get to a certain age 😉

The Cavern Club is one of the most iconic music venues in the world and an essential stop for anyone visiting Liverpool — especially if you’re a Beatles fan or a lover of live music. Nestled on Mathew Street in the city’s famous Cavern Quarter, the club is a living tribute to the birthplace of the Merseybeat and the global phenomenon that followed. Walking down the steps into The Cavern feels like stepping into musical history. The underground, brick-arched cellar has been lovingly restored using bricks from the original club, giving it an authentic, atmospheric feel. The moment you arrive, you’re greeted by the buzz of excitement and the sound of live music — a tradition this venue has upheld for decades. The Beatles famously performed here 292 times between 1961 and 1963, and while the original venue was demolished in the ’70s, today’s Cavern Club carries its spirit forward with passion and pride. Beatles memorabilia, vintage posters, signed guitars, and wall displays give visitors a sense of the legacy that lives on here. You’ll also find references to other legendary acts that played at The Cavern, including The Rolling Stones, Queen, Elton John, and Adele. The stage hosts performances all day long, from acoustic Beatles tributes and solo singer-songwriters to full evening rock bands. The sound system is top-notch for such an intimate venue, and the energy from the performers and crowd is contagious. Everyone is welcome — tourists, locals, music lovers of all ages — and it’s heartwarming to see strangers unite over timeless music. The drinks are affordable, the staff is friendly, and there’s even a gift shop for Cavern and Beatles souvenirs. You can sit, stand, dance, or just absorb the energy. It’s not a posh or polished experience, and that’s exactly what makes it so special — it’s real, raw, and full of soul. Whether you’re looking to retrace The Beatles’ steps, catch excellent live music, or simply feel part of something legendary, The Cavern Club won’t disappoint. It’s more than a venue — it’s a Liverpool institution, a cultural treasure, and one of the most genuine music experiences you can have in the UK.

It was a pleasant experience and to enter you need to pay, you can pay with a card and for two people it is no more than 300 Mexican pesos. It's like any bar but with a lot of history, you don't have a time limit to be in the place and the truth is that the experience is well worth it. We arrived early so we didn't have to wait in line, but if you don't arrive early you will have to wait as the place empties. Inside you can enjoy very good music, they have 2 stages of which I recommend you enjoy both for a while. The costs of the drinks are variable depending on what you are looking to consume, but they are not high costs, I consider them to be like any place around. It is impressive to see the history of the place, many artists have performed there, and the atmosphere is very good, since all the people go to enjoy a good beer and good music.
